“Beautiful hidden gem”

Lovely quiet and interesting gardens. New tea rooms which are fine but bit expensive. Lots of interesting nooks and crannies, large fish pond where you can feed the carp. Plenty of space to park. Really lovely place.

“Quiet setting!”

Small but beautiful grounds. Go to see the old Wisteria. Great tea room to share notes and a coffee.

“A local hidden gem house and gardens”
Reviewed February 13, 2013

If you are interested in Enfield heritage and only have a couple of hours to spare, this place is idealt. It has recently been remodeled thanks to lottery funding and has pleasant walks in a compact setting, plenty of parking and the cafe is nice, clean, modern and efficient. Nothing of interest for the children although I took my toddler grandson. There is no designated play area or space to let off steam as children need to, However, it's nice that some places are just well are and not turned into a mini theme park. So this is a thumbs up from an 84+ year old mind trapped in a 54 year body!

“Tranquil gardens”
Reviewed December 5, 2012

Lovely gardens and very interesting history. The cafe is nice and you can sit outside in the small courtyard, but the food is rather limited.
