I really like this hotel, having stayed there previously, but the guests staying their weekend of 21 March left a lot to be desired. Children running up & down corridors unchecked and knocking on room doors at 1 o'clock in the morning didn't go down too well. As long as they aren't bothering their parents what do they care? Aside from that this is a lovely hotel in a lovely location. Nicely furnished comfortable rooms, friendly staff and an excellent breakfast. Despite the little horrors I will definitely be staying again.

One of the worst hotels I have ever visited and definitely not worthy of 4 stars. There seems to be a serious problem with a lack of sound-proofing on the second floor - I could hear every word of telephone conversations held by the guy next door and the guy across the hall who had to make a lengthy call at 2.30 am! There was a lot of to-ing and fro-ing all night with lots of door banging. There was a sign in the ensuite asking you to take care in the bath but there was only a shower... The evening meal in the Chace Brasserie was very poor and the waiter was totally disinterested when we complained. Be wary of using the free taxi 'phone at reception as the associated taxi firm charges more than the local Potters Bar taxi company. On the plus side, the room was very clean. I would not stay in this hotel again.

came here for a wedding reception. the hall was large and is good for parties. the building is very pleasant and i like all the old paintings and antiques all around the place the garden is stunning.the bathrooms are modern and clean. the staff are fine. the food was ok. but not that great. my creme brulee was watery and had no flavour. despite this, i would probably stay here again

I stayed 2 nights at the Royal Chace on business. I had a ground floor room, quite small but more than adequate for one person - nicely decorated (and not tatty), clean and well equipped. The bed was very comfortable. There was a flat-screen tv (although not all the channels stated in the info were available). Bit of a problem with the heating - it was on all night and I was unable to turn it down, so slept with the window open.
The bathroom was small but clean and nice tiles! Shower was fine, not overly powerful but good enough.

The bar and restaurant areas at the Chace are very nice - spacious and tastefully decorated. The food is very good. Breakfast is fabulous. A lovely selection of fruit (fresh and dried), yoghurt, cereals etc. The cooked breakfast is self service and very good - sausages especially lovely!
Dinner wasn't quite as impressive as breakfast but very good nonetheless. We had a choice from a set menu, which perhaps accounted for it being not quite as good.

Staff were helpful and efficient - no problems there at all.

The hotel is in the process of building a gym, which will greatly improve the facilities - I definitely missed not being able to exercise after all that breakfast in the morning!

Stayed here as I was on business in Enfield where there is a lack of good hotels. Unless you have a car, then this isnt the place for you as its in the middle of nowhere.

Due to arrive Sunday, but as I was going to be late thought I would call to let them know, however, I was told there wasnt a booking in my name. So arrived very early next day to sort this out, and they realised their mistake so I requested an upgrade which they eventually agreed to. The room had a four poster bed and a larger bath, but certainly not worth the hotel rate if you were to pay.

Rooms were clean and most staff helpful other than a young chap at reception who insisted on controlling tv in the bar so he could watch what he wanted to.

Restaurant was shut on the Monday and as there is very little else close, I had no choice but to eat from the bar menu which wasnt bad at all. In fact it was much better than the meal at the brasserie which again was extremely over priced.

Unlikely I would stay here again.

I have stayed here a couple of times on business and found the hotel suitable. The rooms are a little on the small side but otherwise
fine. The only really comlaint I have is the bath in that the rubber seal around the bath was broken and missing and not very hygenic. The bathroom was otherwise clean.

Free wireless Internet is a welcome bonus. Plenty of parking and near to Enfield centre.

I will be working in Enfield again and will be happy to use this hotel again.

I have stayed at this hotel man times over the years, they have great function rooms, a nice restaurant and the rooms are nice although quite small.
The hotel generally is not what it used to be and it feels as if they are taking their success for granted. The food used to be great, now it is just ok and the meals provided in the last few functions I attended was very average.
Overall I think they need to start making an effort to get this lovely hotel back to what it was.
