Description: At the Hart we believe in great food, great wine and great company. We aim to provide the best locally sourced food, combined with an exciting variety of drinks to match. We place ourselves at the centre of local village life and make sure everyone receives a warm welcome. In warm weather we have a lovely terraced area to the rear, including a beautifully cosy covered wooden seating area. With comfortable cushions and a scandinavian feel. Inside the pub we have a modern bar area, child and dog friendly, where you can relax and enjoy good conversation. When you're ready to eat you can move to our inviting restaurant, which includes an interesting 'Well table' - can you see to the bottom?

One of the best pub/restaurants I've been too. Extensive menu that all looks great and a specials board. Food presented was super and my steak was actually cooked to perfection (makes a change). There was vegetarian that looks so appetising I might convert. Desserts, absolutely. Staff were on the ball and very accommodating. Good range of beers (kept very well) and a good wine list. Price was very keen. If I lived closer, I'd be there every week. Cheers!

Booked a table for Sunday lunch again and was met with a warm and friendly welcome but.....the menu is becoming tired and does needs some wider variety for Sunday lunch like a good curry dish or beef in ale pie etc. I am not sure why these aren't available on a Sunday when most people only have the weekend free and a wider choice should naturally be the pull here?

However, this is a great pub, superb atmosphere and funny and committed staff, the menu just needs refreshing and staying ahead of the curve to keep it contemporary and interesting and stop people drifting to seek this choice elsewhere.

Had a great Sunday lunch here last weekend. Good quality food (plenty of it as well!) at a reasonable price. The service was very good and a nice cosy place to spend a wet Sunday afternoon!

Recently had a fantastic meal here with friends. Asked for a red wine sauce to go with my dish (the sauce was not on the menu) and they accommodated my request with no fuss. Fantastic service and great food presented beautifully - highly recommended.
