Stayed here as a convenient base for a wedding I was attending in Goring but as soon as we arrived we soon saw it was really a destination in itself and we kicked ourselves a bit for not allowing more time to chill out in our lovely room and enjoy the location and views. Sue is a most welcoming and considerate hostess. She took so much care to find out what we were doing on our visit and advise us as to journey times and so on. On finding out I was vegetarian she amended the delicious breakfast to make sure there was plenty I could eat. She is a lovely lady and has converted her property sensitively and cleverly to make the most of the beautiful views over the hills as well as provide a guest room with every facility. She didn't skimp on anything in terms of the room, so we enjoyed Molton Brown toiletries, a lovely range of tea, coffee and biscuits, and gorgeous fluffy towels in the bathroom.
The breakfast was exceptional - again a wonderful range of high quality foods. It is continental in style so along with fresh bread and croissants we were offered cheeses, salmon and meat, plus cereals, fruit, and an array of yoghurts. There could be no better start to your Sunday than such a feast over looking the Chilterns and some gently munching sheep in the field directly ahead of Sue's floor to ceiling window.
Next time we'd come for longer. Thank you Sue for all your kindness and hospitality.
