Second time I've been here and the food has been absolutely mouthwatering both times. Be warned, for all it looks like a village pub it is much more than that in terms of quality and the prices reflect that. It's not cheap but the food is great. Try the salted caramel ice cream - wow!

Owned by two French partners, this really is one of the best finds in South Oxfordshire.
A relaxed atmosphere (quite pubby) and stunning food with a very French style. A massively varied menu from squirrel to Cornish mussels and back to local game with loads of daily specials.
Try the fish soup or sweetbreads for a really tasty starter.

Wonderful New Year's Day meal with friends. Local game, great wine - everything just right.
I started with the tempura prawns - yummy. My partner and one friend had the special of calf kidney with chili but our friend can't eat chili so they cooked his with another sauce!
Only 2 portions of the salted caramel ice cream left - it was amazing
