it is really lovely here loads of birds to feed with the kids an well designed platform which is really safe even with little toddlers and there is little visitors centre to buy feed.car parking id expensive at £2.50 but it goes towardsthe upkeep so i suppose it is a good cause.
well worth a couple of hours.

This is an amazing bird sanctuary. You don't have to be a expert on birds to enjoy the wonderful wildlife walks here. There are hides available to view the birds etc. The RSPB runs it really well giving plenty of information on the migrating birds that you can see at any time of year. Bring your binoculars for some great views of wildlife.

it is a lovely day out for all the family, the kids love it, there are many birds for the children to see, there is also more wildlife and it gives the kids an insight into the country without being to far away from the towns

Small shop and limited refreshements, good area near the main car park with bits to keep the kids interested. There is a much longer walk along the top to the big lake at the other end, but you either have to come back the same way or risk walking round on the road. Several hides for bird watching. Saw a kingfisher on first visit. Great for some fresh air.
