I recently had an all day snowboarding lesson at the Castleford Snozone, hoping to learn the basics for a ski/snowboarding holiday I just got back from.

My instructor Tom Wilburn I can't recommend enough.
Within 2 hours he had me going down from the top of the slope.
Every exercise and technique was described brilliantly.
Huge amount of knowledge and understanding.
And every detail about not just snowboarding in the Snozone, but how it is applied on a real slope was covered.

If like me you've booked a holiday with a load of mates and then realised you don't actually know anything about snowboarding, and want to go from absolute beginner to having a solid understanding of not just basic but intermediate techniques in a day.
This is exactly what you need.

Heres the link to the course. Ask for Tom Wilburn.

Went here when we stayed nearby and we ended up spending quite a few hours here. Lots of things to do for all ages. Plenty of choice for both food and drinks options.

The flow rider looks like great fun as does the skiing and snowboarding. Bowling isn't a bad price if you go early in the day.

Plenty of parking available and a half decent shopping centre right next door.

Went on grandchildren's day off school. Lots of things to do and plenty of food choice. They loved the new indoor golf attraction. Its easy to get to off the M62 (east bound). A tad busy but plenty of choice if your favourite attraction is full.

We met family here one weekend. Xscape has plenty of activities to keep the whole family occupied. We went into the kids play area which was nice and played crazy golf which was fun. There are also plenty of eateries to choose from. I found the prices to be reasonable for all activities and restaurants.
