Myself & one other called in at 6.30pm without a reservation - to be honest, at that time I was amazed how busy they were. The reception staff was very pleasant & found what looked like the last remaining table. The menu arrived & the drinks order was taken immediately. When we ordered the meal 2 x pizzas, I couldn't understand how it was possible that they arrived literally straight away - impossible(?) The pizza bases were perfect buy the topping was awful. The Margareta pizza looked like it had tomato soup on the top - both were 'wet' & unpleasant. Half way through we asked if they could go back to heat / dry them up a bit & the waiter took them without saying a word & returned them in about 2 mins - but they were better. He never asked whether they were now ok nor did anyone ask about any aspect of the meal. Every waiter or waitress that passed the table asked us if we wanted to order more drinks or a dessert. It was a very wierd service. We asked if we could wait between courses & the waitress said no problem. But then the next waiter asked for order, then the next waiter - in the end we placed order & the dessert arrived immediately. Even with sending food back & having two courses we were finished in 30 mins. It was totally rushed & did not feel enjoyable because of this. Can't see us going back, unless it suits us for a super quick meal (!) The whole experience was a shame as I thought the decor was really nice.

On arriving at TIGGIS we were greeted by a lovely lady and shown to the table straight away. As we sat down we were offered 2 different menu's as it was only 5:30 pm and we were told we could order of either menu's.Straight away a lovely waiter came and took our drinks order and within 5 minutes the drinks arrived.
After perusing both menu's we decided to go for the special lunch time menu, which we thought was great value at £10.95 for 2 courses( we since found out, that the lunch time menu serves till 6.00pm)
The starters and garlic bread came within 10 minutes of ordering,to which we devoured within minutes.
The main courses came out 10 minutes later to perfection (the Italian way) only to be devoured !again!
The boys ordered ice creams, and to our surprise the waiters brought out a cake with candles singing happy birthday to the birthday girl (she was overwhelmed)

We can only describe our experience at TIGGIS as excellent .Highly recommended!!!

I don't normally write reviews, but after visiting Tiggis on Saturday I wanted to express how impressed we all were.

We booked a table for 8 at 8 o'clock, we arrived a little before this time and were greeted by a friendly receptionist who gave us the option of sitting straight down or going to the table. We decided to sit straight down and were pleasantly surprised when the waiter brought some balloons to the table, I had briefly mentioned over the phone it was one of our party's birthdays, so the fact that they had made a note of this was great!

We ordered drinks straight away and these promptly came; whilst we were looking at the menus some garlic breads game, which we hadn't ordered, we told the waiter and he said they were complimentary, they were delicious and a bonus. We ordered ten minutes later and the starters were lovely. Mains followed about fifteen minutes later which for a very busy Saturday night was impressive, some people had pasta and some had steaks all of which were generously sized and worth every penny.

To top it off, after desserts they brought out a piece of chocolate cake with a candle for the birthday girl and the waiters all sang Happy Birthday which was funny, it made her night.

Overall we loved the ambience and decor, the food was excellent and the staff couldn't do enough for us; they were efficient, friendly and attentive without being too pushy. We had an amazing night, filled with laughter, good food and great service. Thank you so much to all the staff at Tiggis!

We went to this restaurant as a party of 6 for my Fathers 50th Birthday.

We had booked in advance and was looking forward to the meal. On arrival we were welcomed and told to take a seat in the bar area. We waited 10 minutes for someone to bring some menus over and take our drinks order. I had to ask the manager to take our drink order to which he replied "we don't do that you order at the bar" which we then did. I then had to ask to have a look at some menus. We then went to the table and quickly ordered after that. The two garlic breads we ordered arrived before the waiter had even put the order to the kitchen. One of the garlic breads we hadn't even ordered, we had to ask for it to be swapped. The starters arrived before we had even eaten the garlic bread. The best of the meal was the starters. After we had finished i asked for 10 mins before the main course as it was obvious we were being rushed so they could get the table ASAP.

The main course was terrible. My sister had ordered a salmon pasta dish which was dry and the salmon was grey and chewy from being under a heat lamp. I had ordered a fillet steak rare which came absolutely murdered once again from being under the heat lamps.

The staff are rude and take no attention to their customers. One of the managers was that obsessed with the lady at the front of the reception he didn't even acknowledge the problems we were having, instead feeling it was necessary to grope the young girl at the front. If the staff concentrated on their customers and not the other female staff working it would have been more enjoyable.

Back to the food. I sent my steak back at 22 pound i wasn't settling for a main course that was disgusting. This was meet by several rolls of the eyes of both the older manager and the staff. They were obviously then talking about us at the table from the looks across and the shaking of the heads.

They did knock my main course and my sisters of the bill. However they completely ruined a special occasion which we can never celebrate again.

Overall the food is average but the service of this restaurant is terrible. With so many excellent restaurants close by i urge everyone not to even bother going and find an alternate restaurant.

First ever review as i found the need to express my disappointment so much.

Thanks
