We stayed on a Friday night to break in our journey. It was dark, about 6.30 pm but the hotel can be seen for miles and we went straight to it. We had pre-booked on the Ramada special rates offer and were very pleased with the hotel. The staff were helpful and friendly - the business with the door key needing to be in the slot to have electricity was easily overcome by leaving my wife's key in it. The room was clean and tidy and warm, the breakfast buffet was excellent - we would stay here again.

Hotel has easy parking but parking is only during the night till early hours in the morning. Nice, spacious rooms with air condition but air condition can't be turned on when not in room and room feels rather cold. Dinner with 2-3 course menu reasonably priced, buffet breakfast together with usual extras, however food is just OK

Dear Guest,

Thank you for your recent review, car parking can be an issue at times during office opening hours, how ever we do have a overspill car park just across from the hotel which the reception staff would of been more than happy to show you, You are right that the doors and electricity work via a key card system but has the weather is now getting colder we would of been more than happy to issue you a second key to enable you to leave a key in the electricity slot so that your room would of kepted warm while you were out, i do hope that you will stay with us again and looking forward to welcoming you back to the hotel

thank you

Must be the worst hotel I have had the misfortune to have stayed in. On arrival, staff extremely rude as had booked with breakfast but was not on my reservation and they could not care less and told me to contact the booking agents myself. Attempted to have a drink in the sky lounge after speaking to the bar man , sat there for 15 mins while he stood at the end of the bar on his mobile phone, as we left he asked if there was a problem! Err! let me think!!!!
Rooms are tiny and not very clean, stayed on 8th floor which was very noisy due to a party in the sky lounge till 1am. One lift in the hotel so had to wait an age for it to arrive as children were allowed to play in the lifts so stopped at every floor! Could go on but will spare you, just give it a miss!!!!

Dear Guest,

Thank you for your review, i am disappointed that you found the staff to be rude, you commented that they could not change your reservation to bed and breakfast, if you book via a third party web site they are unable to conduct this process but if you had booked direct with the hotel this should not of been a problem, at weekends we do hold events at the hotel in the sky lounge and these finish at 1.00, we also take tour groups and some are groups of children with there charges and most are very well behaviour and generally go out for the evening.

I am sorry that the hotel didn't meet your expectations and you didn't enjoy your stay, i do hope that you will give us another chance in the near future

thank you for your review

This hotel is a long way north of Birmingham, So not one to stay at if you are visiting Birmingham!
The hotel staff are friendly and extremely willing, but on two occasions when we requested something, we were told that they did normally have it but they had run out. The room was nice, clean and attractively decorated, the bed comfortable, but the pillows were rubbish!
The breakfast was well cooked with a good selection.

Stayed here in November 2013 for 2 nights. It is the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. The staff are rude, the rooms are dirty with hair all over the bed and torn sheets. No bath sheets just ordinary towels that are hard and grey instead if white. I know they allow pets in here but I wouldn't subject my pet to a stay here. But some pets obviously like it because they are allowed to sleep on the beds. It is also noisy. When we first checked in we were a little early so we went to have a coffee in the sky lounge but the waiter couldn't be bothered to serve us as he had more important things to do like chatting on his mobile so we walked out and went to the pub around the corner and had a very nice coffee. Very expensive for dirty rooms, rude staff and noisy. One lift which takes forever to arrive especially when there are kids running wild getting in the lift pressing every button. I would never stay here again even if it was free.

Dear Guest,

Thank you for your review and bringing to my attention your concerns, i am sorry that you felt that all the staff were rude as usually we get very high reviews regarding staff friendliness and this supprises me. We are a hotel that is dog friendly and allows guests to bring there dogs with them, but this is not taken advantage of often and its very far and inbetween when we do have dogs in the hotel, we also take quite a lot of tour groups which are often groups of children, if staff see children running around they will pull them up, but it is hoped that the charges of these children control them and most do go out for the evening.

thank you again for your review and i will pass your comments onto the team, i do hope that you will give us another chance and stay with us again

I arrived at the hotel around 5pm which is in a great location for the motorway toll.

The reception was clean and check in was fast with the information you would expect. I stayed on the second floor and on first impressions the room was clean, the bed was ok, it was neither to firm or soft, it felt like a few more sleeps and it will be uncomfortable. The pillows were particularly flat.

The bathroom was reasonably clean, although the shower room screen had signs of ware and dampness.

The room fridge was handy and the refreshments were as expected, although if you want more than a couple of cups you will need reception.

Thankfully I checked trip advisor for dinner reviews and after having breakfast I am glad that I went to the amazing taaj across from the hotel.

The breakfast was very basic, sausages were like something you would get abroad and the coffee is out of a machine in the dining room.

Overall ok for a night stay, any more you will struggle.

Dear Guest,

Thank you for your recent review, i am really pleased that you enjoyed your recent stay at the hotel, i am sorry that you felt there was no another choice on the buffet, the only time buffets take place are during events ie weddings or when we have tour groups when they require dinner at the same time so we do it buffet style to speed up service how ever we do offer a choice of a 3-3-3 menu, i am sorry that you felt this was not enough choice but i do hope to see you again at the hotel

thank you
