West standen farm is set in beautiful surroundings in the middle of the beautiful Isle of Wight. It is the perfect location in the heart of the island. We travelled from London and it was such an easy journey, about 2hrs in total including the ferry. We were welcomed with a delicious homemade Victoria sponge and a bottle of wine.
Our hosts Edwin and Sally were incredably generous with their time, especially given they are farmers on a working farm in the middle of lambing season. We really enjoyed doing the morning rounds with Sally and grace the dog. We fed the chickens and looked for eggs and helped feed the lambs (that weren't able to feed from their mothers), we even saw 2 lambs being born ( it was utterly incredible). Our son of 20 mths had a great time, he woke up saying woof woof because he missed grace the dog.
I would really recommend staying here.More
