I recently visited even though I have lived on the island for almost 5 years. The enclosures were of high quality, you could tell the animals were happy and well looked after. I found the media and interactive items to be really interesting. The meerkat talk was lovely and the staff are pleasant and welcoming. The gift shop is nice also. I personally really enjoyed the owl section too. I will definitely be returning, perhaps on my own next time so I spend more time instead of chasing my niece around. You must visit this place!

This was one of the highlights of our trip to Isle of Wight!

Having cycled from Cowes we were rewarded with a beautifully quaint place outside of busy Newport. The staff member on reception was very polite and took an interest in us which was nice. The cafe was nice and the staff again were polite.

The feeder? took us around and explained a lot about the animals who were rescued, highlighting some facts that we were unaware of. It was fun hearing about how the monkeys interact with each other in regards to being in charge etc.

Also has owls, reptiles, meerkats and other birds! And a play park for the the kids.

Plans for extension were mentioned as it was a small place, however knowing that our fee was going towards the animals was worth it, I would've paid more!

Recommend for everyone!

The sanctuary is pleasant and well maintained. All the enclosures are clearly labeled with plenty of interesting information (aimed at all ages) about their occupants. The staff were extremely helpful and informative. The cafe is very pleasant and provided a good range of food at reasonable prices. Although visiting as a adult Im sure it would be very interesting and enjoyable for children of a primary school age.
