Description: Take a minute to catch your breath from today’s hustle and bustle. In the beautiful ‘Ronde Hoep’ polder, between the villages of Amstelveen and Abcoude, where the three rivers "The Bullewijk", "The Holendrecht" and "The Waver" merge, you will find our uniquely situated restaurant. Only ten minutes from Amsterdam and Amstelveen. Looking out over the water and pastures you can see the skyline of Amsterdam Southeast with the Amsterdam Arena, Afas live and the Ziggo Dome. In this rural setting, in one of the most beautiful places in the Netherlands, you can enjoy pure, fresh, traditional international cuisine with Dutch influences, with the Leurs family and their staff. Fine wines, a warm, cosy and romantic atmosphere and attentive, friendly hostesses ensure you have a fantastic experience in a relaxed atmosphere. And always with ample and free parking... De Voetangel. That food... that hospitality... that view!

On two minutes walking distance from Villa Oldenhoff, right near the river, this restaurant pleasant service with generous portions of well cooked dishes. We had scallops, a vegetarian starter and two times fish with it's own garnish, next to it we were served fresh appelmoes, potatoe gratin and side salads. On one hand these extra side dishes appears a bit outdated, but on the better hand they were tasty and the meal was excellent value for money. The view is fantastic. Recommended also for the summer terrace.

See the rating. We enjoyed every visit. So do our children. Service, food and ambiance are in balance aswell as the winechart. You do not have to agree but it is worth experiencing it yourself.

This is a big and cozy restaurant hidden in a lonely road in Ouderkerk a/d Amstel. It's the type that the Dutch like, because can accommodate groups in separate rooms and you have to drive to a rural area, through a narrow road enough for a car in one direction and bikes in both sides. So you drive slowly, measuring space when another car come in your direction, until to get in the middle of nowhere to a big and at the same time "gezellig" (nice & cozy) restaurant, you would never find unless you live in that area or a friend who lives there tells you about it.

I went there for lunch with a group of friends for a celebration. I liked the environment and I consider the food good. It was not really very good, but not average either. Just good. The starter was really good, but the main dish, which I had an entrecôte, came a bit cold and almost raw. Then I realised that the waiters didn't ask anybody about how they want their meat. For dessert I had a trio with pear tart/ice cream/bavarois, which was delicious. Price a bit high.

The service, although friendly was quite slowly, and at that day we were the only people in the restaurant. So I guess there is no way for the service to be improved when they have a full house.

We celebrated my retirement with a dinner for two at this old established restaurant. The food was very delicious and there was plenty of it.
Bread, fresh cream butter, pesto mayonnaise and olive oil was served copiously.
Starters; 1. Salmon Tompoes & 2. Salt beef and duck liver terrine. Both very tasty and most unusual.
Main course; 1. Risotto with peas, onion & pecorino cheese shavings. 2. 350 gr. steak with Japanese butter and huge chips. Side servings of salad & potato au gratin. Too good for words.
Dessert; we both had creme brûlée with lavender, orange and grilled pineapple.......again, to die for.
A good bottle of Californian merlot was a great additive to the meal.
The service was excellent, the young lady was very attentive, kind and helpful.

We can highly recommend this fine restaurant.

Sat outside for dinner on a perfect summer evening. Enjoyed an excellent meal from a good menu. Drank interesting wines by the glass. The main course of duck was well prepared and served with an excellent range of accompaniments. Altogether a great way to spend a summer evening watching the world go by on the river.
