“When in Spain eat greay Italian food !”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 29, 2012

I feel a little bit stupid writing this as we have eaten at many fantastic places in Spain. However, my wife loved this place. Octopus carpaccio was fresh and light, the pasta was cooked to perfection and the deserts were sublime (tiramisu was the best either of us have ever eaten and we have tried a lot !!)
€9 for three courses is great value - if you fancy a break from the wonderful Spanish cuisine (we had been in Spain for 16 days by the time we ate here) go to Matias Locanda.

“Excellent for dinner & breakfast!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 16, 2012

Loved this place! After many a night of pilgrim meals was looking forward to trying something different. This oh so appealing place draws you in (besides the tasty food, they also have a friendly staff & a great varied collection of music playing softly in the background) with a wonderful dinner of as many courses as I could gobble up I left happy and decided to come back for their breakfast buffet. The breakfast was a spread of so much goodness I was happily fueled for many hours. Stop here - - you'll be glad you did.

Pizza, Lambrusco, dessert and the owner Alex all = one of the best camino meals in five weeks.

“Best food I had on the Camino”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 11, 2012

Finally pasta that was cooked al dente...plus sauces not poured out of a jar. This place was a breath of fresh air compared to typical pilgrim meals. They even had tomato sauce with artichokes and cheesecake for dessert! The couple who runs it are from Italy and were very lovely hosts on top of serving good economical food along the trail.

“Great place for "pilgrim friendly" Italian food while on the Camino.”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 14, 2012

Outstanding authentic, homemade Italian food. Menu del dia included minestrone, eggplant parm, Tiramisu, and bread - all made from scratch and the pasta made to order. With wine and water made for a great meal for 9e. Looking forward to the breakfast buffet before heading out. While in Sarria this is a great stop.
