Party of six had the set menu lunch for €14 a head on a very hot day in Pals. Nice shaded table in the courtyard, food was a hearty three course lunch with wine, bread and water. Food was decent rather than spectacular but nevertheless great value. Service was good and, despite them being busy and popular there was no pressure to rush us through. A great place for a leisurely lunch.

Stumbled across El Pedro while walking through Pals, and left incredibly content. The lunch menu was 3 courses, including a bottle if wine (if two people at the table get the menu) for 14€ each. I had a goat cheese salad that was spectacular, while my husband had caprese. The mains were a bit mediocre (bistec and chicken), and simply served with fries and some boiled vegetables. Dessert was a chocolate coulant and panna cotta - yum.

What a lovely setting this is, we sat in the courtyard in the main entrance of this restaurant. Great surroundings and lovely ambience. We all agreed the food was good. Best grilled skate I have had. We had children with us and they had a good spaghetti and and ice cream. A high chair was available. The waiter was very welcoming to them. Other food highlights were the fillet steak and mixed grill. For 4 adults all with starters, mains, desserts, coffee and 2 children main and ice cream. Wine and a couple of glasses of cava. 158 euros (not inc service)

Pals is a lovely town and I feel this place captured the beauty of it.

We were a group of two couples: we older folks taking our young newly-wed friends out to dinner. We happened upon El Pedro while visiting Pals at sunset. We were greeted courteously by the son of the chef, who told us, smiling, "My mother is cooking tonight, you are lucky!" We sat inside, though the night was warm, to avoid a few smokers on the terrace, but the very pretty atmosphere in the rooms, and the views of the old village from the windows were really lovely. The waiter spoke Catalan to our young woman friend, who was born and raised in Barcelona. We were all happy with our dinners. We had appetizers -- wonderful Gazpacho and salads. Bread was served gratis, with mild light green olive oil that was so good, our Catalan friend asked where to buy it. We shared a liter of delicious Sangria, and we all had perfectly-cooked meat entrees -- lamb, pork or beef, which were served with excellent vegetables. Grilled eggplant was especially good. We shared one perfectly-made flan. We were all stunned when our bill was 80 Euros. It was our last night in Spain and couldn't have been better. Thank you, El Pedro. We will never forget that dinner.

A very nice restaurant in a beautiful village, nice service, low prices, but very plain food, I would recommend they hire a chef.
