We've been travelling to L'escala for some 15 years now and have walked past this restaurant on many occasions. This year thanks to the many positive comments on tripadvisor we thought we'd try it and we were not disappointed . The food and service was excellent. The chef and owner Juan really cares about the food he prepares and we enjoyed many new tastes . The waiters or "food laboratory "assistants were superb, interesting and made our visits (2 in 5 days ) very special..thanks jordie and juan. We tried the menu del dia and an evening meal and both were worth every penny.The food I must impress was top quality and amongst the best I have eaten anywhere. The wine list was great and the chilled house red I had with the menu del Dia also very good. when visiting the restaurant the chef/owner came out to check how the food was for us which was a nice touch. We tried the hake, some mackerel starters and some duck and all were amazing. The owners talents do not end with food , his display of photography next door was also inspiring and really captured the light and character of the bay of roses at different times of the Year. Can't wait to get back.
