I went tor 2 weeks and stayed in a 1 bedroom appartment actoss the road which has the sea view. There was 4 of us and the 1 bedroom was enough. its in the middle if a nice area, pool is very nice, beach is lovely. Salou and Cambrils only a 10 minute bus ride away so very convenient. Was a lovely holiday and would recommend it to anyone

We have just returned from a weeks stay at these apartments on the 27th july. There was 2 families with 2 children and we had 1 bed apartments in block 5 (rooms 111 and 112) which had amazing views over the beach. The rooms are quite basic but were well stocked with all the crockery and utensils you could need. There was a cleaning pack left with washing up liquid, sponge etc and tea towels were with the towel bundles. You will have to make your beds up but its not the end of the world. As stated in other reviews you will need to flick the circuit breaker behind the door to turn on the electrical.

The beds are ok in the bedroom but the pull out sofa bed wasnt very comfortable. Especially if you are over 6 foot as your feet hang off the bottom.

The area surrounding the hotel is fairly quiet but there are 3 places to eat within a minutes walk. Molly Malones and O'Driscolls both do great food and are reasonably priced with very good service. Mucky Ducks was more expensive, the service wasnt as good and neither was the food. The supermarket is located between the 2 sections of the hotel on the road. It is well stocked, reasonably priced and open until 11.30pm. It is much cheeper than the pool bar for drinks, ice creams etc if you are spending the day by the pool.

One of the best things about this place is the sun bed policy. They arent available untill 11.00am when the life guard comes on duty. There is a 1 euro charge per bed per day, but it prevents all the getting up at the crack of dawn to put towels down. The pool although it was quite busy was never so cramped that you were packed in like sardines as we witnessed at some of the hotels near Salou. The train tracks do run quite close to the back of the hotel but you get used to them during the day. I dont know what they were like at night though.

Check in wasnt until 2.00pm but we went back to reception at 1.20pm and they were ready. We had arrived at 9.45am so we had a while to explore the area once we had dropped our bags off in a room off of reception.

The area itself is fantastic. It is much quieter than Salou but its a pleasent walk to Salou or Cambrils if you are looking for more action. The beach is gorgeous and there are always things going on along the promenade especially during the evening. Our only complaint was the lack of cash points near by. We were told that one of the hotels on the way to Salou had one but we couldnt find it, so take plenty of cash with you.

All in all we had a fantastic holiday and we all agreed that we would return in a heart beat. Dont be put off by some of the negative reviews.

Room Tip: If possible go for block 5 or 6 overlooking the beach. Fantastic views!

Arrived at pins playa despite telling Thomsom
I was disabled was given a 3rd floor 1 bedroom apartment overlooking a bar, not a problem I hear you say we were helped across the road with a drop kerb on just one side. We tried to get in the lift wheelchair would not fit we had to fold it and get in with crutches not ideal. We asked to be moved to a ground floor apartment after 2days we was given a ground floor studio and charged €30 cleaning fee which we where told everyone who moves has to pay. The studio was overlooking the beach and O.K. But not a one bedroom apartment. On the whole not suitable for the disabled hence we won't be returning

Room Tip: Ask for sea view

We have just returned after spending two weeks at these apartments. The good points were that it was spacious, clean upon arrival, well kept and clean pool. However the apartments were never cleaned in the two weeks. Towels were changed around twice and our rubbish cleared once. You have to supply your own toilet paper. Another bad point is that you have to pay a euro for the sun bed. So a family of four over the course of one week could end up spending 28 euros on sun beds alone! Also the lift in our block broke down twice in three days. This was incredibly inconvenient for us as we had a wheel chair bound family member. Finally it was very noisy. The apartments were not sound proof and there is a rail way track at the back of the apartment. A lot of trains passed at all hours including at night which made it very hard to sleep. It may suit some people but there are better places to stay in salou.

Room Tip: Close a room in block three or four as these are away from the rail way line and are quieter as a re...

Myself and my husband and two children recently stayed here for a week, we stayed in Block 5 across the road on the beach side, the location of the apartments is great we were right on the beach but the cleaniness of the apartments left a lot to be desired. Upon checking in I noticed the kitchen was crawling with ants the kitchen presses had lumps out of them and one of the press doors in the kitchen was hanging off the hinges. We notified reception about the ants and we were given a spray, by the end of the week we had gone through the whole can !!! The air conditioning unit blows hot air on the balcony and the floor was constantly swimming iwith water. The room was cleaned once during our stay you are provided with a mop and brush to clean urself, these apartments would be great because of the location if the management put some money into cleaning them up and doing some renovations. Bottom line I wouldn't stay here again and I wouldn't recommend them.

We have just returned from a week at these apartments and they have good and bad points!
We was first given an apartment above a bar looking out onto an alleyway, we went and asked at reception if it would be possible to pay extra for sea view they did this for us with no charge and a big smile. The one bed apartments are in need of refurbishment we couldn't close either bathroom or bedroom door at all (complained never got fixed). The sette and pull out bed in living room are the worst we have slept on waking up with back ache every morning. The view of beach is amazing but come bar closing time 2pm it was constant noise from beach! Cleaners came once in the week we was there only left clean towels no clean bedding and they didn't really clean to be honest. You do have to buy own toilet rolls. For a family of 4 these apartments are the smallest we have stayed in, the hall takes up most of the space. On the plus side the swimming pools was lovely, staff all friendly and helpful. A few bars in area but all serving same sort of food. Area got boring and we ended up getting buses and taxis into salou and cambrils both can be walked along beach in 45 mins but with 2kids and heat wasn't fun! Supermarket nearby which was reasonable on most things. Wouldn't return because there simply isn't enough for our family to do there and I need sleep which was near on impossible with beds and noise from beach. The train also got annoying every 20mins beeping their horns as the went past .

Room Tip: Personally think its hard to beach side is noisy all night and pool side is noisy from constant trai...

Was here 5th July 2013 had been here in 2005 also.
Whole difference night and day.
English couple ran restaurant part and entertainment on previous visit. This time round they had made fatal mistake of changing the stage area from over by the restaurant to the other side of the pool. Entertainment dead as a dodo except for thursday night the lovely Amanda doing Karaoke. Staff except for Juan have very little understanding of English (bad basic). Happy note location great beach just across the road as well as the Rugby Tavern and Mucky Duck. Great for food. If you're looking for nightly entertainment expect about ten gueats to be in attendance. Place needs a shake up as well as a kick up the back side to the reception staff and waitresses servers. Only people alivel in the place the life guard and the Waiter Juan. Will never return :( Bad to sa as waited 8 years to get back there

Room Tip: train track right at out bedroom and balcony window, trains insisting on Hooting every time they pas...
