“brilliant family resort”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 7, 2013

We stayed in Cambrils park for one week from 13-20 Sept. We stayed in the two bed la mediterranea 1st floor apt. This resort is really suitable for families. The apts were really gorgeous, spacious, spotless and with a fully equipped kitchen. They also have gorgeous big terraces. Both bedrooms were on-suite and the travel cots contained extra mattresses which makes such a difference. The facilities, pools etc are just great...the restaurants are good but the menu in all is quite similar so you get a bit sick of it after a few days...we found the staff to be really accommodating. You would need to be really picky to find much wrong, but if I'm doing that just for your information two things, given the number of English speaking guests, all the entertainment was in Spanish, also only for those of us with very small kids, the door handles on the apartments are at child height and very easy for my 2 year old to open. But in all, I would highly recommend this place to anyone with young children.

Room Tip: book directly with the hotel to chose one that suits you from the map

Just back from our holiday at Cambrils, great holiday. We stayed in an Aloha bungalow and yes they are basic, dark and compact, but they are also clean, comfortable and adequate although if we do go again next year think we will up grade to a Bonita. The site is amazing, lots of pools, for all ages, for our 2 1/2 yr old it was a water park in itself! he loved the Elephant fountains and slides. All the areas are very clean and well kept, public loos clean and there were even tiny little toilets for children which was a great idea. We ate in most of the restaurants, not a great selection but food was reasonably priced and fair quality. We agree with everyone elses comments about the staff, not the most welcoming or friendly, no one seemed to speak English or perhaps they chose not to! with all these comments on here saying the same thing you would think they would have tried to improve that by now. You don't get anything in the bungalows so you will need tea towels, washing up bits, loo roll, the on site supermarket is good but there is a bigger one just five mins up the road. The closest shops, restaurants and beach is 10-15 min walk away and also the bus stop which we used lots, you can get a bus to Port Aventura for just under 2 euros per adult. Can highly recommend, we went end of September so the place was very quiet and the weather was still great.

Room Tip: Entertainment at night is very loud until very late so try and choose the outskirts. The new Medite...

This had to be one of, if not the best, family holiday we have had. The resort itself is fantastic. It is spotlessly clean and very well run. Some of the staff may not be overly friendly but we didn't need to have too many dealings with them anyway. We are a family of 4 with a 3 and 7 year old. The kids loved the resort. We walked to the beach one day and used the free bus to return. Convenient but you really have enough going on in the resort that there is no need to leave. We ate out twice in Cambrils-approx £10 in taxi. Lovely town with some lovely restaurants. Pasta e basa - I would recommend if you like Italian. Villa bonita are fab! Supermarket has pretty much everything you need. Remember to bring your own dish/drying cloths, handsoap. There's a dishwasher and tabs there for the week provided. Towels provided. Great spot and we will definitely be back!!

Stayed here for two weeks in september and it was fantastic. Loads of choices with regards pools but children's pool could do with being heated. Had the bonita bungalow with everything you need. Bought a BBQ in the on site supermarket. Staff are ok. Some are really friendly while others are not so approachable. The supermarket, laundry and bakery staff are very helpful and pleasant. Walk to beach about 10 mins down a hill over a rail track but they do a shuttle bus also. Cambrils itself is a way nicer than Salou. However the Guiness tavern in Salou is worth a trip for the Choclate Bomb alone. Will definitely return.

Room Tip: Make sure you pick one away from where bins are collected early in morning and also if you prefer an...

We had an amazing holiday in Cambrils Park Resort. It ticked all boxes for our family of five. There was something for everyone and the park was very safe. The on site supermarket is very good and there is also some supermarkets close by. The bakery was great, as was the launderette. The pools are great and the park is spotless clean. Was without a doubt one of the best holidays we had and we would go back in a heartbeat.

I think Cambrils park resort is fabulous. Great set up, 3 different pool areas, good sized villas , well stocked supermarket with competitive prices compared to other supermarkets near by, no need to go elsewhere - laundry service is very good, ground staff great, reception -sometimes slow but service is thorough and polite, One thing i liked alot was the hiring of beach towels, pay 10 euros for a huge towel and use it during your stay, then return it and get your money back, same with the villa safe for 25. The Polynesian restaurant staff were woeful, service sucked!! rude, and they let the place down, the take away setup wasn't much better, but went back twice because the chicken was pretty good, but service wasn't. The elephant pool was brilliant as was the Mediterranean pool, sand is fake so doesn't stick to you or your belongings, but felt weird. mini bus to the beach was good, but wasn't running in our first week. shows were good, and the lion king show was impressive, even if it was in Spanish, and we don't speak the lingo- cleaning staff who clean the empty huts and replace towels are very nice, gardening staff are forever watering the lawns, well stocked library of books in reception, only a short walk to beach - we went late in season 9th - 23 September, so got a good cheap price for 2 weeks, we stayed in Aloha huts and they are great, but a little dark, they are very clean upon arrival, all of them have a big fridge freezer, the showers are top notch, you will need to buy in cleaning products as they dont get a service clean at all during your stay, thats your job, the clothes shop is ok, some trinkets and gift items and pool inflatables and toys are cheaper then in town, but clothes arnt, wine and beers are very cheap in the supermarket. They also sell ice, decent butter and good milk. bakery staff there are friendly, great selection of breads, pastries etc , if you spend over 40 euros in supermarket , you get a free delivery to your hut. overall Id say it is a great place, best for kids and family groups, take note not suitable for rowdy groups or couples - as security comes around after 12 midnight to shush you, your huts are close together so you really do need to be considerate of others. As for bbQ'S You can buy them in shop for approx 45 euros, but people leave them behind as well at back of your villa and you can re-use them, charcoal is around 4.50, good selection of meats in shop, but no decent steak, big round sausages are yummy. water is cheap, but veg selection could be better. would i go again? yes i would but only in Sep as Ive heard June- Aug, can be very full and expensive.

Room Tip: aloha buts are great but dark, from all the wood, bonitas are slightly bigger and very bright and co...
