We stayed at Hotel Tarongeta for two nights in late July. Its located just outside the town, but you can reach everything in Cadaques in about 5 minutes walking - and Cadaques is really beautiful! We booked some weeks ahead, and I don't think its easy to find vacant rooms at this town during summer by drop-in. The hotel were full when we stayed there, but we hardly never saw other guests.
The hotel is located on right hand side when entering the town by car. (The hotel have parking in front of the hotel) Some maps shows that the hotel is located in the middle of the town, thats a mistake.
Hotel Tarongeta is clean with tiled floors and the staff are friendly and helpful. The lady at the front desk when we arrived didn't speak english - but everything went fine! The room were big and airy, everything is white. Good AC and view over the parking and main road. Some traffic sounds in the mornings, but not a big problem. More annoying are the fact that you can hear people walk and talk in the corridor, and even hear people singing in the shower in the other rooms. Concrete walls, thin doors, and everything is tiled.
You can buy breakfast at the hotel (7,50 EUR). We didnt try it, and never saw anyone who did either. Lots of other places to eat for breakfast, lunch and dinner.More
