have just returned this week from an awesome 5 nights at this hotel with my family (all 7 adults) and cannot praise it enough. Decided to take a break to some sunshine to give my daughter and son-in-law some respite from the awful Scottish weather as they were visiting for Christmas from Australia. We checked-in early evening on first night and, after seeking out the buffet restaurant to refuel, we walked around the hotel to have a look and could not believe how amazing the hotel was. Myself and my husband tend to stay at mainly 4 and 5 star hotels when we travel ourselves but as we were paying for everyone this 3 star all inclusive hotel came up very reasonably priced and I advised everyone beforehand not to expect too much as it was only for a short break. How wrong was I. Everywhere we went we were blown away - our rooms were huge, each with double sofa bed in lounge area and 2 twin beds in bedroom area and what a view overlooking the sparkling pool and sea. There is a rooftop sunbathing area " the solarium "with a jacuzzi, sunbeds and 2 hammocks with breathtaking views over the entire area. There is also a lovely deck area along from reception again with amazing views to sit in the evening. The icing on the cake was the spa in the hotel - unbelievable and the pictures on the website do not do it justice. Fabulous pool, salt water floating area, sunbeds, massage bed, water beds and very well equipped gym (all free of charge) . We all took major advantage of the spa while we were there and if you timed it well you could have the entire place to yourself (we travelled winter may be very different in peak summer months) . The entire staff are amazing at this hotel - especially the entertainment team (Christina and Astrid) who work timelessly during the day with pool games to keep adults happy as well as with the kids club activities and evening entertainment. The rooms are kept spotless with daily cleaning and making up of beds and all throughout the hotel you always see someone cleaning something. The food and drink worth every penny all inclusive (only disadvantage is you tend to over eat and drink) you certainly would never go hungry with breakfast, lunch, snacks at the pool and dinner all amazing choice and quality. Really impressed with this little gem of a hotel and definitely think it deserves much more than its 3 star status. The surrounding area was very quiet - one way takes you along the coast to the little fishing village of Arguineguin which was lovely and quaint with a weekly market. The other direction from the hotel takes you along the coast to the Anfi Beach timeshare resort which was very upmarket, not really for the less mobile as you have to negotiate some rocky paths but lovely walk if you can manage it, Puerto Rico is further along the coast in this direction. However, few people would want to stray far from the hotel anyway as it has everything to hand. Our Australian relatives had an amazing holiday, they have stayed in quite a few hotels in europe the past month and this little hotel beats them all hands down. Thank you Dorado Beach, we will return.

Room Tip: all rooms have amazing views but ask for one high up - less noise from kitchen in morning.

I have just got back from a week at this hotel and can honestly say that it was one of the nicest hotels that I have stayed in.

I wasn't expecting a great deal from a 3* hotel but everything from the moment we checked in was fabulous!

I will start with the food: For breakfast you could have pancakes, waffles, fresh meat or a variety of hot cooked food. They also had serano ham or smoked salmon on alternate days which was lovely.

You could then choose to eat lunch either at the pool bar where they served chicken from the spit, salad, pizza, hotdogs or various other things or you could go into the restaurant for another lovely meal of salad and cooked food.

Dinner was equally as nice with show cooking every night and a massive choice of quality food from quality ingredients.

Drinks were self service for wine, lager and soft drinks and you could ask at the bar for anything else and these were again lovely, especially the cocktails.

The kids play area was fab, lots to do although the entertainers could have tried a bit harder with the kids, they didn't really spend any time with them and you had to chase over the hotel looking for when the different games were on during the day- although this is the only negative point about the hotel.

There were lots of German and Belgium people staying there and they were all absolutely lovely, didn't have a problem with there no being lots of Brits and overall a fantastic holiday... I will difenately be going back.

The rooms were nice, the bathroom a bit tight getting the kids in and out of the bath, kept banging the shower screen but thats the only negative thing. There was no air con but there was a fan and as we were on a high floor, I just kept the balcony door open so it was nice and cool.

The staff were all really nice and pleasant and I look forward to going back here again soon.

We have just come back from a really beautiful holiday that we all enjoyed very much.
The staff were more than helpful. The bar and restaurant staff were always busy and working hard.
Beer and wine were on tap, So was soft drinks. The cocktails were amazing you could choose from alcoholic ones or non alcoholic!. One of the things I was impressed with were the amount of brand drinks served (Malibu, disarrono etc)
The food was delicious. You could always find more than a few things to eat.
At breakfast you could have sausage, bacon, potatoes, Beans. There was a fantastic selection of meats and fish (like smoked salmon) and cheeses and freshly baked rolls and cereals. I particularly enjoyed the waffles and pancakes!
Some of the food we enjoyed for lunch and dinner were lamb chops, pork, freshly cooked salmon steaks. Omelettes, Lasagne, Steak, Moussaka, paella, muscles, Chicken, fries, plenty of salad and Plenty of fruit. Pasta, meatballs, Rice, Burgers and sausages and so much more. We enjoyed every meal time and tasting lots of different foods.
The spa was amazing! I went to it about 4 or 5 times. The water was warm and the different jets were so relaxing. Their was buttons to turn on the jets and the different water features (Like a machine that made it rain!)
The pool was beautiful. It had under water ledges to sit or stand on. Two corners of the pool had Jets of water you could turn on like a jacuzzi.
There was always plenty of sunbeds and chairs to sit on.
The pool bar was brilliant (Opened at 10.30am and closed at 11pm) The snacks were really nice and included Pizza, hot dogs, chips and rotisserie chicken. Also you could get Ice cream at any time (Delicious!) and you could order hamburgers and other things.
The disco bar stayed open until 12.
The piano bar was lovely. Really nice seats and a beautiful view.
One thing I have to mention is how clean everything was. I was a little worried as due to medication and illness I have a very low immune system. As soon as you finished your meal and drinks a member of staff were their to take them away. All cutlery were sparkling. The pool and around the pool and spa was cleaned perfect and the rooms were very clean. (There was even someone sponging down the plants lol)
The beach is a small pebble beach. It has a wave breaker so if you are careful you can go in and swim. It took a while to get in and out but was worth it to swim in the and perfectly clear water and see the fish!
We had a fantastic holiday. The best I have ever been on and I'm 26! The food was amazing, the view was breathe-taking. All inclusive was definitely worth it even if you aren't drinking alcohol. Would definitely visit again. In fact I don't see how another hotel could be better!
One last thing I should mention is the glass lift! It's awesome!

The Hotel provided everything two adults and two teenagers needed for an enjoyable and relaxing two week stay at a reasonable price. Arguineguin is a small Canarian town mainly set around a large harbour with a few Hotels set very close to the beach. The Dorado Beach is in a very charming setting overlooking the Ocean. Most rooms overlook the swimming pool and have a sea view however some are located to the side and rear therefore if an Ocean View is important book a premium room.

Everyone works hard in this hotel to make your stay very enjoyable. Rarely if ever have I been to a Hotel in the Canaries that has it together on all fronts however the Dorado Beach does (been to the Canaries several times). The Reception team cannot be more helpful; from providing directions and local bus information to replacing lost key cards. It was clear they wanted to help, Nestor, you deserve a special mention for your friendly and helpful manner.

Whilst the dining room was often busy at peak times we always managed to find a table. On previous stays at All Inclusive Hotels I have often found the buffet service repetitive after two weeks, however not at this Hotel, the selection is the most wide and varied I have come across and every meal I ate was cooked to perfection. The Restaurant offers a different themed cuisine each night with at least three different dishes to choose from with several other selections available (not part of the theme).

The Pool Bar provides self service soft drinks, Sangria, on tap Dorada Beer and local wines for the guests to help themselves throughout the day to 7:00pm. Bar staff are quick and helpful in providing all other drinks and snacks. The Pool Bar offers a good selection of snacks such as pizza, cheese and ham sandwiches, chips and nuggets, burgers etc with self service ice cream offering a range of flavours.

Whilst the sun beds directly around the Pool area were often reserved early on the Hotel grounds are fairly large with sun beds and parasols generally available. At one point during our stay the Hotel was at capacity and there were still one or two sun beds available. The pool covers a large area with two integral Jacuzzis and a fountain. Most days water aerobics or water polo was available. Alternately there is a Solarium on the top of the Hotel for guests over 16 also with a Jacuzzi and some hammocks.

Whilst the whole Animation Team worked tirelessly and were ever helpful, a special note to both Moses and Martin who always made an effort to have a quick chat. There is an extensive daily entertainment programme if you wish to join in activities from water polo to rifle shooting, archery and French bowls. For smaller children there was a dedicated team looking after the younger kids who always seemed to be enjoying themselves, especially at the evening mini disco dancing.

The evening entertainment varied from professional shows most nights a week to the occasional animation team fun evening. The Bar staff in the lounge area were always quick and helpful to serve and coped well at busy times. If the Hotel could improve on anything it would be to have a professional show each night of the week and not just on three or four occasions; my only reason for not giving a five out of five rating. The Piano Bar offers a more relaxed atmosphere with live music four nights out of seven and the evening views fit the peaceful mood perfectly.
The Spa area on the lower floor of the Hotel was a real surprise and was a welcome break away from the Sun during particularly hot spells. The Dead Sea salt bath was really relaxing and never overly busy. The Snow Room was very unusual and after getting used to it was very pleasant experience. The Hotel offers all these facilities as part of the package with a massage being the only additional charge.

Arguineguin is a small Canarian fishing port town with a few local shops and bars that offer limited shopping but it is certainly worth taking an hour to walk around, the harbour is a working fishing port giving a pleasant insight into the customary side of the island. Five minutes walk from the Hotel there is a strangely desolate Commercial Centre which appears new but mostly uninhabited units.

A steak house and Chinese Restaurant are very close to the Hotel however we didn’t notice many places for eating out therefore were glad to have booked All Inclusive. There is a Spar within a ten minute walk and several buses stop on route from Puerto Rico ten minutes away to Playa Del Ingles half an hour in the opposite direction. A taxi from Palmitos Park on the outskirts of Playa Del Ingles cost 25 Euros when we stayed in the Park too long and missed the last bus out at 5.15pm.

Room Tip: If an Ocean View is important book a premium room or request an upgrade.
