“Soothing and excellent place in Gran Canaria”
Reviewed January 24, 2014

Selected this place on purpose as it was our fist visit to Gran Canaria, equally staying aside from the 'too touristic' places as we were looking for a one week relaxation. Located in Argineguin the hotel is nicely set close to the water front with almost all rooms having a clear view towards the Atlantic. It is only on the second and third floor you may have some palm trees interfearing with the beautiful views of the Atlantic. We had a room on the 9th floor where the view is simply stunning. All staff very friendly and always ready to serve you to meet your requirements. Breakfast buffé well sorted with broad selection of bread, serials, fresh fruit, cheese, etc including a Breakfast Chef for your convenience preparing omellets, sunny side eggs, pan cakes, scrambled eggs etc to your liking. Outside pool area plenty of space, equally corners to tuck away if needed, pool bar, tennis court, beach volleyball, pool tables all nicely fit in to the compund where you use your room key card to access the outer area/water front promenade taking you to other restaurants outside the hotel. Friendly (and safe) for families with kids in all respect with a separate playground for the smaller ones to blow of steem if the kids pool wouldn't suffice. Hotel Restaurant 222 on the 11'th floor(beside the reception) is definitely worth while a visit. Not only for the spectacular view but also the food itslef. Outside bar on the same floor you simply can not miss as it talks to you right in your face once you enter in to the main lobby. Would I go here again? Yes! Recommend it to others?...Think I just did right? This is worth while and you won't regret it.

Wonderful from A to Z !!!
Rooms are well appointed and a brilliant view on the bay. Breakfast is a "Super Buffet" with extremely attentive staffs for all. 2 swimming pools, tennis, spa with great massage to relax from a lazy day :-) Located few minutes walk to a larger beach with many places to go, restaurants, bars, mini golf... The ground/top floor restaurant is great for cozy dinner, used the bar daily for fresh Gin & tonic.
Love to return. Soon!

Just spent a week here and it was nothing if not wonderful. From the minute we checked in where we were upgraded to a 3-bedroom luxury suite to the excellent meal in 222 restaurant.

The room was excellent. 8th floor provided an amazing view, and the end unit had the largest balcony, complete with lounge chairs, table, couch and jacuzzi. The beds were very comfortable. All rooms equipped with large 42 inch flat screen tv's. Only a few English channels however. Bathroom was large and well equipped, water pressure was great.

Kitchen was large and fully equipped with basics. Excellent place if you wanted to cook all meals.

Breakfast was included in buffet restaurant. Selection was wide, but the same everyday. Fresh Belgium waffles and omelets were the best. A nice touch was the champagne available at breakfast.

We had two dinners at 222 and they were good. I found the lobster soup to be a very rich dish with an exceptionally large portion. Other than that, the dishes were excellent. They were good at catering for children as well.
Other places we visited were, valentinos, la Aquerela, pizzeria amici, and fusion. I found that there were plenty if nice restaurants within close proximity and trip advisor helped me pick all of them. We were not disappointed with any.

Pool was nice, never that busy and heated almost warm enough. The beach beside the hotel to the east was close and nice for swimming in the waves. On the otherwise there is a protected area for swimming.

The kids club was really good. The staff was great! And had good activities even though there weren't many children there. Would have been nice to be able to leave our almost 4 year old for an hour or two, but that was only for over 4.

All in all, it was an excellent stay that met and exceeded our expectations. We would definitely return or recommend for other families.

Had a superior suite for two persons. The suite were about 100 square metres and consisted of a spacious kitchen (fully equipped), living area, marble bathroom and bedroom with a very comfortable bed. The balcony was huge. Unfortunately we did not get a jacuzzi, but that was ok. The quality of the furniture ++ in the suite was very good.

There was housekeeping during daytime and a turn-down service in the evening. Housekeeping was ok, but not perfect, as they did not tidy the room completely. Maybe that say something more about us than them; I dont know.

The food was excellent and so were the waiters and the concierge service. They all performed A+ and accomodated all our requested needs during our week long stay. We struggled to find a renting car for one day, but the concierge fixed it right away till a very good rate! Breakfast is super good and there are many options to chosed from. There even was a cook in the breakfast hall preparing egg, omelettes, pancakes, waffles, etc, and they also served sparkling wine for breakfast.

The spa department was about average level I think after having a treatment there. The gym was a minus as it was very small and was lacking in equipment, specifically dumbells over 10 kilos.

Arguineguin and Patalavaca are not very interesting plages to visit, I think. We came here only because we wanted to stay in the resort. If we ever go back to the Canary Islands, Radisson Blu will be our first choice and it is highly recommended!

We had a great stay at this hotel. The location is good, the amenities are great and the staff are friendly. When it comes to the rooms / apartments, we stayed in a three bedroom apartment. It was just excellent. Flat screen TVs and separate bathrooms for each room and a sizeable balcony. I'd easily recommend this to anyone. If there's anything that I'd offer as an opportunity for improvement, it's the dinners in the pool side restaurant (half board). The food is okay, but it's nothing special.

I have stayed at Radisson Blu, Gran Canaria 3 times this year plus know of at least two different groups of friends that have also stayed in 2013 and we all have the same opinion - excellent Hotel.

My family and I stayed here the weekend before Christmas for a few days of swimming and sun and I have to say it is pretty hard to fault. The rooms are recently renovated to a high standard with really convenient facilities incl full kitchen (we cooked a full sunday lunch whilst there) and washing machine - which is perfect as we have a 6 month old. The weather was excellent, one of the pools (the largest) was heated to 27 degrees (pool for babies/toddlers was at 29 degrees), the staff are warm and welcoming and breakfast has plenty of variety.

A really easy choice if you are looking for a relaxing Hotel that is modern and clean, with great views out to sea and properly heats it's pool in winter (most on the island say they heat their pools but rarely do it to this level).
