Stayed in July in a Wellness Room - cons - ground floor balcony looked onto fence 10 feet away, 2 single beds pushed together which constantly slid apart on marble floor, entertainment not great, Wifi doesn't really work in rooms.
That said everything else was wonderful. Spotless everywhere, helpful staff, cleanest pools ever, always got sunbeds any time of day, 2 mins to beach, food as good as self service buffet food gets, well laid out, peaceful. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend it & may even return one day. Enjoyed playing in the waves on the sand dune beaches, miles of golden sand & only 7 euros taxi ride. Had a great time at the Music Hall Tavern. Best thing for us was that the beds were so comfy we slept well and so enjoyed our days so much more (we do like a soft bed). I emailed the hotel beforehand asking for soft bed, received quick reply, when we checked in we were asked to try the bed and go back to them if not comfortable enough - not many hotels provide that service!

This is an adults only hotel close to the beach with three nice pools 4 if you include the one in the spa (try the the spa at least once). The staff make the hotel they are friendly and helpful and nothing is to much bother a special thank you to the pool bar staff and those that served us in the restaurant even though we were late in some times you did not mind. The hotel has a great low key entertainment schedule its not rammed down your throat like some hotels but there if you want it. Try Aqua aerobics, cocktail making and don't miss the hour Spanish class starter course fantastico thanks Nev. My wife tried the silk painting which she found relaxing with a excellent instructor. We booked for a week but on the 6th day we moved our flights and stayed for another 5 nights (need I say more). We had a small problem with our new room but the management team and reception sorted it out quickly and all was well. Another plus is the food if you can't find something you like to eat you must just live on water, reasonable drink prices and food in the pool and main bars. Hasta la vista

Room Tip: Great rooms rooms not around the pool are a little quieter just.

My girlfriend and I stayed for a week at this hotel at the end of July 2014. First impressions were that the hotel was very clean and calm and the staff were helpful. We requested a double bed but once we arrived in our room we found that we had two singles. We requested a move to another room but unfortunately the hotel was full so they offered to make our two singles up as a double, which proved to be fine. The room was cleaned every day, regardless of the times we were in and out of it. There is also a fridge in the room which is very handy. The bathroom was big and clean, my only criticism being that the bath tub looked like it was a little worse for wear. The air conditioning in the room was perfect; quiet and effective.

The hotel food is pretty much what you'd expect from a buffet; breakfast is great with plenty of options, but dinner became very samey very quickly. With the great number of fantastic restaurants that are in the town, I would recommend just going for the breakfast option and venturing out at night.

The pool area was never too busy and finding a sun lounger was never an issue. The pool itself was lovely and clean. As it's an adult-only hotel, there's no issue of children playing and causing disturbance to the peace.
The location of the hotel is perfect, just 85m from the beach and the town a mere few minutes stroll away.

There is no free wifi in the rooms; you get 30 minutes free each day in the lobby and can pay to access the wifi in your room. The only way this can be an issue is if you plan to be on your phone all day, and if that is the case then maybe you shouldn't be paying for a nice holiday...

Overall, we had a lovely stay in this hotel and I would have no problem returning there in the future.

The hotel definitely exceeded expectations. It's one of those hotels where when your airport transfer bus stops outside you are proud to be dropped off there.. Recognise that feeling?

The room was exceptionally clean and spacious, and was maintained to a high standard by the cleaning staff. The rest of the hotel was equally immaculate and the staff friendly.

We chose to stay half board- there was a large selection on offer at breakfast, and the dinners were of good quality, but had little variation from day to day. Although the dinner option was convenient some nights, there are some excellent restaurants in town - next time I would probably choose the B&B option.

There are 2 good size swimming pools within the walls of the hotel, and although there were inevitably guests who reserved their loungers early each day there were always some free. I also had the pleasure of an incredible relaxing massage in the spa - the spa staff are proficient and professional - highly recommended!

The hotel is largely empty after 9pm as most guests return to their rooms or head out into the town, and the free wifi is limited to 30minutes each day in the lobby - but it is not a fast connection! Situated just 85 meters from the beach and 10 minutes walk through town to the harbour it is perfectly placed to experience all that Corralejo has to offer.

Stayed for 7 nights beginning of July 2014. The hotel is spotless and every area from the public toilets to the pool area were kept immaculate. On arrival we were upgraded to a Wellness Room which was a lovely surprise. The beds are huge and one of the comfiest I have ever slept on, the rooms are spacious and the bathrooms modern and very clean, the wardrobes are very roomy and there is enough space and coat hangers to hang all clothes which you don't get very often! The restaurant is smaller than we expected but there is an additional outdoor area which we used most nights. The staff in the restaurant are extremely friendly and work very hard to keep tables cleared and reset for all guests. The food is of a good standard, but the breakfasts are fantastic, there is everything you could think of from cereals and fruit, to eggs, bacon, good sausage, good quality beans! And even champagne! All the staff in all areas of the hotel are very friendly and go out of their way to ensure you have a great stay. The best thing about this hotel is it is adults only so there is a very relaxed atmosphere, however, it is a little too relaxed in the evenings and I think most people tend to got to bed after their evening meal as it becomes a ghost town after about 10pm. That's when we headed out but we must admit we were a little disappointed with Corralejo, 7by midnight most nights the streets were empty so no late nights here then! All in all a very relaxing holiday and we highly recommend the Barceló Corralejo Bay for a great holiday.

My wife and I stayed at this hotel on the last two weeks of July. We were looking forward to our stay after reading all the excellent reviews, and we were not disappointed. Before our arrival I had e-mailed requesting a top floor room, on arrival we were given room 3127 (top floor) our view was to the side of the hotel, not great, however we had the sun on our balcony all afternoon to last thing at night, this made up for the view. The room was very large and was kept very clean throughout our stay, no complaints. The pool area was again spotless and very quiet, no children, plenty of beds at any time of the day. This did not stop the usual I must get my sunbed group waiting for the pool to open at 9am (sad people). The restaurant was again spotless with an outside area which we used every breakfast and dinner. Food was always plentiful, however it was bland perhaps a curry or sweet and sour one night a week would help. The hotel has the beech 2min walk to the right and a 5min walk from the left took you to the main street where there are plenty of good bars and restaurants. This was our first time in Fuerteventura and it will not be our last.

We arranged a room upgrade to include a Jacuzzi and were very glad we did. The Jacuzzi was located outside the room on a large shared balcony and was surrounded by a few others but these were seldom used. There was also a four-poster "Balinese" bed next to the hot tub and this was great for relaxing well into the evening.

Free Wi-Fi and two day-passes to the wellness suite were included with the room. The Wi-Fi only supported one device at a time, but the wellness centre was well worth a visit. We saved one pass for the last day and used it to avoid a 35 euro late checkout charge.

The hotel is fairly large, but immaculately kept. The public areas, rooms and gardens are very well maintained and frequently cleaned. There were plenty of sunbeds and lots of shade, however the three outdoor pools were noticeably colder than usual - good for a brisk swim, but not for lazing around in.

We stayed half-board for one week and the buffet food offering was always fresh and very tasty. Evening meals were varied with two chefs working flat out at hot plates, cooking up a variety of fish and meats to compliment the huge variety of hot and cold foods available. Breakfasts are served from 7.30 til 10.30 and evening meals from 7pm til 10, which was a real bonus.

Bar prices were reasonable and the staff throughout the hotel were very friendly at all times.

Coach transfers from the airport were around 40 minutes, including a drive through the spectacular sand dunes that border the south of Corralejo. The town itself was quite busy on the "main strip", a couple of minutes walk away, as was the nearest beach. However, if you take a stroll along the strip, down to the sea front, there were plenty of chilled-out bars (e.g. Bugaloo), with a mixture of younger and older clientele.

If you want a really well presented hotel, for a relaxing holiday then I would highly recommend the Barceló.

Room Tip: Upgrade to a room with Jacuzzi if you can afford it. It's worth every penny
