We have just returned from one week at this fantastic hotel. The staff are exceptional. Nothing to much trouble. We are in the hospitality business and our expectations were high, we were not disappointed. Everywhere is spotlessly clean. Adults only is good - we went in need of a rest and found the hotel, in the main, very peaceful. The pool area is spot on. As said before in other reviews the hotel is situated very handy for the beach and local shops and restaurants, having said that the food at the hotel is very good. Now we have found this hotel it is going to be the bolt hole we head to when we need to recharge - can't wait!!

Don't go here unless you are well above 65 and like:
* getting rooms that are not even close to the pictures online. what you will get is far more torn rooms and hotel management blaming the "clients" for the rooms not being up to scratch.
* an inexperienced staff that will send you confused emails contradicting each other or even quoting wrong prices
* dirty bathrooms
* armed gards with nightsticks in the receptions making the asylum feeling complete

i would never recommend a friend to go here!

Just returned from a short break at the delightful Barceló Corralejo Bay Hotel. The staff were excellent, very pleasant and attentive at all times. We had a Junior Suite on the 3rd floor which was excellent, very spacious with a very comfortable bed. The food was varied and of a very high quality. The hotel is in a great position, very close to a lovely sandy beach and a 5 minute walk from the main area of Corralejo. All in all a very good taster break and we are certainly planning a return visit.

Had the most wonderful time last year, decided to book again.
The strength of this hotel is its staff. Attentive, knowledgeable and pleasant.
We loved it so much we are returning this year on 14 December to relive the experience.
Well done Barcelo, its not often I rebook hotels and at the same location - never.

Room Tip: all rooms are good.

Recently returned from 11 nights at Corralejo Bay. The first and only moan was the check-in. After arriving at 10.30 pm feeling quite tired we had to wait in a queue waiting for check-in and could hear the reception staff giving the same information to each party checking in. It would have been better to have gathered every one around and give them info at same time but this was only a small moan!! We were taken to our room (standard) by the porter. The dining room was opened for guests who had just arrived - there was just the salad that was left over from dinner but that was fine as it was late by the time we ate and it was good that we did not have to go into town to search for somewhere to eat. The room was spacious, good bathroom with bath, shower and two sinks. Some toiletries. Tea and coffee making facilities in the room ,fridge, spacious wardrobes, large balcony with chairs and a pull out line for drying clothes, towels etc. Beds (two almost doubles pushed together) VERY comfortable. Rooms cleaned every day and clean towels every day if required. We had room 3008 which was one of the best as we had sunshine for the whole day.
Meals were buffet for breakfast and dinner. Massive choice of food at both meals. You would be VERY fussy if you did not find something you liked every morning and evening. Note to hotel: free water at dinner time would have been appreciated. 2 euros for a small bottle of water is a bit pricey.Waiting staff polite and friendly but maybe a few more were needed.
Swimming pools and surrounding area kept extremely clean, everything, even the beds were hosed down every morning. If you want some entertainment at breakfast time look towards the pool area just before 9am. There are hoards of people waiting at the barrier waiting to rush in to reserve beds.It reminded us of the start of the Grand National!! At 9am they all swarm in laying towels, books and other belongings on to beds and tables to reserve them. Most of the people disappear after that and re-appear later in the day. We used to go out then go back to the pool about 3 - 4 pm and there were always beds and shades available.
Hotel close to beach (80m). Beach is sandy and when we were there not really that busy. Always able to get beds and shades. 9 euros for 2 beds and shade for the day. Snack bars on the beach.
Went to the dunes one day. Hotel lays on free bus. Overrated - just lots of sand and rough sea and red flag flying so too dangerous to swim. We were fed up after a couple of hours so got a taxi back rather than wait for the bus. Cost about 6 euros.
Take time to visit El Cotillo. Its lovely there. We went for the day and are thinking about going back there for a week!! Beach is sandy, huge and lots of little lagoons to swim and paddle in.
Entertainment at the hotel is ok. The Abba tribute was the best one we saw. The Elvis 'impersonator' didn't really sing many Elvis songs or sound like him!! But it is free entertainment!
Had a spa day for 15 euros each. Water circuit and private sun bathing area. Lovely, relaxing way to spend a day and worth the money.
Corralejo is a nice enough town. Lots of bars and restaurants and shops and the main street is only about a 2 minute walk from the hotel.
All in all a great holiday in a great hotel - would definitely go back.

We booked the suite delux as a 25th wedding anniversary present to each other. The room was all you would expect and more including two walk in wardrobes, tea & coffee facility's and a mini bar restocked every day included in the price. Champagne cake & strawberries waiting on arrival.
Huge living area and bedroom the same with a bed the size of a trampoline !, the bathroom was incredible with a shower the size of which I've never seen before.
Also included in the price was a Bali bed allocated to us for the 14 days in the VIP area above the poolbar, this includes a bottle of Mumm champagne daily and food brought to you four times a day
( too much !!) being all inclusive the staff came up during the day to ask if drinks were needed and were always happy to oblige .
Breakfast was as always full English or continental plus plenty of cereals and fruit. Lunch if you need it is available at the poolbar which is included in the all inclusive option. The evening meal was generally good with plenty of choice but we did go out to the local Indian restaurant The Jhaiphur which is located about 150 yards left out of the hotel which was excellent .
All in all this was the best holiday we've had the staff were always polite and very helpful,we will be back. Thank you Barcelo for a lovely holiday

Had a great, relaxing holiday 1/2 term week in October. We were celebrating our 25th anniversary and had a bottle of champagne waiting in our lovely room after a pleasant check in.We also had a room with a pool view as requested. All staff were very pleasant and caring and our superior room was very nice and kept spotless by staff. Food was good for all meals and was always hot & fresh although if there for 2weeks would have to dine out a couple of times just to have a change of scenery, most drinks included with all inclusive and for those that weren't there was a small surcharge,no real problem, location excellent in a quiet street with beach 2min walk and shops and bars 5min. The pool scene is very nice and we got sun beds every day,but if you left it till after dinner they were a bit scarce, but if you went to see the pool attendant he had plenty more in storage which I don't think people were aware off! Overall we went for a relax and that's exactly what we had including a great massage from the on site spa,not cheap but a proper setup so again no problem, would recommend & definitely return, thank you Barcelo'
