Just got back from 11 nights, All Inclusive stay, at this hotel. Overall a really good holiday. Rooms very good, not luxurious, but very comfortable. The beds were the most comfortable we have every slept in on holiday. We stayed in a standard room at the back of the hotel but were more than satisified. Hotel very clean, relaxed atmosphere, quiet, sometimes a bit too quiet for us. The entertainment was ok but always had to be finished by 10.30 pm and yes very much for the older clientelle, again ok though. If you find this hotel a bit too quiet then there are loads of bars and restaurants just a short walk away, we did have a couple of nights out while we were here which varied things a bit including going along on the Reps night, totally free just had to pay for a few drinks, really good fun. Most of the staff were friendly and helpful and the food in general was good and varied, lots of fresh cooking going on.

We really liked Coralejo itself, I would recommend that you explore a bit. We went on a couple of trips, one to Lanzarote and a cruise out on the Catalanza, totally recommend a few visits. Next time we will hire a car though as the Islands roads are really good, well signposted and not at all busy. We also went on one of the 'Blanket' tours. Really worth doing actually, just sit through the selling bit and then enjoy your trip, a really great way to see the Island and completely free. Norma the guide was absolutely hilarious, thank you to her for making this such fun. The sand dunes are also worth a visit, we walked, took about an hour, but the hotel does provide a free bus also.

My only problems with this hotel were there were not enough staff at dinner, we waited a long time every night to get drinks to our table, or in the Salon Adama Bar, again very long waits to get served, there just were not enough staff. Also we had to pay 3 Euros a day for the safe in our room. This seemed really petty to us, the hotel should really reveiw the necessity to charge for this when this is mostly free in other hotels we have stayed at. However none of these things spoilt our stay.

Overall I would definately recommend this hotel and would stay there again. Worthy of it's four stars but no more.

We travel to Corralejo annually and this is the first time we opted for hotel accommodation and it was well worth it. I'll try and make this review simple.

Good points:
FOOD was excellent. We went Half Board and were not disappointed! Lots of variety for every course.
RESORT is designed in a way that the pool area is sheltered from the wind so it was always hot.
BEACH is 2 mins walk away.
MAIN STREET with shops, bars and restaurants 5 mins walk away
ROOMS were clean and tidy. We didn't pay for a sea view and when we arrived we were pleased we didn't fork out the extra cash... the beach is so close and we walked down there every day.
ADULTS ONLY so it was really peaceful.
90% of STAFF were friendly. We came across one or two that weren't so warm.

The not-so-good Points:
EVENING ENTERTAINMENT was just awful. It seemed to cater for much older people. To give an example, ABBA was the most recent music which was sung/ played. It meant we went out every night to the many bars on the main street rather than staying at the hotel for drinks. The only saving grace was the Latin dance night (dancers are amazing) but the hotel is set up in such a way that the entertainment room (Salon Adama) is reminiscent of a circus layout which is intimidating and uncomfortable if you want to go and watch a show.
BAR was in the lobby which was really unwelcoming and cold. It felt exactly like a lobby, not a bar.
FREE TOILETRIES were poor in quality, but there are loads of places where you can buy your own nearby.
DRINKS PRICES as you would expect, the price of drinks at the hotel is pretty high. Go and drink in the many bars nearby.

Overall, our stay at this hotel was really great, and we will return. Shame about the poor entertainment... if it was better, we would have spent our money in the hotel rather than the nearby bars for post dinner drinks.

Room Tip: We didn't pay for a sea view because we didn't plan on spending much time in our room. We we...

Stayed at hotel for a chill out 2 week holiday with my wife. Location is excellent just 2 min walk to the beach and to the main strip with nice bars and shops (some better than others). We were attracted by the reviews and the fact that it is an adult only hotel. This has its pluses and minuses as you will see listed below.

The hotel is very clean and the staff very nice, we went half board which meant we had breakfast which contained a good choice and a chef making fresh eggs as you wanted. Dinner was also good with a wide choice and nice fresh salads.

We only used the hotel for entertainment twice as it was a slightly older clientele and most people didn’t participate. There are plenty bars just round the corner so no shortage of a cocktail or 3.

I had originally booked a standard room but as a treat for my wife I upgraded to a wellness room. We spent 2 nights in the room which was too warm despite the air con being on. We asked reception about changing rooms but the only availability was a wellness deluxe which was £150 more for the 12 nights we had left. The wellness deluxe had a lovely view of the pool and a big hot tub which we used a couple of times.

There are 3 pools at the hotel and a very nice pool area with a pool bar where you can get the usual snacks (I preferred going elsewhere).

Overall I rated the hotel as 4/5 because of the little extras you have to pay for and the fact that we booked in February and still ended up in a corner room with no air. You have to pay £30 for a safe and you only get 30 mins free wifi for the day. I spent about £1700 in total by the time I upgraded which is too expensive unless you are getting 5 star.

Pluses +

Very clean, nice pool area, lovely room (the wellness deluxe anyway), nice food, great location
Free passes for Spa which was lovely.

Minuses -

Expensive, had to pay for extras inc. safe and wifi
Not much atmosphere in hotel

In the end we actually complained to the manager about paying the extra for the room because we had already paid in excess of £1500 for the 2 weeks. She was very nice and told us she would give us a discount which amounted to 20% so £30 off the room. Made all the difference to our bank!!!!

Room Tip: Ask for a pool view!!!

Currently staying at this hotel. Booked a day at the spa today. Really noisy as they chose this morning to start drilling in the spa area - why not before or after it closes? To make matters worse,I have just discovered they allow smoking in this area so am sat next to someone puffing away. If you're really into a proper spa experience, don't come here, it's a waste of money.

Absolutely loved this hotel from start to finish! Food excellent and of good variety. Gym and spa beautiful and very functional. Our room was immaculate.....on our arrival (after I had emailed the hotel) we had asked for a pool facing afternoon sun room.....this is what we received along with a bottle of champagne and chocolate dipped strawberries and two letters welcoming us to the hotel and wishing us a very happy anniversary :) .....a perfect start :) we also enjoyed the special served evening meal with a fabulous saxophonist playing for us while we ate. The service and staff were all amazing and my husband and I will be returning :) thank you Barcelo Corralejo Bay!!!!

Just back from 1 weeks holiday at this hotel. We have stayed in this Hotel many times before and I must admit each time we return you can see the positive changes made by the Barceló Group.

Hard working and pleasant staff made this holiday extremely enjoyable and my only regret is that we could only manage 1 week this time!

Hope to return soon
