enjoyed our stay, we were look after very well, would recommend to get a room facing the pool rather then the with the sea view, as they are facing the road too.
Latin dance classes by Ivan were simply brilliant!

What a fantastic hotel, had a great holiday. Have no complaints at all, and we will go back anytime.
Thanks to all the staff for making us so welcome.
Thanks Trip advisor for the reports on this hotel, its is helpful.
We stayed there for a week 12.12.12, and had a great room overlooking the pool and had sun on the balcony all afternoon.
Drinks served are all top brands, not just local brands, meals provided are of good quality and a good selection, something for everyone.
This is a adults only hotel and this was a nice change change for us, so peaceful.
Saving up to go back.

Room Tip: Had a basic room on the top floor overlooking the pool, had sun in the afternoon, room 3025

We stayed at the Barcelo from December 9th to 16th. We stayed at this hotel twice in 2011 but this is our first visit since it became an adults only hotel. On this occasion our adult sons, who are in their twenties, also came along for some winter sun.
We booked our flights and hotel separately via Ryanair and Barcelo.com. The flight was on time and fine. As there were four of us travelling together we booked a private transfer via Resort Hoppa. We have previously used them and have also used the local bus service from the airport when there were only two of us travelling. All these options are good- the local bus is very cheap but on this occasion we wanted to save time and for ease of transfer the private transfer was so quick. We were on the 6.10 flight from Stansted and were at hotel by 11.30. I also managed to get ten per cent discount on Resort Hoppa as there was a code available at the time on Voucher.co.uk. For 52 pounds return it was excellent value.
The hotel itself was still really good. We made a request for specific rooms which we got. The rooms have been refurbished- good balcony furniture, double sinks, tea and coffee making facilities, flat screen Tv etc- the only English Channel is Sky News though- it would be great if an additional couple of channels were available. The standard of cleanliness was excellent. We also found the beds so comfortable.
The general ambience of the hotel is very relaxing though our sons would have been delighted if there had been more younger people staying there- there were more older people staying than on our previous visits. Many people are returning guests.
Many thanks for the Cava that was left in our room as returning guests! It was greatly appreciated.
The Gym was good but we didn't use the Spa. We went out of the hotel for our entertainment, visiting many of the loval venues for live music eg Robins Nest, Rock Cafes etc. We previously enjoyed Castaways in the harbour but the previous owners have now moved to The Piano Bar. Next door to where Castaways was there is a new bar- called something like Barana Bar-it is on an Upper floor and initially I didn't notice it. At night younger surfing types use it but in the daytime it is lovely to sit there with a beer or coffee- for one and a half euros for a large beer or coffee it is excellent value- it also has a glass screen around so you can enjoy the view and be protected even on a windy day. We had wonderful weather when we were there! 31 degrees one day which we didn't expect in December.
The food at The Barcelo is plentiful. We really enjoyed breakfast though sometimes we found the main meal choice in the evening, not as good as on previous visits. The salads are good though the food is the area though that I think could possibly be improved upon. We stayed last December in Gran Canaria at a Riu hotel and also a Princess hotel (both also 4 stars) and I actually prefered the food in those hotels - though overall the Barcelo Corralejo Bay is still my favourite.
Incidentally, we thoroughly enjoyed the jazz night at the Pool Bar. There is a set 6 course meal on a Wednesday night ( you need to book early) and there is no additional charge. The food is beautifully cooked and presented, waiter service etc. We thoroughly enjoyed it.
The beaches are wonderful. One day we walked both ways to the Dunes ie by the Riu Oliva hotel. It is a fair walk though and the next time we used the free courtesy bus. There is also a nudist beach to the left of the Riu hotels.
Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our holiday. The staff are excellent. They work so hard- there certainly appeared to be less waiters in the dining room than previously- but everyone is just so pleasant and nothing is too much trouble. Our thanks to you all.

We stayed here in December 2012. We booked direct and were given a super room by the very helpful Ricky- corner with sea views and a huge wrap around balcony. Location excellent - 2 minutes from the beach and 5 minutes stroll from the bars and restaurants. Food was fine with plenty of options. Some nights very good but all ok. Breakfast - a wide range of choices. Plenty of sun loungers, a good book exchange, half an hours free wifi. Entertainment so-so but that didn't matter as you onl have a short stroll if ou fancy something livelier. Good service, very courteous and helpful. We took the hotel transfer which we thought was a really good option, would recfommend this hotel.

Room Tip: Go for a corner sea view room if you want a panoramic view. I think all rooms are quiet.

This is my second visit to Corralejo and by far the best, the Barcelo bay hotel is ideally located for shops, bars, restaurants. The beach is no more than 5 mins walk and is beautiful and sandy. I stayed half board and found the food at breakfast and evening meal to be of a good standard, lets put it like this, I don`t eat red meat and I found there was always something to choose from the buffet. The only thing I was dissapointed in was being charged 2 euros for water at your table with your main meal. The staff are polite and very happy to help you with any concerns. The maids cleaned your rooms every day.The rooms were spacious and clean, with a fridge and air con, balcony had a table and chairs. The entertainment at the hotel was not to my liking but having said that there was more than enough entertainment in corralejo town which was no more than a couple of minutes walk, there were plenty of live entertainment venues along the main street , Corner Rock bar was very good , as was Rock Cafe. If your into modern dance music and Karaoke then Flicks in Atlantico Square would be your best place to go, the team there were friendly and always made sure you joined in with the fun, big shout out for Rob, Steve, Kaz,Scarlette, Brett, Becky. During the day there were many places to go to if you wanted to organize days out. This was a very chilled out holiday for me and enjoyed sitting at the waikiki bar on the beach and watching the day go by. The Barcelo Bay resort is an adults only hotel so was very relaxed and although I`m 50 I felt very young as at this time of year there seem to be a lot of pensioners staying, not to say there were a few young couples here. I would say that I really enjoyed my time at the Barcelo even though I travelled solo carrelejo is a safe place to go and very easy going and the people were always very friendly as was the guests and tourists. If you are staying half board and want to buy food or drink, then i would recommend the Spar which is by the shopping centre, turn left when you get to the main street walk about 200 yards and cross over the street, go down the escalator or steps. If you ever need medical or a doctor majority of the travel reps and local brits recommended Brissimar which is over the road when you get to the main street. I will be going back to this hotel the next time I go to corralejo as it is just so ideally placed.

First time in Fuerteventura and we thought this hotel was superb. Good location coupled with wonderful sunshine. Impressed on arrival with the general appearance and the spacious foyer. Easy check in and good sized room with a sea view of lanzarote. Not the Ritz but still a very nice room with a balcony with chairs and table taboot. The hotel interior is well laid out with trees and plants giving it almost an exotic feel and oh so relaxing. Buffet style restaurant with absolutely so much choice. We couldn't complain but suppose somebody will. The bar was nice and relaxing and entertainment was provided. The pool and gardens were superb with loads of loungers etc. The whole place was so clean and tidy and the our room was cleaned daily to a high standard. What's more it just off the main drag so to speak so you do not get noisy street crowds etc. As for Corralejo itself, well we loved it, lots of shops if you are in to that sort of thing. What you must do though is get down to the harbour area and visit one the many restaurants for a special meal or just a drink overlooking the sea. Didn't get to see the other end of Fuerteventura apart from the airport so cannot really comment on that. Booked a trip to lanzarote on the volcana tour and it was great. If that doesn't appeal why not just catch one the frequent ferries and pop over to lanzarote yourself. We thought our stay was great and have booked again for 2013. Can't wait!!

Room Tip: All rooms seem good but would suggest one with a sea view, then again as always it is down to person...
