“Stop being so fussy!”
Reviewed July 15, 2013

My boyfriend and I (22 and 23)are just back from 10days at this hotel and I must admit I was very nervous due to some people's crazy review.yes everyone is entitle to their own opinion but come on its a 3 star all inclusive hotel! The rooms were massive and cleaned regularly. Pool area is spacious and even though people do put towels out at stupid o clock we never struggled to get a sun bed even in late afternoon. Location is fantastic and the strip has lots of bars and lovely places to eat nothing during the day and at night.
Having said that we only ate out twice(through choice) as the food service was one of the best I have had on an all inclusive holiday. Lovely salads and lots of hot dishes including pasta. I myself am a fussy eater and out of the 10 nights I only struggled one night but still managed to be fed!
Entertainment team were fab and went out of their way to make your holiday memorable! They did not pester you to take part in activities which we loved and felt we took part more often as there was no pressure.
Oasis animal park is a must. It's a brilliant day out for all the family and very well priced!
All in all we had a brilliant holiday and please do not listen to the negative reviews and make the most of your holidays as we certainly did!!

Got home this Wednesday after an 11 night stay with my wife, son (22) and daughter (16). On previous all-inclusive holidays we have found 14 nights to become a bit "samey" so opted for a slightly shorter stay - now wishing we were still there until the end of the week!

ACCOMODATION; Probably about due for refurbishment, no air con, fans are available to hire (we bought 2 cheap fans from ebay for £6 each and left them there - but Fuerteventura doesn't ever get too hot at night in our experience due to the breeze. The furniture was slightly shabby and well worn, mattresses could have been comfier. We had a poolside ground floor room, well located for facilities. Very spacious rooms, more like a medium sized one bedroom apartment, with a good sized bathroom (nice powerful shower and plenty of hot water). The room was clean and tidy, cleaned virtually every day - the only "gripe" being a musty smell in the bedroom, possibly the curtains nedded cleaning? The safe (cost us €16 for 10 days) was huge!

HOTEL IN GENERAL; Very clean, possibly a bit dated but well laid out, "proper" deep swimming pools (salt water - lots of kids were wearing goggles). Didn't see any real evidence of loose tiles, sunbeds were a bit "tired", and despite requests not to, most sunbeds had towels on by 08.00! (And you can't blame the Germans - the clientele were 99.5% British!!). Staff were very helpful and friendly. A really nice gesture was the sandwiches and biscuits waiting for us as we arrived after the dining room had closed.

FOOD AND DRINK; Decent quality, always hot and fresh, great selection of salads at lunch and dinner. plenty of theme nights to add variety. I did think there was a lack of choice at certain times, but never left the dining room hungry! I would recommend the twice weekly barbecues at the pool bar, but you need to book at reception beforehand. A small moan was that you couldn't get coffee in the dining room after lunch, it was only available from the pool bar.
Bar staff were great, very helpful, nice guys, understaffed at times, particularly in the main bar in the evenings - I have been all inclusive before where soft drinks and beer are self-serve which helps to keep queues down. The main bar is only open in the evenings, the pool bar only open during the day except on barbecue nights until 8 pm. There is beer, wine and soft drinks available in the Dining room at lunch and dinner. Note to parents of young children - if your kids are too little to help themselves to food and drink at home, the same probably applies on holiday! (This also includes the communal toilets).

ENTERTAINMENT; This is the 1st time I have known a holiday company (Thomas Cook) provide the entertainment rather than the hotel. 100% British orientated, with the 4 hardest working and enthusiastic youngsters you could ever meet! Activities all day, plus entertainment all evening, mainly provided by the team with 1 professional act each week. Beware of Mollie's volleyball serve (my finger's better now babes!!).

In summary - not the plushest of places, not ideal for a quiet week away from it all, but we had great time for less than £500 each for basically 4 adults for 11 nights in July :)

Room Tip: Poolside much closer to all ameneties, but noisy in the day if you want some quiet time.

Amazing place, clean, friendly and had no complaints during our 2 week stay... rooms cleaned plenty and towels change regularly during our stay. Hotel staff honest, friendly and very helpful, food was lovely and always plenty of a selection (Desserts were amazing). Pool was cold but soon warmed up during the day and with the sun at 45-50 degrees the pool soon cooled you down. location was excellent just a walk away from the main strip and local to the beaches (Make sure you get a taxi to Flag beach between the hotels 6 Euros) I saved the best for last - The Entertainment team were absolutely amazing Molly, Danny, Pete, Malc, Natalie and Siobhan were on the go from 8am till late we all joined in with waterpolo, football, quiz's and also the evening entertainment. Always smiling and go out of the way to help you - they are a credit to the complex and also Thomas Cook... Already looking to book for 2014!

Room Tip: Room 2102 overlooks the pool with nice balcony.

Just back from a two week holiday at this hotel. There was a group of 8 of us, 2 adults age 60ish, 4 adults from age 29-37 and a 3 year old and a 10month old.

Apartments - Very spacey and clean. Although bed for our 3 year old was in lounge area next to front doors, didn't like that so brought it into our room, bit snug with 3 beds and a cot but that's understandable.

Cleaning staff were honest and excellent - room cleaned every day, towels and sheets replaced(fitted sheets aren't fantastic but not worth complaining about). We left smart phones, cameras even cash lying about and never once was anything touched(you can rent the safe if your worried).

Maintenance staff - Gardeners can always be spotted watering, preening and pruning and what a great job they do too. The hedges and garden areas are lovely. Pool gets a thorough cleaning too.

Waiting staff - Excellent, quick, friendly and efficient
Reception staff - As above, women were very knowledgeable and helpful. Reported broken bed(I sat on it and the slats came out) and within the hour it had been fixed.

Entertainment Staff - Very friendly and work very hard. Very approachable. Never had much dealing with them TBH

Hotel restaurant, now I cant believe the people who say the food was garbage or there was nothing for them. There's always a great range of food especially at dinner. Ok maybe lunch was a bit drab somedays but there is always FRESH salad and FRESH bread rolls and maybe eating healthy for a couple of lunch times would be good. Honestly can say there was something for me every meal for every day for the fortnight.

Pool - small baby/tots pool. Large pool, smaller pool. 3 pools - top and baby bombarded with music all day, entertainment team based up here doing games and activities all day. If not your thing then sit down at the smaller pool(not that small just smaller than the big one), relatively quite down there.

Entertainment - Kids club on most days 3 times a day, took our 3 year old once and he didn't like it cause there was 2 many kids and he just got a bit overwhelmed, no biggy.
Every night 8pm - 9pm is kids hour, dancing and games. Next up pop quiz, then bingo. And at 10pm ish the main event which was some naff adult quiz type thing or occasionally an actual show like dancers or something. TBH I did think the entertainment was a bit naff but I had the two tots so was always in my bed by 10pm so who knows, may have been excellent.

Think I've covered the hotel, I wont review the area just hotel.

All in all I had a great time honestly cant complain about the hotel at all, go, have a great time!

Room Tip: Block B room 120 look out for the nightly visitor around 1am, Mr, or Mrs Hedgehog, too cute.

All that people have wrote about this hotel I think are fair if you remember you are paying and staying at a 3 star resort. Travelled in party of 49, 47, 18, and 16 year old
The negatives first I only have 1.
Air con in the rooms would really help just got back on 3rd July 2013 and it was hot , come August I think the rooms maybe a little stuffy.
Now the positives
Food
There is always something to take your fancy at meal time
Location
10 mins stroll into main shopping area and 15 mins to beach
Staff
The hotel staff are friendly and helpful
Now the jewel of the hotel
The entertainment team
Peter,Molly,Natalie and Danny were just amazing. From 10 in the morning playing games of all different types around pool though too the evening shows which finished around 11 p.m they did everything with a smile and made the holidays of both young and old alike.
Not to pushy but always trying to involve everyone, they work so hard.
My family will be back if only to see the entertainment team again

Ps
Don't miss Wok buffet in main strip
The best all you can eat Chinese buffet I have ever had

For a great night out MHT
little nervous going to see a drag show but it was a laugh the whole night with a good meal and drinks
Great humour and they can all song everyone in the venue standing to cheer at the end

Arrived at Oasis Village on 22nd June with my Wife and 2 kids (aged 4 & 9) for a seven night all inclusive stay. Travelled from Glasgow which was around a 4 hrs 15 min flight with a 30 minute transfer.

Room : Stayed in a first floor room with a pool view which was requested when booking the holiday. I would definitely recommend asking for this when booking which ensures that you have full use of an enclosed balcony. The room was large and very clean with excellent facilities (fridge, great bathroom and beds were fine).

Food : Breakfast served 7am-10am // Lunch 1pm-4pm // Dinner 6pm-9pm

Breakfast - good selection of your standard breakfast foods such as bacon, eggs (fried, scrambled or boiled),sausages, beans, hashbrowns, pancakes, fresh bread etc.....

Lunch - you can either have your lunch from the restaurant area or the pool bar or both if you want. I personally had my lunch at the pool bar each day so i could sit out in the sun. The pool bar had a selection of Pizza, Hot dogs, chicken nuggets, Hamburgers, chips which was alternated daily. My wife told me that you could have had more or less the same in the restaurant area with a few more selections like sandwiches and salad bar. Ice cream was available in vanilla, strawberry and chocolate.

Dinner - I am quiet a fussy eater but i always found food to eat ,my wife and kids on the other hand where able to stuff their faces. There is a kids section also where again you can have chicken nuggets, chips, hotdogs or hamburgers along with a few other things.

Drinks - beer was my drink of choice and was fine to drink all day long. plenty of other drinks on offer from soft drinks and kids cocktails to adult cocktails, sangria and spirits.

Facilities and Pool area : there are 3 saltwater pools (1 baby pool and 2 larger pools) which were very clean along with the sunloungers and surrounding areas. Toilets are very well kept and the pool bar is a good area to catch some shade and chill out with a few drinks. Music plaed throughout the day which was a mix of current and older chart music.

Entertainment/ kids clubs : I found the entertainment team to be good. Enthusiastic as you would expect and never pestered anyone to take part in activities during the day. Night time shows were fine and each night there was bingo and name that tune quiz also. The kids really enjoyed the kids disco and games. There was various kids clubs throughout the day along with a couple of parties over the course of the week which you had to pay 10 euros for if they wanted to go.

Location : 10 minute walk from the water park and main strip which had plenty of shops and bars with various entertainment.15 minute walk to the beach which was really nice also.

on the whole this was a great holiday and wish we could have stayed for longer. I think it caters more for families with young kids up to the age of around 13, not much to do for kids older than that to be honest. Great value for money and have no complaints whatsoever. anyone who is complaining about this place has set their expectations far too high and have come wanting some 5 star service. I would highly recommend Oasis village to anyone who has kids and want to relax. Just be careful of the breezy weather as you don't realise that you are being burned to a crisp.

Room Tip: stayed in room number 2107 which was a large, clean, first floor room which overlooks the pool. Def...
