On arrival, the hotel looked very pleasant, the staff were helpful and friendly and the facilities looked great. When we (three adults) got to our room, there was a double bed and then a small single bed, which was obviously for children, despite them knowing we had booked for three adults. The third adult then slept on the sofa. As we went all inclusive, the timings of food were very good, however, the food itself was hit and miss. It was often plain and the desserts were very much below satisfactory. Although there was always something there to fill a gap. The entertainment went on throughout the day, it was mostly for children. The night entertainment was not much and we found ourselves leaving the hotel at night to go elsewhere. Overall, the hotel was nice but I would not recommend it to those who are looking for a relaxing, quiet break away.

Room Tip: Make sure you have two double rooms if there are three adults travelling as the third bed is simply...

We spent a week here in April with 2 children aged 1 and 5, having read some of the reviews before we went we were a little concerned about what to expect. When we arrived we were sent straight down to the dining room to eat before checking in, staff were all very polite and helpful, the food was ok nowhere near as bad as we had expected from some of the reviews, lovely complex, entertainment was good considering it was out of season and the pools are just fabulous. We had a fabulous week plenty of shops around the area and a short stroll to the beautiful harbour. They say you get what you pay for I was certainly very happy with the holiday for the price we paid and would say its a very good 3 star complex, obviously if you want 5 star then you need to pay for it !!!!!

When we book a holiday we have a limited choice, as a lot of hotels are not wheelchair friendly. After reading mixed reviews on here, we went for the oasis village.I am very glad we did. My only criticism was that on arrival there was only one person on reception and it took awhile to check in.

Our room (2115) was one of the adapted rooms with excellent facilities for our daughter. The bathroom had a spacious shower with adjustable seating. Also an adapted toilet with support bars.

The bedroom was spacious with good wardrobe space. The living room was a good size with plenty of seating. If you like your TV you will have to hire a remote control from recption. We never bothered as we didn't plan to spend too long in the room. The balcony was the largest i have ever had on a holiday and was ideal for my daughters wheelchair.

The food for all meals was of a good quality and there was plenty of it to go around. Although as it got busier towards the end of our second week, you sometime had to wait a while for certain things. At breakfast they alternated from sausage one morning to bacon the next but never both on the same day. But there is plenty of other things to fill your plate.

At lunch we always opted for the restaurant, although you could also eat at the snack bar if you wanted.

Evening meal was again in the resturant and also plentyful. There were chinese, mexican and indian themed nights on our vist, and i must say the food on these nights was excellent. For all meals you could help yourselfs to drinks, breakfast to tea, coffee and juices. For lunch and evening meals it was soft drinks, beer and wine.

The all inclusive bar service was excellent and you never had to wait a long time for drinks. But keep your glass if you dont want to be drinking out of plastic cups.

I found the hotel staff very friendly and helpful and had no issue with any of the service received in the bar or restaurant. There was lovely chef that came and spoke to us afew times and even made us a cake on night. Great service all round.

The hotel has a kids club and an extensive entertainent program. We were a little worried about sending our daughter to the kids club, as we were unsure on how she would be able to participate in the activities, due to her restricted movement. These worries were totally unfounded. The way that Tracy, Deanna,Rachel,Steve, Sarah and Zoe looked after her was fantastic. She was included in everyhing and never left out. She went to as many sessions as sh could because she enjoyed it so much. If you read this guys, thanks a million you made Faye's holiday.

My daughter has a real fear for people dressed in costumes, to the the point she will scream and you have to take her out of the room. So on our first night to see Dizzy the dolphin and Shades the shark was traumatic experience to say the least. The staff picked up on this straight away and whenever they were to come out they came and warned us. ( its the small things that make a difference). The team spent alot of time with Faye bringing on her confidence towards Dizzy and Shades and by the end of the holiday she was dancing on stage in front of them. Thank you to the kids club and entertainment team for that.

Following on from that i must alo give a massive thumbs up the the entertainment team. Pete, Natalie,Mollie,Danny and Malky. These people are always doing something and always on the go, but always he time for a chat and to see if there is anything they can do for you. They worked very well with the kids club team. They would always ask if you wanted to participate in various activities but were never pushy. I must say the shows they put on were very good and really entertaining.

In summary this was the ideal place for a lively family holiday. The facilities are great for wheelchairs and there are no issues with access. I would definatly stay here again and will probably do so in the future. I have always thought it was the hotel that made a holiday and to a certain extent that is true but people can also make a difference, a big difference.

Room Tip: If you need an adapted room book in advance.

We travelled with Thomas Cook in April to the Oasis Village for a cheap week away in the sun. The hotel is located a little further out of Corralejo, with a good 30 minutes walk into the harbour. The rooms are large and reasonably clean, from memory the room was cleaned 4 times out of the 7 days we stayed with towels being changed twice. The rooms was large, with a good sized bathroom. There is no air conditioning which in one of the draw backs, yes the hotel is 3* but a little investment could be made here (and charged directly to the guests), I imagine the height of summer the rooms would get pretty uncomfortable with the heat. The beds were pretty uncomfortable, but nowhere near as uncomfortable as the living areas furniture. There is a small fridge in the room, but doesn't really keep things that cold.

The hotel is next door to a large water park, which we didn't visit, but from the outside looking in looked impressive, and weirdly very quiet.

The hotel food had plenty of choice (including for vegetarians), with a well stocked salad & dessert bar. Main courses could be on the bland side. The one problem I did have with it being buffet style restaurant was that other guests would stick their hands in the food (and poke it) instead of using spoons etc provided. One example was when the Paella was the main course and another guest was picking out the mussels, no wonder people get ill on holiday. Drinks wise you could help yourself to soft drinks, beer and wine from the taps and machines.

The beer was fine, I think it was the local beer 'tropical'. But they are served in very small plastic cups, which is around a qtr of a pint. So it's a bit of a pain if you want to have more than one drink. I ended up buying beer from the well stocked supermarket across the road and keeping it in the fridge (which kept it lukewarm).

As we were on holiday with our 3 month old daughter we didn't use the pool area, but when sitting on our balcony you could hear the PA system from a fair distance back. So I assume it must have been very loud around the pool, which wouldn't be what I'd be looking for if I was around poolside.

We hired a fan from reception for our room which kept it a little cooler and also paid for the television. This was the first time I have had to pay for the TV, usually you get at least BBC world for free.

All the hotel staff were helpful and polite, again we didn't use the entertainment (not our thing) but others seem to think they were very good.

Corralejo itself was quiet, perhaps down to the time of year we visited or due to the fact a lot of hotels are now 'all inclusive' with guests preferring to stay in, which is a shame as there were some really nice bars and restaurants. The shopping centre across the road had nightly entertainment too.

Overall it was a good holiday for what was paid, the hotel was clean, plenty of food choice & location was good if you like a walk. Pehaps the hotel could invest in larger plastic cups and some Air con tho if I was to make a return visit.

This was our second visit to the Oasis Village (without kids this time) and once again had a great time. As mentioned many times this is a 3* complex, so if you want aircon etc this is not the place for you. The rooms are quite large and serve their purpose. The beds are not great but hey it's just somewhere to lay your head. The entertainments team did the best they could, although could be a bit loud around the pool. Maybe they should do sound checks first. The food was a bit hit and miss in my eyes, some good days some bad, but food is pretty cheap at many of the bars and Hyper Dino Supermarket just outside the hotel. Would advise you get a Hire Car around 30 Euros a day so you can get to the lovely beaches near the dunes. Be careful with going over your baggage allowance coming back as they are very strict. One couple were 7kg over and were charged 126 euros, you have been warned!!!

Room Tip: We were located in D so shade from sun.

The hotel is 5mins by taxi/ or 30 mins walk from the best beach I've ever seen - DUNAS! Large rooms, big sweeming pool, green territory where 4 blocks are located. The meals are diversed, vegetariane food is available. There is a supermarket located nearby the hotel. The only thing i didn't like is poor room clearning - it might be much more better. But still i believe this is good place to stay during 1st fuerte visit.

Room Tip: If traveling with children it makes sense to choose ground floor room.

We have just returned from the oasis village and what an excellent time we have had. The hotel and pool are lovely but what made our holiday was the entertainment team Pete, Mollie, Natalie, Danny and Malky. They are all 5* and were excellent at getting people involved in daytime activities and were fantastic in the evening shows, also along with all of the kids club reps Tracey, Sarah, Rachel, Deena and Steve our children had ther best holiday to date. The hotel is 3* and that is reflected in the quality of the food, however we found some great places to eat including english bar penny lane and an italian la casita. The oasis village is also situated very close to the main strip, beautiful beaches and harbour we would most definatly return.
