“Excellent first trip abroad for our little ones”
Reviewed March 24, 2011

We spent 2 weeks here, and loved it. The staff were all really helpful and friendly. We had a slight problem with the fridge in our room leaking, and it was sorted within half an hour. The complex looked lovely-loads of well maintained garden areas, and hedges full of hibiscus flowers along the patios. The room was more than adequate-having a kettle and fridge was brilliant for us as we had a five month old baby with us. It was cleaned regularly and to a good standard, with plenty of clean towels. We made occasional use of the tv in the room as the weather was a bit iffy for a few days, though the excellent entertainment team and rep worked hard to amuse everyone! Our 2 year old absolutely loved the kids disco, and the team were great at keeping even the littlest kids involved, esp Sammi. We've been home nearly a week and she's still singing Cartoon Heroes!
The food was pretty good, always plenty of choice, some options better than others but that's to be expected. I was a bit concerned I'd struggle being vegetarian but I was really well catered for. The themed nights were the best, especially Mexican night.
Corralejo itself was lovely-loads of shopping, "proper" shops too, not just the usual tourist tat shops. The hotel is right next to a lovely little shopping centre, El Campanario, and the Baku market is just up the road on a Monday and Friday. I liked that there were different stalls in the hotel in the evenings too. We ventured out and about on the local buses which were cheap and efficient.
There was a lovely little playground and miniclub building with colouring, face-painting etc, and the lovely lady who worked there was very good at making sandcastles with our daughter! My only complaint was that the pool was freezing, even the alleged heated one! Fortunately our 2 year old can swim well enough to go in without us as it didn't seem to bother her until we eventually persuaded her to get out when her lips had turned blue!
The zoo was another great day out, free bus from outside the hotel which was really convenient, and comfortable.
Even the airport coming home surpassed our expectations. We waited an age to check in, but security checks were super organised, and we could have spent ages looking at the shops and playing in the kids play area, but we boarded and took off 20 mins early so we were a bit rushed!!!
Fab holiday, can't recommend it enough!

Just returned from a week stay here and we were very pleased with what we got for our money. We would have paid more for self catering so getting AI was a bonus. OK the food is not 5* but what we got was good honest grub, decent choice most of the time, nobody would starve. Everywhere was very clean, furnishings have seen better days but we stayed 5* in Egypt and theirs was the same. Rooms are massive, fridge and kettle was a bonus in the room. We took coffee sachets and milk from the restaurant to make drinks in the room. Needed too as the weather was a bit chilly, and we had rain. All hotel staff were brilliant, very friendly, especially Alma on the bar in the afternoons, she is ace. Entertainment team work their socks off and earn every penny, they really seem to enjoy their job too. Made some really nice new friends too, extra bonus ! The hotel also has cats, they are lovely and do not bother people, it is a nice touch, we got to know Felix the black and white one, TC the tabby and white one and Orang'e the very plump ginger moggy who never leaves the cat caf'e. We fed them cat treats from the supermarket as we love cats, but if you don't like them they should not be a problem, they are easily avoided. First time to Fuerteventura so didn't know what to expect, Corralejo is a lovely resort, lots to do, nice bars and shop till you drop if you want too. Will go again but different time of year maybe, like my hols a bit warmer.

Ive just got back from a weeks stay in the oasis village, and ive had a great time.
The hotel is not what i expected due to the reviews ive read....its alot better in fact.
More like a four star its sooo clean, theres always people tidying and cleaning, even someone mopping the floor outside. The food is lovely, its not to die for you get what you pay for, i really carnt cope with people moaning wanting 5 star.....dont book into a 3 then if your going to moan!!! they do so many choices and themed nights, i even went up for seconds and its great for kids.
The staff is so friendly! I even caught the bar staff dancing at the end of the night.
There is one person serving on the bar and the que gets quite big but there so quick at serving, you hardly wait long.
Entertainment was great rich claire and sammi was fantastic.
Great holiday, id go back to the hotel.

just returned from a 5 day break booked through a cheap agent so i was abit concerned even though most of the reviews were great. We have had a fantastic break in alovely hotel, the staff were polite and attentive, everywhere was immaculately clean, the food was lovely especially the breakfasts, the location was ideal for us, a 5 min stroll to start of shops and bars and a leisurely 30 min walk down to small harbour. it seem to be very much a family hotel the kids entertainment was great even though it was no longer school holidays, this didn't bother us as we do have children that weren't with us, but prob be over run with kids as season gets busier. i would def reccommend this hotel and will return at some point as a family group.

The Oasis Village Hotel was amazing. Food buffet had loads to choose from. Pool is massive. I'm a kid in a wheelchair so i would recommend this for disabled people (no offense) TC entertainers were amazing. AI program from 10.00-23.00 after that u have to buy drinks. NOTICE!!! the entertainers are adult entertainers not kids entertainers

all in all quite a amazing holiday (stayed for ten days)
