Apartamentos Maxorata Beach
Reviewed January 12, 2014

Had a brilliant week here at Maxorata.
arrived on the 20th dec 2013,about 20.00 we would have been earlier if it wasnt for the man that came on the bus without telling the driver,so he was standing outside waiting on him for half an hour!!
Anyway, dropped the bags off in the apartment which was easy to fine and went for some food as we hadnt eaten since 12.
We knew exactly where we were going to eat as this was our 3rd time in corralejo..we went to the angus steak house at the bottom of the strip, quite reasonably priced for 4 people.
The apartment had 3 bedrooms upstairs and bathroom with bath and shower, and downstairs another shower, toilet and kitchen with dining table and living room with t.v (get the remote for ten euros) which was worth it as it was xmas time and weather at home was terrible so it meant we could gloat at the rain and wind they had back in glasgow when we had 21' every day...lol
These apartments were cheaper than 2 beds in oasis dunas, which we were originally going to book, but with an 18 and 15 yr old it was better with a room each .the master bedroom had a lovely balconey, accessed via patio doors. We asked for a room that got sun during the late evening, which we got,it went away about 5ish,
the staff were very friendly, cleaners were brill,in most days and even made our beds, very trustworthy as we never used the safe and our stuff was still intact if we left it in aprtmnt.
The rooms are a bit echoey, you can hear the chairs scraping etc from adjoining buildings, but thats just a little thing that you can put up with
a holiday is what you make it,and we just wanted to relax, sunbathe and enjoy our family time together, and we certainly did that
would recommend the maxorata,i want to go back next xmas.,but my husband is getting a bit bored now as it has been 3 times there, and there are only so many time one can climb a volcano (he isnt one for sunbathing)
the shops are literally 5 mins away and there are lovely restraunts, which are all opened during the xmas period, even xmas day,so you dont need to worry about lugging the turkey in your case!
we even had a wee visit from one of the local cats, this for us wasnt a problem,as we are cat lovers and have our own..it even stayed the night in our beds, shhhh dont tell the staff!!lol,it was very clean and had its ear clipped, which i understand from last years holiday they do this to say the cat has been neutered.;-)
Lovely pool, very very cold, but it was december, but even then,it didnt stop them going in for a dip, food in pool bar was nice, only really had toasties and chips for lunches but it seemed busy all the time,we could also use the room at the back for our luggage when we were going home as we had to be out at 12 and werent being picked up til 3pm
I took a travel kettle as i saw from other reviews there was none, had to hire, but i wouldnt have minded boiling water in the pan anyway..there was a microwave and fridge with freezer, only thing we didnt have was a bottle opener but solved that from the lady at bar!
free wifi at pool area.
The beach is very close,if you go out the back gate which you get keys for as the reception closes early, but this wasnt a problem for us.
all in all its been the best holiday in corralejo yet due to the apartment being so good,(and cheap) highly recommend it. Not sure what it would be like in the summer as there is no air con,but defo for a winter holiday, its great.
Could maybe get a wee makeover as its a badly needed painted etc inside aptmnts ,but again, who goes on holiday to look at the walls.lol

Room Tip: the sun is out at the pool during day,and the rooms overlooking the pool had the sun,so if you prefe...

Just returned from a week in here, and have to say all things considered these apartments are above average, and GREAT for the price you pay. As other people have suggested the location is great, especially if you can come and go via the back gate as you are one street close to the strip and 5 min walk to Waikiki beach!

When we first arrived the apartment seemed very basic and we had been put at the back of the complex but had a balcony at least. This ended up being good as was so easy to access complex via back gate! The bedroom light fitting was broke and there were some rust marks on bath so we reported it to reception and with 1/2 hr guy had come to fix them all! Was impressed with how it was dealt with as it was recorded in a folder when we reported it.

Could not fault the cleanliness of the apartment. Kitchen was SPOTLESSLY clean and had an excellent range of cutlery and utensils, inc pots, bowls, jugs etc!along with coffee maker and microwave! There were a few marks on walls but after spending a week there I think these are evidence of Mosquitos biting the dust and didn't affect our comfort of enjoyment!

We had 2 pool views.... They just weren't our pool! :-D haha!! Had a view of pool in next door apartments and the 4* hotel over the road! :-D

Pool was nice and would recommend the pool bar for snacks/drinks. Only problem was it shut early., along with reception but this wasn't a major issue for us.

**Self catering tip! ** go to las palmeras shopping complex which is at the end of the road from the front of the apartments and at the top of the strip and downstairs is a brilliant and very reasonably prices spar! Half price of the other supermarket further down! €3 for bottle if cava which is £11 here in uk!

The views from our balcony were brilliant and the weather was amazing! Will definitely return here again! :) enjoy! :))

The accommodation was really very nice; well maintained and cleaned regularly.
Excellent swimming pool and lots of beautiful flowering shrubs.
Minor criticisms; no kettle, had to boil water for tea in a pan!
Reception office closed too much.

Room Tip: take a kettle!!

stayed here in October the weather was very hot . the location was handy for the town and nice and quiet. reception was only 8 to 6 you had to use a side gate to come and go after 6. the rooms were very clean but very dated (desperately in need of refurbishment) we stayed in a 1 bed apartment there was NO air conditioning in any of the rooms which made sleeping uncomfortable. the pool area was kept clean but the sun loungers were uncomfortable. the pool bar was good with snacks throughout the day. but you had to go into the town centre for an evening meal. the main beach was a short bus ride away 1and half euro each way. the town centre was about ten minutes walk with the old town where the restaurants were about 15 minutes walk. lots to see and do. the water park was about 10 minutes from our apartments.
would definitely go back to corralejo .

Room Tip: book a 2 or 3 bed apartment they are more up to date

Maxorata Beach is a small and basic apartment complex.
We experienced this complex as clean, nice and quiet and near the mainstreet of Corralejo.
The pool is small but nice for a hangout if you don's want to go to Flag Beach.
If you look for a central place to stay but like your privacy this is where you should go!

I have stayed in Fuerteventura about ten times and I have to say that overall the Maxorata Beach Apartments were the best I stayed in. These apartments are in a great locations just a couple of minutes walk to the main street and about ten minutes walk into the centre. The apartment was very spacious and was cleaned every other day. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The food in the pool bar was delicious and very cheap. Will definitely stay here again.

Stayed here for 5 days, accommodation was lovely, nice and clean, nice pool, friendly staff. Helpful when we wanted to book any trips or shows. Only thing was the reception opening hours were only from 8am to 5pm most days (and til 8pm on thursdays and sundays) which meant we had to leave ourselves into the complex using the side gates outside of these hours. The pool bar was nice and the food was good. There was a shop but it wasnt open from 1 til 4 during the day.
