Number 3 in Fuerteventura? I despair. This is why people are paying less and less attention to the ratings. I suppose it depends on the clientele after all. A tiny bar that does bog standard food from an extremely greasy little kitchen area (I confess I only watched, never ate), doesn't serve cocktails because, as the staff said, they never worked in a bar before getting the job there hence cocktails are too difficult, ends up #3!

Each to their own but by far the most over rated place I have ever visited.

Thanks for taking the time to leave a review. We appreciate all feedback however, I feel some of your comments are irrelevant and may cause offence to previous reviewers. Your comment about our clientele suggests our previous reviewers were happy to accept low standards. We are very proud of our little family cafe/ bar and have a strict daily, weekly and monthly cleaning regime. As you will see many of our reviewers comment on the cleanliness of the place. Your comment about the extremely greasy kitchen is simply untrue and only serves to mislead other readers of TA. The kitchen area is open for all to see, we have nothing to hide. Your comment on the food being bog standard is irrelevant as you yourself admit you never tried it. There are many bars in Corralejo specialising in Cocktails We are a small bar and therefore, choose not to advertise cocktails, as our speciality is in our large selection of malt whiskies. We do serve smoothie cocktails and can make cocktails to order if required. I'm sure if you had requested a specific cocktail we would have tried our best to oblige. Kind regards Ross

Many great breakfasts here, and lots of late evening drinking, everything was 'smashing'
Breakfast cooked fresh, pick whatever you would like of the menu, and the family will cook it to perfection for you. Always plenty of banter, willing to chat to everyone, so friendly, and full of information about the island, only wish we had got to say cheerio, as they had closed early on the Tuesday night before we went home.
Catch you next time, it was 'smashing' bye for now!!

After reading reviews in tripadviser prior to going on holiday on arrival we decided to give it a try and were definitely. Impressed .Food was superb and staff made us very welcome. We were so impressed we went back several times during our 1week holiday. One of the times was to celebrate one of our party's 50th birthday the spread they laid on was second to none.It. Is a lovely friendly bar / cafe and outshone any of the larger restaurants we went to.We would like to wish Ross,Maureen,David,Laura and not forgetting wee Sam good luck for the future and Thankyou for making our time there a bit special.

We had breakfast here 2 mornings in a row. First day was the owners
and service was prompt and breakfast was lush! 2nd day was the owners son and partner, service was not as friendly or as prompt but not worth marking this place down. They just looked like they had a rough night out. This place is so very good value for money in comparison to similar places around the resort. I would return on my next annual visit.

Hi

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review for An Caisteal.

We are sorry that the service on your second visit was not as prompt and friendly as your first, I can only apologise, it may have been that my daughter Laura and her husband had a bad night with there 2 year old son and had not had a lot of sleep.
We look forward to seeing you next time you are in town

Kind regards

Ross
