“'' Not a good hotel ''”
Reviewed November 17, 2012

First time in Fuertaventura, the country on it's own is fantastic but this hotel was not good, It only getting two stars because I had a good Pizza one day. Anyway, The rooms were tiny and no air conditioning, Not great for when it's 30 degrees plus. The rooms were kind of dirty and smelled of smoke, Balcony was also tiny. We even got a room change and still it was the same way. The pool was terribly small with zero activities to do so if your not a sunbather then you are going to be bored. The snack bar was good though with some interesting choices. The Price of the beer was over priced also, Ended up spending over a £1000 in spending money and that is not ideal. The water park in the area was awesome and we actually went twice. The local town was fantastic with lots of music bars and night clubs if you are into that kind of stuff. The staff were rude in the hotel also, Every question you asked them was responded with a moody face, Example asking to change rooms because a serious issue, As if we were wrong, Then when they changed we felt like '' Well we better like this room '' Which we didn't like anyway but stuck with it to keep the peace. It was a resort for young people and a lot were partying all night, Including us so I would not bring children here, Absolutely nothing for them to do what so ever and If you want quiet don't come here either, The pool was so jam packed that it was hard to even get a sunbed. The location was also poor, It was about 20 minutes walk from the center of the town, If you like walking great, We liked walking so it was a bonus. The walk was also lovely. We went to a local music bar called ''Imagine'' - It was fantastic and I would recommend everyone go here.

Overall pretty bad

Area itself = Great

Room Tip: Pool room if you can get one

I have just paid a return visit to Dunas Club, having stayed there in May. I was given a sea view room with views across to Lobos. As on the previous visit the room was kept spotlessly clean and the towels and bedding changed regularly. The bar and restaurant downstairs are great, the pool area was never crowded, the reception staff consistently friendly and helpful and the atmosphere laid back. For me the added bonus is the short walk into the centre of town, the ferry to Lanzarote across the road and the supermarket around the corner. I will be returning to Dunas Club several times next year and it will remain my first choice for accomodation in Corralejo.

This was the second time we have stayed there. we had a really good time . we were right next to the port. The complex was nice and clear. Rooms were nice, clean we stay in room 114 which look over the pool and pool bar which close at 6pm. we stayed half board which is taken in the la luna restaurant which was fantastic. The staff in the complex and restaurant are helpful and friendly. we will be going back.

In September this year, I spent two weeks at Dumas Club. Although situated at the far end of the town, it only takes a few minutes to walk to the old town. There are numerous bars and cafes, each serving a selection of food at good prices. The north of the island combines traditional canarian quisine and culture. The dunes are exceptional and well worth a visit. Hire a car and tour. A.great island to chill out on, sun all year round.

We had a really lovely holiday. We had room 233 which faced the back of the hotel. the view from the balcony was not very good, but quiet. The apartment we were in looked at though it had just been refurbished. We would definately return. i do understand previous comments that the road at one side was very noisy. The reception staff were very helpful giving advise on local buses etc.

This was our 1st time to Dunas Club, 4 adults and 2 young children. The complex was well kept and clean and value for money. Apart from a few guests ,most seemed to be of retirement age and also returning guests.
A few weeks before arrival ,I e-mailed the Dunas Club to see if we could request quieter rooms as we had younger children, no reply. I phoned and was told rooms were only allocated on arrival, despite some reveiwers advising to contact the Apartments prior to arrival.
One of the rooms we were given was next to the lift. It never bothered me but my wife was disturbed by the noise at night. Our apartment was above the reception desk, the bedroom being to the corridor/road side. Next doors apartment was the other way about, with both the lounge & bedrooms facing the quieter pool side. This also means they have larger balconies.
These are the ones to request on arrival if you can.
The restaurant, La Luna is well worth a visit, has really friendly staff and do a great breakfast, the best we had in the town.
The Pool....despite signs up saying no reserving sunbeds and that towels would be removed this wasn't the case. A few sunbeds were reserved every morning with no action taken.
The 1st time we used the pool, the kids pool. It seemed we were frowned upon ,not only by some of the older guests but also by the life guard. Not that we were making any noise, I think we had claimed some beds around the kids pool that some older guests had been regularly using before we arrived. We were scolded for the infant running around the pool, she hasn't been walking long never mind running. Also she kept pulling her sun hat off, which the life guard pulled us up for and suggested we would be better off at the beach. She kept coming across to the pool and stood with her hands on her hips looking our way. We felt uncomfortable & after about 40 mins, packed up and went to the beach. Normal order around the pool was resumed. We never used it again.
Probably a good hotel for older guests who want to just chill out, although I'm no spring chicken myself. Not for families with younger children. Would not go back for this reason.
We ate out all the time and never really used the self catering facilities. The large fridge really came in handy though.

Room Tip: Try to get a room on the reception side with the bedroom facing the pool. These are quieter and have...

Stayed here with friends - its quite close to town. We stayed in a room over looking the busy road to the port in a room with no air con so it was either very hot and a bit noisey or hot and very noisy asked to be moved staff couldn,t help. It was clean and it was value for money especially the resturant downstairs with a wonderful view. Would i book there again - NO but it wasn,t terrible. Staff were helpful and it was VERY clean.
