“Great value for money”
Reviewed February 24, 2014 via mobile

Myself and my partner stayed in Playa Park June 2013 and was very impressed with the service and the hotel overall. The hotel is situated in a great position for both the beach and the town centre. We were all inclusive during our visit and we could not fault the food one bit. There is one buffet restaurant serving food from a different country each night, one night being Spanish, one night Mexican, one night Italian etc. All staff from the receptionists to the waiters and the entertainment staff were extremely helpful and friendly. My partner fell ill towards the end of the holiday (too much sun!) and the staff went above and beyond the call of duty to make sure he was ok and taken to the hospital. The facilities at the hotel are fairly minimal with several pools and lots of space for sun loungers, a nice pool bar, and an indoor bar and entertainment room. The rooms were plainly decorated but comfy and homely and included a kitchen area and a fridge, a safe, and a table and chairs on the balcony. Only disappointing thing about our whole stay here was that there was no air conditioning in the rooms and had to sleep most nights with the balcony door slightly open. However it has everything you would expect and more from a 3* hotel! And it is one that I would highly recommend for a relaxing week away!

We had booked two apartments on a self catering basis but on arrival were told that due to recent heavy rain they were flooded, we were offered two studios plus half board, TV and safe as compensation. We agreed to this as there were no other alternatives. The studios faced in wards toward the pools and garden plus a glimpse of sea view in the distance, a small balcony with clothes dryer and pegs. The studio was big enough for the two of us with twin beds, a table two chairs and a chest of drawers. The kitchen area was compact with small hob, fridge, toaster, kettle various pots plates, etc for two people. no tea towel, washing up liquid or sponge/cloth.There was also a fitted wardrobe with hangers incorporating some shelf space and the safe. The was no light in this area so it was a bit dark! The bathroom had a hair dryer, usual facilities and a walk in shower, this room looked a bit tired. Soap and a couple of sachets of shampoo were provided. The studio was cleaned, towels and sheets changed on a regular basis. To get the TV to work was a bit of a mission and the TV's could do with upgrading, but we weren't there to watch television!
Staff worked hard and all common areas were very clean and reception was very efficient and friendly. The restaurant was kept clean and tables cleared quickly especially at peak times. The breakfast choice was very good with plenty to cater for all tastes, we did eat an evening meal on the first day as we arrived late, this was a bit disappointing but in fairness we were there close to closing time. We had lunches there which were OK with something for everyone but was a bit repetitive in terms of choice. We eat out every evening.
The pool area and gardens were well kept and clean, a small pool was heated and there was a life guard in attendance during opening hours. There were plenty of sunbeds available but as usual the early morning towels were out to claim the best spots (sad). An animation team provided entertainment and games during the day and evening in the bar area, not for us but plenty of people joined in and had fun. We only went to the bar a couple of times and were surprised at how reasonable the prices were for a hotel.
When we were there the clientèle were mainly French, North European and British, couples of all ages and young families. All in all very good value for money and with a little bit of upgrading of the studios and corridors would boost my rating of this property.
There is a big supermarket a few minutes walk away, the main shopping area is 15 minutes walk, the restaurant area near the harbour 20 to 25 minutes walk (taxis back about 4 euros), beaches 15 minutes walk away, sand dunes a bit longer.

Room Tip: Studios facing the road on the upper floor have no balcony, apartments facing south get the most sun...

We went in January and felt this was excellent value for money. Clean, comfortable, attentive staff, decent decor, pleasant garden and pool. Only negative was lack of decent reading light in the bedroom, we were given a tiny table lamp on request which didn't really do the job, however would have been prepared to buy one in town if necessary because of the overall good value of the place.

Husband and I visited the aparthotel 5th to 12th Feb our rooms were as requested in a quiet spot we had our own bedroom bathroom lounge dinner and kitchen. It was clean comfortable and roomy with its own outside space. The pool area and gardens were very clean and well kept, with great pools and a water slide and hot tub. The entertainment team were busy day and night and it was up to you to join in the fun or just chill by the pool. Entertainment was provided every night and was aimed at all ages and tastes. The bar was good and the bar staff very helpful and friendly making some super cocktails. The food was plentyful and varied but by no means top notch. We found plenty to eat and did not hear anyone complain about anything all the time we were there. We were lucky with the weather and came home tanned and relaxed after a great holiday. Corralejo town was pleasant with shops markets bars and restaurants. Clean sandy beaches and clear blue sea. In the harbour we watched fish as if we were at the aquarium while the boats and ferry to Lanzarotte csme in and out. It seemed a great destination for all ages. While there make sure to buy the local aloe vera products made on the island. We will be visiting again very soon.

The apartments were clean and spacious. 15 minute walk to main strip and beach but worth it as no traffic noise or dogs barking.
Beds were comfortable.
Staff friendly and our maid was very good did more than I would expect, nothing was too much trouble.
Kitchen was basic but expected, when we asked of a bottle opener we got it very quickly. We also had a very bad squeaky door and it was repaired immediately.
Although we went in January so the complex was not full there was plenty of beds around the pool. One fault the gym was poor, the equipment was old or broken, no problem if it is not your scene.

Room Tip: We asked for a sunny afternoon balcony and got it

We where booked to go to the Playa with friends for a week at the end of January.I had done loads of research on TA and was really looking forward to it.When we arrived they told us they had no rooms for us we complained and were told to go for dinner and he would see what he could do. On returning to reception he had found 2 disabled rooms for us but he told us they were the worst rooms in hotel and we wouldn't want them. Rooms seemed fine but were facing a brick wall,We were not happy with this so he said to go look at 1 hotel the Aloe I asked could we come back the next day told NO we had to stay the full week. The rooms were ok so we took them. on returning home when checking hotels the Aloe was not to the standard of the Playa. We will not be back, and would not recommend this hotel.

Room Tip: Never stayed here so wouldn't know what was best

Myself my wife and two friends booked into the Playa Park Club from the 31st January until the 7th February On arrival at just after 9 pm after travelling all day the chap at the reception said that he had bad news for us and hey ho guess what they DID NOT have rooms for us this was a great start to the holiday which we were on to celebrate our friends wedding anniversary and after some arguing the chap said to go and have some dinner and he would see what could be done ,we went back to the reception after dinner and WOW he miraculously found two rooms but emphasised that they were the worst rooms in the hotel he let us see them ,they were adapted into disabled rooms we asked if rooms would be available the next day if we took these for the night we were told NO so it was either the rooms that the balcony faced onto a wall or two rooms at the Aloe club very un helpful we were also told that if we stayed in the rooms at the Aloe club that we could not go back to the playa park club as rooms were not available But when I was out for a run the following morning I ran passed the Playa Park Club only to find a lot of people waiting outside for transfers to the airport after finishing their holiday! If there one think that I can't stand is someone who tells lies on hind sight I think we should have called his bluff and took the two rooms he miraculously found that were adapted for disabled people to see what would have happened the next day .I would not recommend this place to anyone VERY DISAPOINTED
