The hotel is clean and well maintained. Great place to relax. Private beach with sun beds and chill out area. Restaurant overlooking the water. Breakfast great. Really enjoyed the Japanese Restaurant, the good was amazing! Lovely Spa. We had interconnecting rooms and both were always cleaned with fresh linen and toiletries, couldn't fault the cleanliness. The only criticism would be perhaps more staff are needed in the bar/terrace area so that people are not waiting too long to be served. Staff were always helpful. We would definitely return!

This is my second time at this hotel and it is even better than the first. The hotel has some of the friendliest obliging staff I have ever met. Our sea view room had some of the most amazing views of Lobos Island and Lanzarote in the distance. Towels are changed twice daily and rooms are kept extremely clean. TV with English channels. A small sitting area and balcony with two comfortable chairs. Turn down service in the evening. The secret of success of this hotel is, it bases its improvements on many customer recommendations. The food in the hotel is first class. Starting at breakfast, the choice was endless with cooking stations and juice bar. Lunch in Las Palmaras restaurant overlooking the sea is divine. The paella and fish dishes served with perfection. La Cupula (the Michelin star chef Charles Gaig governed restaurant ) was fabulous, the tasting menu was excellent). La Alcena was a buffet style restaurant with a huge choice. Didn't try the other restaurants, Spanish and Japanese, but they looked excellent also. Sitting on the terrace in the evening was very chilled listening to a wonderful violinist, saxophonist and guitarist. Not forgetting the amazing cocktail or two.
The indoor spa was a nice change to cool down in the heat and there are three outdoor pools. Sun beds are very comfortable and staff are walking around ready to serve cool drinks if required.
The hotel is a 4 euro taxi ride into Corralejo with some nice shops and lovely fish restaurants around the harbour in the Old town. One of my favourite hotels in the whole of Canary Islands.

Dear guest,

first of all thank you choosing us for your return visit to the island and for sharing such wonderful feedback about your stay with us and the online travelers community.
We highly appreciate it when our guests take a little time to resume their holiday experience and we can see from your comments that you had a fairly positive one, this in return motivates to continue to offer the very best of our service.
It is true that we do listen to our customers and since the very opening of our hotel we have implemented additional service features and added new installations over the time, always keeping in mind our guests preferences and neccesities.
As for our gastronomic choices we try to go beyond the usual culinary experience and in Cupula our gourmet restaurant, we provide a unique setting and service paired with exceptional dishes based on fresh ingredients full of flavour.
We encourage you to try during your next visit also our spanish restaurant Las Columnas and our japanese cuisine in Yamatori, here you can sample traditional food or be more adventurous and try some excotic dishes.
In reference to the spa and gym, we use the opportunity to highlight the daily free entrance for our adult guests (minimum age 16 years), surely a nice way to start your day with more vitality or end it in a relaxed way.

Thank you for comments and recommendations, we hope to see you again soon!

Warmest regards,

We were looking for a relaxing hotel to spend our holidays in, and the Bahia Real did not disappoint.

The staff are all extremely professional and very friendly - this was one of the first things we noticed upon our arrival to the hotel. The bellboy Cristo made an excellent first impression on us: he was very attentive and friendly, and even gave us some tips for excursions and places to visit on the island. He definitely contributed to our positive experience at the hotel, always taking some time to greet us. We were also very impressed by the staff at the buffet restaurant, particularly Sabrina, Nestor and Beatriz.

The food at the buffet restaurant is good, although, as expected, some dishes are better than others. I would recommend trying the fish. Every night has a different theme, ranging from ‘Oriental’ to traditional food from the Canary Islands, so there’s always something new to try. The variety of food is excellent, especially at breakfast - there’s definitely something for everyone.

I liked the pool area - there are three pools: one heated, one normal, and one for kids. Although it did get a bit busy when more guests arrived, it usually wasn’t a problem to find a lounger.

If you’re looking to swim in the sea, however, the hotel beach isn’t the best option as the sea isn’t easily accessible in some parts. That being said, the beach is nice, clean and well equipped with loungers and parasols. There are also other beaches nearby in case you really want to go for a swim in the sea.

Many things are accessible from the hotel. The walk to the town is pleasant - you can either walk along the shore on a sand path or just navigate the streets. You can also take a taxi, which takes less than 10 minutes and costs about €4.

Overall, we enjoyed our stay at the Bahia Real. We would definitely recommend it, and if the opportunity arises it would be a pleasure to come back.

Dear guest,

thank you very much for selecting our Gran Hotel Atlantis Bahía Real as your first choice resort for your vacation on the island.
We are pleased to hear that you found our hotel ideal for relaxing as you had planned for.
Our staff are renowed for being very attentive, anticipating our guests neccesities and preferences and helping them to make the most of their stay.
We will pass on your comments to our bellboy Cristo, our waiter Nestor and our Public Relations trainee Sabrina, who we are sure will be thrilled that about your special mention.
As for our gastronomic offer we do indeed try to offer a vast variety of dishes to suit all tastes and we encourage guests to try new dishes, they might not have had the chance to try before, such as our traditional canarian "mojo" sauces, the sweet and savoury "Bienmesabe" dessert and many more.
We enjoy a very "lucky" location, with the beach literally at your doorstep, furthermore we are set amidst one of the most scenic landscapes you will find on the island: the breathtaking archipielago of Lobos and Lanzarote as the perfect backdrop of your holidays.
Coco Beach in front of the hotel offers all the comfort you can dream of: comfy loungers comprising windshields, bar service on the beach, balibeds for hire, showers and restrooms as well as several restaurants and bars in close proximity to you, palm trees providing shade , and of course lifeguards on permanent duty during the day.
In close proximity the Natural Park of the Dunes of Corralejo lures nature lovers to venture out and discover pristine beaches with sandy shores and cristal clear waters.
We recommend to bring along an umbrella or hat as you won't find any shade, plenty water as services are very scarse and to take special care when swimming, as there are no lifeguards in this area. In any case a visit to this beautiful area during your holidays is much recommended.

We look forward to your return visit and encourage you to contact us directly if we can provide personal assitance with your booking.

We stayed here in early July and the place exceeded our already high expectations.
The Sea view room we booked was so close to the see, you could actually hear the waves. Excellent service and quality throughout. The highlights for us were Coral Beach beach bar that is literally on the sea and the much under-used spa, which is free every day (except treatments) and really offered a lovely place to hide from the noon sun.
The bay at Corralejo was only €4-5 away in a taxi and even closer, a lovely shopping centre with a market twice a week was well worth a visit.
The only downside was the price of the drinks, (even soft) but to be expected at a 5* hotel in all fairness.
We had a terrific time here and would certainly return.

Tip - Sea view rooms are worth the extra, or you get a fairly dull view of a walled in garden.

Tip 2 - The locals pronounce the hotel name 'Buyer Ray-al', to save you struggling with 'ba-hee-a' like I did!! (tourist!)

Room tip: Sea view rooms worth the extra

Dear Mr. Clark,

first of all thank you very much for choosing us for your early summer get-away and for your rave review.
We are pleased to hear that you enjoyed your holidays so much that you would certainly come back, furthermore we appreciate that you took some time to share your recommendations with the online travel community.
Our Coco Beach Lounge & Club is located on a pontoon above the sea and a visit is much recommended to enjoy the beautiful views. A perfect place to enjoy your favourite cocktail and relax or to sample the fine mediterranean cuisine in close contact with nature.
The Spa Bahia Vital is like you say a hidden gem inside the hotel, our adult guest (from 16 years) enjoy one complimentary entrance per day and they will find a wide array of services within the thermal circuit, such as turkish bath, sauna, different jets and a cold water plunge pool amongst other. There also is a separate only adult solarium with a jacuzzy and a very peaceful and quiet ambience.

In reference to our price-quality relation it is in line with the high standart of a 5 star hotel and fairly balanced. Please bear in mind that we only use the finest brands in spirits, cocktails and the likes<, entirely avoiding any substandard "budget-friendly" products you may find in some other places, as we reckon the quality is questionable.
As for the room we agree that sea view rooms are ideal for those visitors who want to spend some time on their balcony, on the other side garden view rooms offer secluded privacy and afternoon sun and we can assure our gardens are kept in pristine shape.

Once again thank you for your recommendation and helpful hints, we are sure readers will appreciate your helpful advice.
We look forward to see you on your return visit!
