Stayed at The Arena last week in February.
Finally arrived at hotel after a long wait, in very cold wind, for the shuttle bus.
Check in was very quick and trouble free. After inspecting our allocated room we realised that it would be noisy at night as it was next to the bar area. Returned to reception where we were changed to a room beside the pool and restaurant. This turned out to be excellent as it faced south with its own terrace. The room was large and spotless. Air conditioning was never used due to the cool weather at this time of year.
The food in the restaurant was good and varied apart from lunch which appeared to be the same every day.
The staff were all very friendly and helpful especially Ramona ( entertainment organiser) and Mario ( restaurant & bar).
Ramona has a great personality and run all the daytime and evening entertainment. She was really missed on her day off.
Mario was an excellent barman. You never had to ask him for a drink as he was already pouring it as you walked up to the bar.
All in all a good hotel for a winter break that probably is only a 3 star + with 5 star staff.More
