This is the second time we've stayed at this hotel and again we loved it. Location is second to none, the staff are all friendly and eager to make your stay as comfortable and as enjoyable as possible, choice of food is great and rooms are clean and comfortable.

Ok the hotel could be doing with an overhaul but you can't beat the location.

Trip in March 2012. The key point of this hotel is its amazing location: there are only 2 hotels lost in the middle of a desert of sand dunes, on a beautiful sand beach. Nothing compared to packed hotels with tiny beaches in the center of Corralejo.

It only takes 10min by bus to get to the city centre to do some shopping. Easy access to a day trip to Lanzarote as well (recommended).

Hotel : the hotel is big, one part is a building, the other a park with bungalows. There are 2 heated pools. There are 4 different restaurants. Facilities are nice. Staff is really helpful.

Buffet : Though buffet is more oriented towards German taste, it was OK with good choice. Breakfast is nice, though it ends at 10 a.m.

Rooms : we were 2 and were given a spacious en-suite bungalow, big enough for a family of 4. The only problem was that cleaning ladies made a LOT of noise at 8 a.m in the morning. it was impossible to sleep late, which is a shame in that type of hotel. Vacuum cleaner noise at 7.30, seriously?

Summary : this hotel is nice one with good value for money considering its incredible and rare location on Fuerteventura, and ideal for a week to rest. I would definitely recommend it. However, it is not a 5* hotel, so do not expect that.

I love this hotel. As usual amazing staff, lovey food, and the to die for beautiful beach. We stayed this year on floor 6 had pool, beach, mountain view, perfect. All and all hotel is as good as the last 4 years I have been going there.
Nobody seems to have mentioned on here the games room main hotel downstairs. It needs a bigger room. Two table tennis tables not enough for the guests. Two pool tables, 2 euro a game, no triangle for one table, 4 shody ques no chalk. An air disk game, 2 euros worked when it wanted to!
Pretty poor all in all. Another thing annoyed me was having to get change for the machines from reception, they always made excuses about giving change. I mentioned that they should get a change machine or convert the payment to tokens. As much as I love this hotel I probably wont return. It felt like a saga holiday, and kids dont splash in the main pool!! People on laptops and kindles moan. Adios Olivia beach.

Room Tip: If in the main hotel ask for pool view.

stayed for 2 weeks early may.Very good staff, good choice of food and drink, fabulous beach. On the downside, rooms very tired also hotel corridors tatty ,a good lick of paint required.Very cold at night so be prepared as you will probably end up sitting outside the entertainment venues due to lack of space inside. As others have said, really windy on the beach but take care as you will burn easily without knowing it.This is not the worst hotel you will stay at so give it a go.I would probably go back in the future.

Room Tip: stayed in the main hotel lovely sea views.

When we were looking for a late sunshine break just before our sons wedding we listened to a friends recommendation and booked here. We have stayed at RIU hotels before mainly in Cape Verde so we knew basically what to expect.Reading some of the reviews I wonder if we stayed at the same hotel! From the moment we arrived and were ushered through to get a drink and food before the restaurant closed to the moment we left I have nothing but the highest praise for the service we received. It is true there are a few negatives about the hotel, The facade could do with some "loving" attention and there are bits of grids etc by the main pool which need attention. The furniture in the room is a bit dated (but not a problem) That said the plus's far outweigh the negatives. As I have said the service is brilliant, I had e-mailed asking if I could have a balcony which got the sun as my wife finds it difficult to use a sun bed and prefers a chair, I was told I had not booked a sea view (which I am now glad) in the main hotel but we were in the annexe but I would have a room with the sun. This was an understatement as our terrace had the sun from when it came up until it went down plus it was quite private and peaceful. Our room was huge in fact it was enough for 6 without a problem as we had a double bedroom plus a huge lounge with 2 settees etc and of course the lovely spacious terrace. There were 2 main restaurants and we used to use the one in the annexe for breakfast and the Main hotel one at night but they were basically identical. Food was typical RIU and sufficient choice for anyone. Drinks etc were plentiful and after buying the first bottle of water we just refilled it like everyone else at one of the numerous drink stations. We can't really comment on the evening entertainment as we chose not to stay after the first evening however it is difficult to see if you are at the back as it is all on one level and the stage is low. There seemed to be plenty to do in the day if you chose. The beach was great to walk on (yes the "naturists" are quite close to the hotel but are not a problem) All in all a great break and we would return,we decided we prefered it to Cape Verde as the flight is shorter and it is not as barren even though the RIU 's there are structurally better. If you can get room 2105 (or 2101/3/7) as I have said you get the sun all day.

Room Tip: Hotel rooms do not seem to get the sun for long but as I have said annexe rooms 2101/2103/2105/2107...

This review is a bit overdue, but wanted to share my opinion about this hotel.
Our room was located in the main building and we paid for sea view (not really worth as we had more view towards the tennis court rather then sea). Hotel clean and good choice of food. Staff mostly friendly, but be aware of rude female waitresses. They always kick up a fuss if you take the "wrong" place to seat, so you are allowed to seat only where they want you to. Poor experience as they are for the customer not customer for them.
Most customers German and also plenty of nudists on the beach, but beach is absolutely gorgeous and makes up for all down sides of the hotel.
Pool loungers always occupied early in the morning, loungers at the beach are to be paid for.
Room cleaning rather ok, but on one occasion our room was left open after cleaning, so we were very upset.
I would recommend this hotel only due to excellent location which makes rather good value for money.
