We always promised ourselves that we would stay in this hotel when previously visiting Olivia Beach and it did not disappoint! Plenty of loungers (although not always a brolly!) Excellent food and brilliant staff! The place is spotlessly clean and as for the Germans one of them befriended us! Our room was an average size with a nice sea view and had maid service every day.
Activities/trips during the day but the only downside is the evening entertainment - dire!!! We went into Corralejo which was ok but quite expensive to drink for the evening but a prompt taxi back to the hotel (8 euro).
This was a lovely relaxing holiday and if you're looking for fab food and a beautiful beach/pool this is the place for you!

Room Tip: Room in the hotel quiet.

We traveled as a family of seven aged between 60 and 2 and we all found this hotel fantastic. Coming up to the holiday I was quite apprehensive reading some of the negative reviews however I shouldn't have worried. Arriving at around 10.30pm we were swiftly checked in and given a map of the complex. We were told that the dining room had re-opened for us so that we could get food if we needed to which was nice.

As a family we had two rooms in the annex and one in the hotel. We stayed in one of the family rooms in the annex (3115) and it was great. Very spacious, it was on the outskirts of the complex which meant our patio was lovely and quiet and overlooked the dunes and gardens. Good choice of TV channels. The aircon only worked for part of the day which was odd but not a problem at all for us. The beds were fairly hard but we like ours that way so no issue. I don't agree that the rooms are dated in the annex, I think they are just quite traditional. I saw no issues that needed addressing. Fair enough it's not super modern but it's clean, comfy and it works and isn't tatty. The room my in laws had in the hotel seemed quite small considering they paid more and possibly could have done without the carpet, I think tiled floors are better in places like this however the view from their balcony was great.

We stayed around the annex pool which is a free form shape. Having read the reviews I got up early on the first morning to bag some loungers at 7am. There were a few towels already down but nowhere near as bad as some of the reviews suggest. Every other day I went down later (around 10 am) and never failed to get a lounger. Perhaps if you wanted 5 or 6 together then it might be more difficult but even so i'm sure it wouldn't be a huge problem. There were always free ones stacked around the edges. It is true that there aren't may parasols and these do get nabbed early.

We used the Jacuzzi by the hotel pool however this is shaded by palm trees which is nice but can make it a bit cold - even in August.

The location is stunning. A beautiful big beach. We hired 2 loungers and a parasol on there one day for 9 euros and went body-boarding. The beach can be a bit windy and the waves strong so maybe not a great beach for little children to go paddling. The two little shops in the hotel (one by the top bar and one by the annex pool) sell things like windbreaks and bucket and spade kits too.

The food was great. Yes it can get a bit repetitive I suppose but there was loads of choice every night so you can try something different each time. None of us got bored at all. The fresh salads and soups were fantastic and the hot meals were tasty and fresh. We ate in each restaurant, the Chinese being a particular favorite! The waiters were great, clearing empty plates quickly and were brilliant with the children. Drinks again were very good - including the wine which is on tap to serve yourself along with beer and soft drinks.

The resort seemed to us to be split pretty equally between British and German tourists with quite a few French too. Everyone was polite and nice, no issues at all. The hotel staff were great and could all speak English and German as well as Spanish it seemed! The entertainment was naff, as I have always found it in hotels, however the Grease night was so funny it had to be seen. I suppose this could be better but it didn't bother us. There are loads of activities going on but you are not pestered to join if you don't want to which is good.

My only two small niggles are that there should be free WiFi in the lobby but at present you have to pay for it and also that there should be free/inclusive bottled water in the fridge in the rooms. You had to buy it from the little shops or water dispensers around the complex. Hang on to your empty bottles because you can refill them in the day and put them in the fridge to cool (you can even do this with the wine if you want to spend the night on your patio we found!)

We would certainly recommend and have no hesitation going back.

Just come back from a wonderful 2 weeks holiday,My Husband and I Loved this Hotel, one very minor gripe is that the swimming area is really not big enough for this size of hotel, loads of Sun Beds, not enough Brolly's,well thats the negative over.
Arrived about 9pm to be told by a Very Smiley Receptionist that We had been Upgraded to a Hotel Room with a Sea View(Room was lovely and clean,if a little worn, but We were thrilled),was asked to leave Our Cases and Someone would bring them up to the room for Us,which They Promptly did,We then went down to Dinner, which leads Me very nicely to The Restaurants.
We only ate in the Main Restaurant in The Hotel(apart from the 2 Bookable ones),We found it to be clean,Friendly and there was always plenty of food available,Hot,Well Presented, and Very Tasty.I would like to give a quick mention about Chani, who waitressed at Breakfast times, and was So Pleasant and Charming, will miss Her.
As mentioned in Previous Reviews, there were 2 other Reastaurants that You could book 24 hours in advance(Canarian and Asian),We found Both of them to be absolutely wonderful, although We Both slightly preferred the Canarian.Personal Choice.
Two Bars in The Main Hotel, both of which were friendly, easy to get seats, and at Neither of them did You have to wait for more than a Minute or so to get served, which I thought was great, given as how busy The Hotel was,Well done Everyone.
We tended to use The Small Free Beach Area most days as You could still get 2 Sunbeds and A Brolly at about 9am,which You couldn't at The Pool, due to Towells being laid down in the early hours.
One day,We did use The Beach and paid 9 Euros for 2 Beds and A Brolly, for the day.
Beach was lovely and clean, very well maintained.
There are One or Two Naturists dotted about, but to be honest They didn't bother Us(You just don't look).
Apart from going over to The Asian Restaurant,We didn't use The Annexe,so can't comment on that side.
We walked into Corralejo twice during Our Stay, once along the Beachfront, which took Us about 2 Hours, and Once over The Dunes, close to the Main Road, which took about Hour and Half.We enjoyed doing Both, although Very Hot.While there We ate at The Prince of Wales,Good English Pub Grub, and Very reasonable prices.
One night We took a Taxi into Town which cost Us 7 Euros. While there We decided to have a drink by The Harbour,We first went to an Irish Bar called Ali's,We waited 5 Minutes and even though someone saw Us sit down,No one came over,so We got Up and left. Two Bars further down there was a Bar called The Blue Rock, what a difference, served straight away by a lovely Lady called Jill.We then found another Irish Bar called Paddy's and there We stayed for the rest of the evening as it was So Friendly and there was a Live singer on.
Went on a Day Trip through The First Choice Reps,Fuertaventura Uncovered,49 Euros Per Adult.
Full Day,Lunch Included.Fabulous View Points of The Island.Roger,Our Guide was absolutely Fantastic, knew so much about The Island,as He had lived there for Many Years.Well worth doing.
Just want to finish off by saying that We were Both Very Impressed with the cleanliness of The Hotel and The Friendliness of The Staff, whoever and wherever They worked.
Thank You All for a Most Enjoyable Holiday.

We loved our 7 night break at this resort. The food was great and easy self service for soft drinks all day. Pool area is not overcrowded and so peaceful. Perfect place for reading and enjoying the sun. The beach was fantastic, the only problem is the wind as it blows sand everywhere, although this is to be expected on the island. It can become a little chilly on the evening because of the wind as well so a light jacket is advisable, possible cardigan or jumper. The rooms are clean and comfortable. We had a lovely view over the beach and pool. It is a short taxi drive into the small centre of Corralejo and it's a lovely place for an evening out or a browse during the day. Taxi's are easy to get hold of as there is a taxi stand directly outside the hotel. I would return to this hotel for a relaxing break. This hotel is suitable for couples and families but not those who want nightlife as the resort centre would be more suitable for this. We stayed at this resort in June 2012.

Travelled with family, 2 teenagers.
Booked 10 days beforehand having seen this hotel when staying in Corralejo 5years ago.
I had read the reviews and was slightly nervous, reports of poor food, loads of rude Germans etc etc. Yes there are Germans there but you know what? I hardly noticed, I fact I enjoyed the pool volley ball with them and found those that I did speak to really friendly.

We arrived and were allocated an apartment in the annex, this was huge! Two good bedrooms and bathrooms and a large lounge. Yes the furniture and TV were slightly dated but everything was spotless, cleaned daily to a high standard and very comfortable. The A/C policy is strange though, only active from 11am to 11 pm, when most people are out! We had a ground floor with a lovely patio which we spent loads of time on.

The pool was great, yes you need to reserve your place but where can you go where this is not usual? We managed to get a similar spot each day. The annex pool was lovely, fairly quite with no loud music and close to the bar and restaurant.

We really enjoyed the food, loads of choice and very tasty, we only used the annex restaurant and enjoyed every meal there.

To be honest we didn't bother with the entertainment or the reps, we find that most resort hotel entertainment is pretty naff so gave it a miss!

The beach is amazing and possibly one of the best I have been on, I have been to many places and this is right up there. The only down side is the red flags but they are there for a reason as the sea can be quite rough, even so the sand is great and the sea is crystal clear.

Overall a great week, really relaxing, good facilities and good food, would I go back? Absolutely.

Room Tip: Ground floor annex rooms are great for families.

We visited our favorite hotel for the 14th time, the food & drink quality has decreased over the years, the beach is fantastic & the long serving bar/restaurant/reception staff are as helpful as ever & we shall miss them as we will not be returning. However there is nothing for the teenagers to do in the evening & even though there is a nightly show in the main bar it is only between 9.30-10.30 pm, the music in the upstairs bar is only available 2 nights per week. The free WIFI was taken away during our second week & now you have to pay. There is no drinking water supplied now & my change got stuck in the machine so be careful to go to the shop during the day to stock up. There is a disco that opens at 11 pm but teenagers are not allowed in after midnight to dance even if accompanied by their parents therefore it is empty as the people that want to dance are not allowed in so it is only used for a late night drink when the other bars are shut & the security guard is dangerous & I feel someone will get hurt as he forcefully sent my son to the floor when he tried to dance in there after midnight even though I was there. I no longer recommend this as a family hotel.

Room Tip: If you are travelling without children then you can stay in the hotel & the rooms are much bette...
