“Great relaxing Holiday”
Reviewed May 19, 2012

We visited this hotel on the 9th of May for a one week stay.We have been to Fuerteventura many times but this was our first stay at The Oliva Beach Hotel.I cannot fault this hotel one bit we paid 480 for one weeks all inclusive and it was worth every penny. The hotel furnishings may be a little dated but everywhere was spotlessly clean. The grounds well kept, the staff were so friendly we have stayed in five star accomodation and not had such pleasant staff. The best attraction however is the location right on a spectacular beach and only a short bus or taxi ride into Corralejo( You can walk into Corralejo along the beach it takes approx 1hr 30 mins if you a fairly fit). The night time entertainment wasn,t really for us but people with children said the kids entertainment was good. The weather was above average when we were there so we stayed on the beach till late went for a meal a few drinks then bed .For the price this is an excellent hotel!

Room Tip: We stayed in the annex rooms .Not got the view that the main hotel has.the room however was fine and...

just got back from staying at oliva beach , we found all the staff very friendly and very helpful.the whole hotel is very clean, the men are out everyday at 5am cleaning the pool area and again at night time. our room in the hotel was kept really clean everyday by the domestic goodess;s the food is a bit repeptative but we always found something to eat. my only complaint is the people who are out at the crack of dawn to hog all the sunbeds and parasols no consideration for anyone else, the beach next to the hotel is to die for but dont be shy it is mainly naturists thankyou once again oliva beach for a fantastic holiday

Room Tip: the rooms in the hotel have great veiws over the beach, and mountains and are beautiful

Great hotel, great resort, great weather, entertainment ok (could do with some improvement), food good (very repetitive but always something to eat, we don’t eat pork or shelled fish but always found something we could eat), drinks very good. Location very good (the local bus stop is just outside the hotel which we use a few times), taxi rank outside of hotel was reasonable (used a few times), The beach is absolutely fabulous, miles and miles of soft sand, the sea was cold but we saw a few people swimming in it. Sand Dunes were a great walk (very difficult to climb up some of them). We were in the annex and found the room to be of a good standard, we liked the idea of have a living area as well as a bedroom (my husband would have preferred if the TV was in the bedroom and not in the living room ). TV was very good because we had some good channels showing old and new movies. Overall we thought that this was one of our best holidays in Europe and would definitely recommend it to others and hope to return here in the future.

This was my first trip but not others in party.Friendly helpful staff with a relaxed atmosphere. We thought food was good but a bit monotonous, there again isnt it always. We had a spacious set of rooms in the annex at the side of the pool ( as requested) and near one of the restaurants. There were games every day by the side of the two different pools and a show every evening. We were pleasantly surprised by the shows. They were good. All inclusive really was every thing including water for the room. We got three litres a day.Any requests or problems we met were dealt with promptly. Great value for money.

Room Tip: If you have children ask for the annex rooms

Positives- most wonderful beach location the best point of the hotel
Great children's club for my four year old good staff and choice of activities
food was average but if you were hungry there was always something available drinks plentiful
There was a good balance of things going on in the hotel eg games, staff walking around the poolside offering novelty drinks, sangria, Spanish dishes and live music lunch on one of the days.
very clean both rooms and around the hotel
Negatives- rooms were 'basic Spanish' and the beds were very uncomfortable
Evening entertainment wasn't the best and the layout of the main entertainment wasn't very good if you were near the back you had little chance of seeing what was going on
No kettle in the Room it was 10 euro to hire for the week with a 20 euro deposit
If you wanted to go for a short walk somewhere there was nowhere in walking distance especially
With a buggy, we had to get a taxi to the nearest town

All in all a good holiday and I would be happy to return.

This was our 3rd visit to this hotel for our wedding anniversary as it is a very relaxing holiday. Short transfer from airport and nice welcome when you arrive. Everywhere is kept beautifully clean, the pools are cleaned and water tested daily (although a little cold in April). Rooms are cleaned daily (although they could now do with a little paint) and the staff are extremely polite. There was a good variety of food (I am very fussy) but the only grumble is that its not very hot, we did find a microwave though if you wanted to heat it up. We were very lucky to have Emma our Thomson Rep as I had forgotten to pack a few items and she quickly offered to but them for us that same day.We will definately be thinking of returning again. We prefer to be in the annex but the hotel side is where the beach is. You can eat at either restaurant though

Room Tip: If you want a fairly quiet room and overlooking the pool choose 1202/1203
