“Friendly, comfortable bar with great food and excellent staff”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 24, 2012

Unfortunately we found this lovely bar/restaurant near the end of our trip so couldnt visit more. We received a friendly welcome from the two guys running it. My friend asked for a cocktail and he never had the one she asked but was more than happy to make up something else for her. We were looking for something to eat and the majority of us ordered fish and chips but the chef came over to apologise they had no fish. After some deliberation we decided to go elsewhere when the chef came over to say if we didnt mind waiting, he'd get us fish! Someone went out especially to get us fish, I've never experienced such kind, accomodating service. And the fish was well worth the wait!! I have no doubt you will be guaranteed a warm welcome, the two guys we encountered bent over backwards to accomodate us.

“Lovely Cafe Bar”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 24, 2012

We found this lovely place being run by Nathan and John, who really looked after us and nothing was a bother, they went over and above what you would expect in small place like this, the food freshly cooked to order. Well woth a visit, would recommend.

“Good value”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 3, 2012

We ate here a couple of times as it was so close to our apartment. Very good value and quite nicely set out. One one of our visits there was a young 'surfing crowd' in but they were no problem. I think the new owners were still experimenting with the menu, not the best food we've had but we'll give them another chance in September. Lovely bar maid/waitress

“A hidden treasure Fantastic food, wine and service, the best in Corralejo”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed August 1, 2011

Tucked away on a side street near the harbour in Correlejo lies one of the most wonderful places to tickle my taste buds in a long time, The Café Lounge.
In over 25 years of vacations on the wonderful island of Fuerteventura, we have never enjoyed a meal so much. Over the years we have always done self catering and visited many of the restaurants in the area, trying out most of the side street tapas bars and sea front restaurants. Coming out of our accommodation. The Dunas Club Hotel we decided to turn left instead of right and came upon a sign offering a barbeque of €9.50, we decided to give it a try. Unlike most barbeques, that have most of the food pre-prepared, the Chef Peter greeted us and asked us what we would like and he prepared for us on request there was a choice of chicken, steak, pork, fish, salad, baked potatoes and homemade coleslaw and sauces. We opted to try a bit of everything. The steak in particular was cooked to perfection and as tender as we have ever had before, the rest of the food was magnificent, not only that but it was eat as much as you like which is great value for such quality food. We decided to go again the following night and try the menu. We ordered both starters and main course, Stuart opted for the prawns cooked in garlic and I had the chicken quesadilla, the prawns were a terrific rendition of the classic Spanish dish that left your taste buds dancing for more, my quesadilla was enough to share (but I didn’t), made with homemade tortillas it was so fresh and delicious. For the main course I had the Dorada which was served filleted with home cooked chips and salad, the fish was delicious and best of all, no bones. Stuart had the steak served with two baked potatoes and salad which was once again cooked to perfection and topped with mushrooms which had the most wonderful caramalised taste. We washed this down with a wonderful bottle of Rioja, finished with a coffee and Disaronno, all for less than €50. The menu is small and uncomplicated, offering fine dishes that will suit most tasted, you could go every night of a seven day holiday and try something new. The wine list is the best I’ve seen fantastic quality and on average €5 or more cheaper than any of the close rivals. The setting is sophisticated yet warm and friendly, the atmosphere is relaxing yet fun, the owners Eddie and Peter make you feel welcome and have many interesting tales to tell, as do one or two of the regulars!!
Having a chef as a partner can have it’s good points but quite often when one is trying to relax and enjoy a meal it is often interrupted by negative comments about the quality of the food, the presentation, the wine, therefore I would like to thank Peter for his fine cuisine which left Stuart speechless for almost a whole hour, Eddie for being a great host and bringing such a quality restaurant/bar to the area. You have ‘upped the Steaks’ for quality food in the area and we wish you all the best in your new venture.
