Review of Princess Ico

We booked on to a day trip. We were sold the trip on the basis that the boat would take us to one of the beaches where we could swim etc.

The boat picked us up (we had to wait a while to board whilst it was refuelled) and we then headed out to sea and hugged the coast line. After about 15 minutes we then turned around and went the other way for another 25 minutes where we stopped. This was some way off the beach and whilst we could swim if we wanted to, there was no easy way of getting to the beach.

The boat provided snorkelling kit (for a 10 Euro deposit) and banana boat rides (for 2 Euros a person). We were probably at anchor for 2.5 hours.

The 'glass bottom' of the boat is also one of the hulls of the boat, meaning that it was really only possible to see about 2m under the water from the boat.

The food provided was fried chicken wings, chips and salad. There was beer and sangrea on tap; as well as non-alcoholic drinks from the 2l bottles you get in a supermarket.

The trip cost 40 Euros per adult which, for what we were given, was a bit steep. The main saving grace was that it was not very busy, so there was plenty of room.

10 of us booked to go from Lanzarote over to Fuerteventura at a cost of €28 from portal del carmen we where told the fred Olson ferry was not available trip but we would be on the walk on express ferry

Please if you get sea sick DO NOT USE THIS FERRY - make sure you get the fred olson roll on ferry.

This is a small catamaran and its a rough crossing ... we went across on a Wednesdays sailing in the 9.30am sailing and back on the 17.30

You get lots of motion on this craft and its a rough sailing across most passengers screaming and being sick. AVOID

What a con, A 7 hour trip where most of it is waiting for the boat to take you on the "adventure" was told and is advertised as a open bar but not open on the crossing over too lanzarote Pick up from hotel 9.50am actual time 10.15 dropped at the port and waited for the boat to turn up 45 mins ferry crossing 45 mins landed in lanzarote and was told to wonder around town for 40 mins until next boat arrived, sailed to papagayo beach which is 10 mins away and he took one hour to pass time on, you then get told if you go to the beach you cant do the watersports i.e snorkelling and on a floating mattress or a banana boat " 2 euro charge per person" 1 x8 seat banana boat 130 people having a go.. more waiting around but the icing on the cake was lunch bearing in mind we paid 130 euros for 3 of us was Chicken wings and chips with a bit of salad none of which we liked but there are no other options so please avoid it

We went on this trip as a family of five, what an amazing day out for all the family, Our teenage boys and nine year old daughter are still ranting and raving about the experience, it was an all day all-inclusive excursion. Fun filled and definitely packed with adventure. The boat anchored & the kids as well as the adults had so much fun banana boating, kayaking and sliding down a slide into the sea, life jackets were provided. Kids loved every minute. The food provided was chicken wings, chips, salad & a choice of bread rolls. Debbie the on board entertainer was excellent, quirky bubbly and ready to party, the kids loved her friendly attitude, nothing was to much trouble. This excursion is a must, a fun filled adventure for all ages.

Loved the boat trip from Corralejo to Playa Blanca. The sea was a little choppy but don't let that put you off. It's on about 40 mins.
