I go back there every time I visit, usually at least twice in the week, it's the best.
Corralejo doesn't cater much for anyone with refined tastes in food, pile it high cheap and quick is the way in most of the restaurants.

Caracoles is a brilliant exception to this rule, their desserts aren't special but the Swiss-Spanish fusion tapas dishes are fabulous, and it's not that expensive, two hungry surfers struggled to eat more than four, so with a bottle of wine you're looking at around 22-24 Euros per head, and the lovely multilingual Swiss lady who runs it is very charming as well.
They'd make a fortune in a snooty "foody" city, but I hope they don't leave!

This was our second visit to Caracoles, the first time was ten years ago,& it is still fantastic.
We found it rather expensive. This restaurant is definatley a place to dine for a special occasion.
We went with friends & we ordered 8 dishes each one was cooked to perfection.
Sylvia was the perfect host & advised us on all of the dishes.
Well worth the money for the chefs expertise.

We managed to catch this restaurant open during our second week, shame it was closed before because the food was excellent and we would have returned.
It is a tapas style service but after you choose they serve individually adding to the overall quality.
Very good service from the lady owner and different mix of food which as is on chalk board allowing changes.
Try to visit them as it was a highlight of the dining part of our hols.

We have been holidaying in corralejo for 3 years and always go back here every time. We went twice during our holiday in September, would have gone more but they were closed twice when we went. It's owned by a French couple and the tapas style food is amazing. over the 2 nights we tried the scallops with black pudding, sole wraped in parmasen, spicy vegetables with chicken, prawns with cheese and spinach, salmon on a potatoe rosti, spicy prawn risotto (this was the best risotto I ever tried), snails and goats cheese with honey. Each dish is around 7 euros. The menu is in French on the blackboard but the lady will go through it in English. Each time we go here its very quiet and sometimes we were the only people in there which is very sad. Not sure why this is as its location is very central just off the main music square, maybe people walk by and see its empty and it puts them off trying it, the place inside is basic but the good cannot be faulted at all. The food is cooked in an open plan kitchen and they take pride in appearance. I just can't understand why a huge steakhouse around the corner is so busy when this place is empty. Please people give it a go, you will not be disappointed. We can't wait to go back next year.

Caracoles is a fantastic restaurant. All meals are written on a chalk board and explained to you by one of the owners, the food is cooked fresh to your order. The tapas style menu is great meaning you can have as much or little as you like. The meat fish etc is high quality and the choice is varied and innovative
Don't miss it when you are in corralejo you won't be disappointed
