It doesn't look much from the outside, but the food is fantastic. Especially the pizza's which are all made fresh while you wait. I would recommend the chicken tikka pizza - delicious!

After reading about the Casbah we decided to visit and check out the food. We were not dissapointed. It's a small cafe Restaraunt with about five or six tables in the old town, there is nothing pretentious about this place with no fancy tables or someone trying to haul you in off the street. The chef and owner was also the waiter and greeted us without the pomp and ceremony that is sometimes so false in other establishments. He was very friendly and took his time to explain what was on the menu without coercing you into any dish. The menu is not extensive but what you get is actually cooked to order and prepared perfectly. We had two starters of garlic mushrooms and garlic bread which were both to die for after which he had a Cajun chicken dish which outside of New Orleans I'd say was the best I'd tasted. To top it off a Faustina Rioja as the house red was perfect. There was was a few people at other tables just chilling out and really relaxing. Considering so few tables we were not rushed and the chef came over and talked to us for a while and was a very genuine guy who loves his job and you can see he works hard for a living. All in all starters, main course and a bottle of wine for two came in at only €33. You can't beat that for good food and a chilled out atmosphere anywhere else. Rememer no bells and whistles here just really excellent food. Would I reccomend it?? I'm going back again!

Just returned from a week in Corralejo during which we tried many different restaurants, the best being the Casbah, we ordered 2 fillet steaks the previous day (24 hours notice required) as the steaks are bought to order. Our steaks we the best we have eaten, unfortunatly this was our last night or we would have returned to try the home made lasagne and the burgers. Mike the owner and chef is easy to talk to and will give you advice on other good places to eat and drink. My wife could not resist having a sweet and she thoroughly enjoyed the toffe and banana pancakes with ice cream.
Do not leave this to the last night as you will want to return..
