“Nice complex”
Reviewed January 28, 2013

It is very nice complex and probably one of the bests at Fuerteventura. The service is really good. Breakfast is much better than expected, large choice and fresh food. Good coffee, many sorts of juice but the quality of juice poor. Service at breakfast is excellent!
I would not recomend villas to the families with small children, but the groups of 6 people or big families will absolutely enjoy it.
It's well furnished, spacious and the pool, jacuzzi and the BBQ on the roof will please everybody.
It is clean, except the walls but nothing dramatic. Privacy at the pool garanteed!
For the hitted pool youd should know that it takes 48 hours to heat it, so ask in advance, before your arrival.
Supermarket is walking distance but the quality of the food (in general at all island) is horrible There is no organic food and brands are difficult to find.
For any outside activity you need a car. But that is really cheap on Canary Islands.
It is very windy (all the island) but there is much more sun at the South of the island.

Reviewed January 11, 2013

We stayed at Bahiazul in November 2012. Had booked for three weeks, but left after three days, as we found it was not at all suitable for us. We have a one year old child, and as bedrooms are not interconnected, but all have separate doors leading out to the (unlocked) back yard, we could not let our child sleep in a separate room. He sleeps poorly when in the same room as us, so the three nights that we did stay were awful. The pool looked very nice on photos we saw before booking. In fact it had flaky paint, was dirty, and even with heating felt too cold to swim in. The pool area was shady most of the day, as the walls around are quite high, and with the strong winds, swimming was not very tempting. The villa was not equipped for cooking your own meals, even though we asked in advance if this was an option. With a small child, going out in the evenings is not really an option, so we wanted to cook out own dinners. Without children, that would have been fine, but for us this was a big problem. The kitchen only had a small "toaster oven", there was no cutting board, no ladle, no whisk etc. We tried ordering food from the reataurant one night. They were very sweet and delivered the food at our villa. However, the rump steaks that they recommended were unchewable. We had to throw them away and have bread instead.

On our first day we were promised that someone would come and show us how everything in the villa worked. They never showed up. That might have solved some of our issues though. The jacuzzi was filled with stinking, yellow water when we arrived. We tried turning it on, but the smell was so awful, we couldn´t go near it without feeling sick. However, on our last day, to our surprise, the water was suddenly clear. Obviously, leaving it on for some time had cleaned it up, but as we were not informed about this, we thought we couldn´t use it.

The villas may be differently maintained, so I realize this may not be the case for all the villas. However, I would personally not have chosen the area either. It is quite far away from the beaches, you have to drive. The area consist of all villas, no park or pool or anywhere to stay outside if you want to venture outside your own villa.

And the last drop - our child had been getting som mosquito bites (we thought) while staying at the villa. But as we removed our sheets from the baby cot (proved by Bahiazul reception) when we were packing to leave, we found bed bugs in the baby cot. We were very happy to leave, and ended up going to Gran Canaria by ferry instead. It was much less windy, so we could actually go to the beach there.

Dear GladReisende79,

We are deeply concerned to know that we didn’t fulfil your expectations during your stay last year.

We offer you our most sincere apologies and we would like you know that since your stay, we made substantial changes in the villas facilities with the aim to satisfy with our client’s expectations. Among other improvements, we have villas suitable for families with young children, where bedrooms are connected through the living room.

We would be very pleased if you would have the chance to meet the new Bahiazul Villas & Club so you could check it yourself.

Sincerely,
Sven Tobback

TU OPINION : We have stayed in the complex a few months ago, and to be honest, is was a perfect holiday for us. Instructions on how to arrive at the villa where detailed, so getting lost wasn't possible. And when we arrived, Pascal and Nicole gave us an excellent tour around the park and the house with exact instructions on how to use everything.
The villa was beautiful and very stylish, just like it was showed on the internet. And all the service given at the complex were really good.
The heated pool and jacuzzi where great (32ºC) , a real pleasure even for a midnight swim. If it was windy, it was a bit chilly at the roofterrace at night (in september). We usually stayed in hotels on our holidays and this was the first time we did something diferent but for sure not the last. You need a car to get to town or to go to the beach. or if you want to see something of the island. There is a good supermarket (Mercadona) minutes from the villa.
And if you want to go out for lunch or dinner, there are a lot of restaurant in town and prices are really good (it's cheaper as the spanish mainland)
We don't know about the nightlife in Corralejo as it is not our thing, but plenty of bars to do a mojito.
We would like to thank Cesar, Pascal and Nicole for a perfect holiday.

Room Tip: I cannot recommend any other villa but Romana that I booked directly with Cesar Fernandez

This was our second stay here and had booked Villa Romana again.

On arrival we were met by Pascal who was really friendly, he told us the villa we had booked was being updated and Katis Villa's had allocated us another Villa 9.12, we were fine with this as the villas all pretty much are the same.

The villa was just as expected, clean, bright, spacious and well presented. Fantastic!

Unfortunately while we were there a launderette of some sort was being built - directly attached to our villa!!!!! I mentioned to Pascal that I wasn't too happy as the builders were looking directly into our pool / villa and we didn't have any privacy. He assured me it was only for a few days and would be done by the following afternoon.I thought this would be ok so thanked him and decided no spend our first few days at the beach instead.

3 days later the building works were still going on, banging, drilling, hammering and all from 7.30am everyday, on this particular day the debris came flying over the wall and was splashing into our pool, after about an hour the pool was covered in small volcanic rocks from the other wall and we couldn't go in it. I had to ask twice to have the pool cleaned so we could use it. Not happy.

The building works went on the full duration of our stay everyday from 7.30am except Sundays. I am really disappointed there was no offer of compensation, or an apology.

We had to spend most of our days away from the villa and sunbathing was not exactly private!!!

I don't usually complain and feel bad about writing this but it really annoyed me.

Another gripe was the the rooftop Jacuzzi was freezing, we couldn't use it. :-(

These villas are genuinely fab and I think we have been really unlucky this year but its heartbreaking when you spend over £1000 for 10 days relaxation and get only 2!!

Great holiday but a few big disappointments!

We had a great stay in this villa, Nicole was very helpfull and Pascal as well. The lights of the pool did not work, but because we had to make some excellent pictures, we asked for a repair. Within 1 hour the lights were fixed and the foto's were awesome.
The only problem of the villa was that we had to go home again. We wanted to stay.

We went in August with my wife and kids abd we are really liked. The villas are spacious all roons have provate bathroom, very comfortable. The private pool is very clean abd not very cheap.

I was with my children and the only access to the rooms is by the pool but the dorra were blocked and I was quiet. The villas and resort are very clean and there are hardly any cars as kids bikes can go without problem.

The internet worked fine but as stress that should improve the offer for vegetarians, we miss more variety of vegetables or dishes. Otherwisr it was a perfect stay and repeat for sure! :)

I stayed in this complex last week and had booked directly through their website www.bahiazul.com
Very smooth comunication and very profesional in the way they respond your emails. No question is too much for them, they will answer all your questions and needs.
We booked a Delux Villa with the jacuzzi in the pool and it was absolutely stunning!!
Nice furniture and well maintained. Cleaning of the villa was spotless. Big thanks to the cleaning staff.
The breakfast was included in the price and eventhough it is not a big buffet, there is enough choice (fresh fruit, croissants, ham & cheese, coffee, tea, etc.). The waiters ask you how you want the eggs and they are done on the spot the way you order them.
The supermarket just outside of the complex has everything you need, but if you want to go into Corralejo or to the beach it is advisable to rent a car. Reception staff took care of that which meant we just had to pick it up at the airport upon our arrival (thank you guys).
If you are looking for a nice place to relax from the stress at work this is defitively the place to go to. I highly recommend this place to everyone.
I will definitively to Bahíazul !!
