We stayed in the Erika apartments just for a short break and we couldn´t complain. The complex itself is locked after 2pm making the it secure as you need a key to come in and out of the gate. On arrival we were greeted by the reception staff very friendly and he even helped us with our case to the room. When we checked in they gave us some information about the resort etc. During our stay they always greeted us with a smile and good morning when we walked past. The complex was very clean and well looked after. The cleaners were friendly too and always made a point of saying hello. The apartment was nice, had a large balcony with sunbeds and table and chairs. inside there was a flat screen tv all aminities that you needed for a self catering holiday and the best bit was the free air con!!! Beds were very comfy too.
The complex is a 2 min walk to the main street of corralejo and less than a minute away from the beach. There is a bar opposite called waikiki, however during our stayed never hear any noise during the evenings and night time. Cant rate the pool as we didnt use it however there were people around it and also using the sun terrace at the top of the reception with great views.
Very good location and good complex.

So, we booked an apartment in this development based on the fantastic reviews of other Trip Advisor users.

Our stay here was for 9 nights following a 7 night stay at the fantastic Villa Carrabella offered by the Quiksilver surf school.

The primary thing to note about Apartmentos Erika is the location. If you are choosing to stay in Corralejo for the bars, cafes and restaurants then this development is placed perfectly. You are also only about 20m from Waikiki beach.

We booked a Sea View room after reading the recommendation of another Trip Advisor user however upon finding our room we realised that most of the 1st floor rooms have an extremely small terrace, so small, in fact, that you cannot fit a sun lounger on it. Additionally, the Sea View is hardly breath taking- your primary view is actually of the dusty and rusty roof of the dive centre. So, all in all, the advice we followed regarding room selection was very poor. The ground floor rooms have a large terrace with table, chairs and room for 2- 4 sun loungers. This terrace also opens straight onto the pool area so that you can pop in and out of your apartment, sun bathe and swim. This was really what we had wanted to do so that my wife could sun bathe whilst I worked (wrote). We did speak to the manager about moving to a ground floor room but nothing could be done as the apartments were full. At the end of the day though we got the room we booked and this was not the fault of the hotel/ apartments. Moral of the story- be careful what advice you follow from these (TripAdvisor) reviews!

Readdressing the location of the apartments it is definitely worth pointing out that they are approximately 10m from Waikiki Beach Bar, restaurant and night club, the main night club in Corralejo. The noise from this is only as you might expect from staying in the middle of the resort. With the double glazed doors closed you cannot hear it at all. However, with air conditioning at an extra charge it was necessary to keep the doors open during the night so as to try and stay cool in the night time low of 22 degrees. This meant that noise from Waikiki and Corner Rock could be heard all night. It was especially bad at around 4 am when everyone left Waikiki. To this end it may also be worth considering who else might be staying in the apartments as we had neighbours that clearly thought they had gone to nearby Tenerife and started partying at around 10.30pm and finished at around 5am on our first 3 nights. We had to ask them to turn their music down at about 1am on a night when we were trying to do a self catering night a it was drowning out our own music and TV.

The apartments are self catering and this was a big draw when booking. The kitchen has 2 electric hobs, microwave, kettle, sink and coffee maker as well as a good selection of pots, pans, crockery and cutlery. Having no oven meant that we could not truly self cater but the hobs were fine for frying and boiling.

The apartments were cleaned on 7 of the 9 days we were there and we were generally very impressed with the cleanliness of the grounds, pool, terrace and apartment. About 5 days in we did notice a lot of very small weevil type bugs starting to appear about the kitchen benches (where we had to store food due to no cupboards that weren't full of crockery etc...). Also, on our seventh night we intended to cook and eat in the apartment but on stepping onto the small terrace at around 8pm we discovered 6 -8 cockroaches running around. These were the first we had seen on the Island in 2 weeks. That night we also had 4 cockroaches in the bathroom. The apartment was thoroughly cleaned the next day and we saw no more cockroaches, other than the odd one on the terrace, during our stay.

We found the owners very personable. They had tried very hard to swap our room when we asked and always said "hola!" With a friendly smile as we headed out each morning or afternoon.

The pool is bigger than it seems in pictures and very well looked after. The poolside toilet and shower are immaculate. The elevated sun terrace is also very nice and has a view of Los Lobos Island.

Wifi was always accessible and offered enough bandwidth to download podcasts and stream YouTube videos.

The television channel selection was very broad and the television could be set to Spanish or English.

The safe was nice and spacey. Large enough to fit a SLR camera, iPad, wallets etc...

We found our room to be very spacey and clean. Two twin beds rather than a double was a minor annoyance but the reflective blackout curtains were a revelation for keeping the apartment cool.

Transfers to and from the airport are not included which is worth noting as it is 40euro one way in a taxi.

All in all, very decent apartments in a lively part of town. They have their faults but offer good value for money. Free air conditioning and better cooking facilities would have elevated our rating.

Room Tip: Sea view rooms have a tiny terrace. Ground floor rooms have a far more functional terrace.

The location was perfect right beside the beech and the owners were so nice they could never do enough to help. Every day when we had come back to the apartment it was clean and we had fresh towels. It was really quiet even though there is a bar across the road but maybe it was because the season wasn't in full swing just yet. Can't recommend enough we will definitely be back :)

Stayed here with 3 friends, booked a 2 bedroom apartment (9) & it was perfect. We had a balcony with table & chairs off the living room And a terrace with 4 loungers, another small table & chairs & a clothes dryer off one of the bedrooms. It was perfect & such a fab location for beach & main strip. Out gates & left, 30 seconds to beach, out gates & right, 2 minutes to main strip. Cleaners in every day but one. Hair dryer provided when we asked (free). Across the road is a night club called Wikiki, now I am a light sleeper but hardly heard a thing which was a blessing. Locked entrance which you have your own key (only needed after 2pm) for so added security. Can't fault this place. Would def stay here again if came back.

My partner and I stayed here for a second time and enjoyed it even better than the first!! It's well located for the beach, the shops and the entertainment. The owners are so friendly and approachable and nothing is too much trouble. It's quite with a nice small pool and terrace bathing. In fact we like it so much we have booked for both July and September 2013. We continue to test the water with a view to retirement here.

Room Tip: We always stay in room 4 ground floor which is in the middle of the apartments.

Me and my friends (all female) aged between 29-42 just returned from a weeks stay at these apartments. We booked the 2 bed-room apartment (number 9) and it was a brilliant stay! Prior to us going, I had several emails with the owner (Maurizio) who was lovely and happy to help. We were able to borrow a hairdryer as well so we didn't have to take one. Basically, don't be afraid to ask the owners to help out...if they can do it they will. All the staff were nice and helpful. The room (although not huge) was big enough for the 4 of us and very clean. This was my 3rd time to Corralejo and I'd be more than happy to stay here again. Close to the beach and the to centre drive of the town. As others have said, teh Waikki bar is across the road but you don't really hear much from it. By the way, they make the best Strawberry Daiquiri's too. Cheapest private transfer we found was with Travel Republic, costing £56 for return transfer for the 4 of us. It's only 35 min journey up the coast and a beautiful drive.
too. Also, if you get the chance...jump on a bus and go to other side of island to El Cotillo. If you go through the village there are the most amazing small lagoon beaches...very quiet! Also, drinks are not cheap...standard mixer is minimum 5 euros...check out Paddy's Irish Pub who give extremely generous measures!! Also for food, we can recommend El Torro and Aberdeen Angus Steakhouse.

When we turned up we were allocated apartment number 1 and my heart sank a little as I thought we may have noise from reception/the gate/Waikiki bar near by but we didn't hear a thing, and infact I think it was to our advantage to be where we were (we could talk to people in the pool area!!!)

I would have no hesitation on recommending these apartments, and would definitely use them again) and there is not much that I can add to the reviews before mine, only to add that holiday makers need to bring their own travel hairdryer or iron if required and also a dishcloth and a small bottle of washing up liquid would be handy (save buying in resort!)
