This is a good place for a quiet break as there are only a dozen rooms in a building with many terraces and an outdoor pool. Views from the hotel reach up to Valldemossa and the mountains and down the valley.
Decoration and furnishings are contemporary and understated. The setting is very tranquil and there is plenty of parking. I don't think this place would be good for young children as the clientele are looking for peace and quiet!
We ate in the restaurant twice; one meal was very good whilst another was less so. A vegetarian cous-cous came without vegetables so I would skip the vegetarian options. (There are a few quite decent places to eat in the village above the hotel anyway)

Room Tip: Splash out on a junior suite perhaps.

An ugly building with a nice view of a very touristically invaded (and therefore polluted) town, a so-so restaurant, a not-so-clean hotel, inconvenient car parking arrangement, pretentious service, we did not appreciate this place at all.

Room Tip: Ask Valdemossa view, the other side is uninteresting

We stayed here for a week in August as a last minute getaway. I can't praise the hotel highly enough. Small, quiet, relaxing, great food and helpful staff.

Only half an hour by taxi from the airport and a world away from the 'bucket and spade' resorts in other parts of the island. Beautiful rustic buildings, grounds and views of the mountains. Lots of steps around the hotel but there is a lift for the less able or if carrying luggage.

It was only 5 minutes walk into Valdemossa to visit some of the attractions and we also ate in several of the restaurants there for a bit of variety. By chance it was the Valdemossa Chopin festival so we also managed to take in a couple of concerts.

As we were only there for a week we didn't even hire a car and on the one day we left the village took a taxi down to the port and the bus back.

I can unhesitatingly recommend this hotel if you are looking for a complete rest and we are very likely to return.

My second visit.

As an ex hotelier I very much appreciate what they are doing here. Excellent staff and a genuine attempt to listen to feedback. Nowhere is perfect but they certainly want it to be.

We loved everything about this beautiful hotel and felt the team running it were superb.

This was our second stay at the hotel and it was lovely to return. The location is wonderful and the views outstanding. The staff are all very friendly and helpful - and the chef is excellent. I can heartily recommend the duck tortellini.

One very small point is the cleaning fluid used to clean the bathrooms is a little strong and not that nice. We did have to keep opening the room door to air the room but this in no way detracted from the huge enjoyment we had from our stay.

Another thing to perhaps mention is that having breakfast on the terrace does seem to involve sharing your table with a very insistent group of wasps. We actually retreated inside on one morning to avoid them. I mention this only in case other travellers have problems with wasps.

Very much looking forward to returning again to this lovely hotel.
