“Lovely little hotel”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 6, 2010

Fabulous little place. Very helpful and pleasant owners - supportive, gave good advice about the local area, but not at all pushy.

The rooms themselves are a little on the simple side - but in a hot weather summer, that would be perfectly fine, you would not want more. We had Room 1 (with its own terrace), so we spent the afternoons sitting in the sun, staring down the valley, drinking a bottle of wine.

There is a very nice communal terrace, a pretty, secluded little garden, and lots of comfy squashy sofas in the sitting areas. But if you can splash ouit a little, get one of the few rooms with their own terrace and you will have a very relaxing holiday.

Es Petit Hotel is simply the BEST! The owners are super caring regarding your every need, question, etc. The views are out of this world. The setting is SUPERB! The price is unbelievable! The owners have paid extra special attention to the slightest details. Try to book one of the two rooms with a veranda. Valledemossa is a unique stone village with lots of restaurants, shops, and the Monastery. It is a village you will never forget once you've been there.

The couple who own the hotel is very friendly and helpful. My husband and I felt very welcome. For instance the advice he gave us on local restaurants was excellent and would have been hard to find.

We had a room without a terrace which was ok since we did not spend too much time at the hotel. The room was moderate size, still enough space to lay down two suitcases, yellow walls, matress hard enough to be comfortable for us.The bathroom appeared to be recently renovated; ours had a huge bathtub, enough space for all toiletries. Everything perfectly clean.
There is a minibar in the room on top of which is a tiny TV (this is the only thing that should be improved.)

We especially liked the breakfast (huge selection of various cheeses, Serrano bacon, cake, fresh fruit, freshly squeezed orange juice etc.) which we could eat at the beautiful terrace with a look as far as Palma and the sea.

This is a good place for people who like hiking and a romantic surrounding like the little town of Valldemossa.

  • Liked — Attitude and personality of owners; breakfast
  • Disliked — tiny TV in room

We spent 3 nights here: rooms are nice, well furnished, with an astonishing view (ok, we were lucky with the weather too, but the view is so great!!!).
The owners are really nice and helpful: we were there visiting my sister that moved from Italy to Valdemossa, and they were kind enough to arrange on both Saturday and Sunday a brunch for all my family members (even if not staying at the hotel) and made us paying very so little...a nice touch!
The property is beatifully restored, everything is so nice, and they're located right in the middle of the village: there is no parking at the hotel, but it's very easy to find one near by for free.
I'm not quite in love with Valdemossa itself (altought is a nicely restored ancient village, it is more a post-card village that get totally desert in the evening when tourist buses leaves, and there is no place where to have a coffe or eat something) but the hotel made our stay pleasant enough, so it was not only a "family duty" thing...
... I truly recommend it.

  • Liked — The breakfast and the view from the room !!!
  • Disliked — nothing

I will join all the positive remarks on “Es Petit Hotel de Valldemossa”. Senor & Senorita that runs the hotel makes a big effort to make your stay to a nice time. When we did arrive we get the key to the front door, and we could come and go as we wanted. Beautiful restored house with a rustic charm makes it a good time. Nice bath and big towels are correct as one other here had written.
When we wake up we just open the green doors on the windows from the bed and enjoy the view and the fresh air, in totally silence except a rooster and the old church bell that gives the same sound as in old mafia movies.
A cozy breakfast served at the terrace gives a good start at the day. The small hotel also had elevator so for handicapped people it shall be good.

I did read a review that say the town was closed at a Sunday. We were there at Saturday and did get ready to go out for some food and wine. Everything was closed at 21 and we did find a restaurant/bakery that did have a birthday party and did have open. So this is a place only for relax and romantic in the rooms in the evenings I believe, especially out of season.

  • Liked — Friendly owners, quiet and nice view.
  • Disliked — Nothing...

We have just returned from this 8 bed B & B Hotel in the heart of Valldemossa, the highest town in Majorca amd once famous for the stay of Chopin and George Sand.
The Hotel is in a wonderful position with views from the superior bedrooms down the valley with Palma and the sea in the distance.
The breakfast is first class with cold meats and fruits, breads and cakes.
Gonzalo and Margarita gain great pleasure in keeping their guests happy and content even providing chocolates and fresh flowers in the bedrooms.
