OK so the drive to reach the port is narrow, steep and not for the faint hearted, or for those in a large car. But when you get down to the port, then Es Port is the only restaurant in town. The fish choices were superb, Fresh, expertly cooked, and presented by a friendly welcoming staff. Highly recommended.

Don't be afraid of the road! not life threatening at all, just a little narrow in parts and steep but it's actually a beautiful ride you'll take to get to the quaint Port and the food is very good and not overpriced! enjoy!

A real treat at the seaside at this lovely restaurant, est 1969. Based in Sa Marina, a former tiny fishermen village near Valldemossa, Es Port will offer one of the best paellas -and seafood in general- in the whole island. The scenery provided by the beach a stone's throw away and the mountains that completely, shell-like surround the area add in to the excellent food - if your stomach was not upset by the steeply winding, incredibly narrow mountain road that leads to the place (amazing coastal landscapes to be enjoyed from a couple of posts down the hill). As a result, it tends to get seriously crowded on summer weekends, which may eventually pose some car parking challenges - try to arrive well in time for your booking. Finally, if you're a bit of a mythomaniac, you may spot the entrance to the Douglases' villa in the island when driving down.

Getting to this restaurant is a bit of a challenge … you'll drive 5km on a really really narrow street which poses some challanges when two cars want to pass each other. Parking can be another challange, because there are very limited parking lots.

But the drive pays off, Es Port is a really nice romantic restaurant with a nice terrace directly at the beach. The food is absolutely good and flawless - of course not a star cuisine but typical spanish food.

A really nice hidden gem.

It is quite a drive on a very narrow and winding road to get to this restaurant, but it is definitely worth it.

We had lunch at the terrace upstairs.

The food was excellent. We had the fish paella and a chocolate soufflé. It was delicious. With the coffee we also got a glass of local herb liquor from the house.

The service is excellent.
