“Better than before”
Reviewed July 13, 2013

Just returned from 14 days of relaxation at the Palmeras and the palce just keeps getting better.

Had a lovely flight over and due to previous frustration with the transfer coach we learnt out lesson and got a private taxi, worth every penny, was at the hotel a full 1 hour 30 minutes before the coach arrived with the other guests on our flight.

Check in was fast and easy and was down having lunch with a cold beer in no time, was nice to be recognised as repeat customers and even had a nice room upgrade with a sun terrace which got sun all day long without the early morning scramble for sun loungers. This is the only disappointment for me with this holiday and it was the idiots placing their towels on the loungers at the crack of dawn, and for those of you wondering who tossed them in the pool...IT WAS ME..!!!

Paco, Jota, Mercedes, Kevin and Rikki at the bar are legendary and always have you in stitches and if you have some spare euro's please try Paco's love cocktail...you won't regret it.

the food in the restaurant was always plentiful and varied and I always felt a little greedy going up for seconds on the paella but hey I am on holiday.

All in all a good holiday, and as this was our third time in 2 years...they must be doing something right.

Room Tip: Email the hotel with your preferences, quieter rooms are higher up and rooms with more sun are towar...

We stayed as a family , 15 to 60s for two weeks , late May into June, and enjoyed it very much. The staff couldn't do enough to keep you happy, as they say ," they want people to return ". The food was great, we ate far too much, but hey we were on holiday ! Drinks were fine. Wine ,beer and soft drinks were self service ,as were tea & coffee . Our rooms were in Block A . Lovely, with a separate bedroom, flat screen TV, A new modern bathroom with walk in shower

We got the sun afternoon until late, but it was extremely hot out on the balcony, so depends what you like. Block C gets the sun in the morning.

Due to the position of the hotel, part of the pool is in shade, part of the day, so we would go down to the beach after lunch , and walk a while, very refreshing. I believe towels placed down before 9 are being removed now. This seems a good idea , we spent many an early morning with a brew, watching people scurrying about at 7am to bag their favourite beds ! Some towels had even been laid out the night before...

Sa Coma is a nice area , but small. Cala Millor is not far , you can hop on the little train for 4 euros return . Lots more shops there.

We really could have stayed longer, usually we are ready for home after 2 weeks , but we all loved our stay and will be back. Go and enjoy it x

Feel free to ask me anything.

Just returned from a week at this lovely hotel.
Checked in at 12 and room was ready. Reception staff are all very friendly and helpful.
We had a lovely room on the 7th floor in block B. A very large double bed. I believe there are not many doubles in the hotel. The room was large, flat screen television, fridge, tea and coffee, a safe and a lovely wet room type bathroom. The hair dryer in the bathroom was quite good. The room only had the sun in the mornings but that was good as the room was slightly cooler in the evenings.
The air con was excellent in the room and very quiet too. Ideal for sleeping.
The food was excellent for all meals. Lunch could be taken in the pool snack bar which had plenty of choice. The main restaurant offered much more choice, well too much really!!
The evenings meals were very good too. Show cooking, Chinese/stir fry and so much more.
The desserts were wonderful. I have been to so many all inclusive hotels now but have never seen desserts like this in Spain or the Canaries. They were so well presented and the effort that must go into making them on such a large scale is amazing.
You will be given a invitation to the Italian restaurant for 1 evening. This was a very nice change. Waiter service for drinks but then buffet for all the other courses. You can order a pizza to be made for you as there is no pizza on the buffet. This was a lovely relaxed evening.
There is one thing that would be nice at this hotel and that is to be served your coffee or tea at breakfast and also to be served drinks in the evening dining. It is 4 star and feel this would be better. The staff though were very good and work so hard. There is a lovely outside terrace area to eat and if you time it right is lovely to sit out. Inside the restaurant was air conditioned though and maybe better for some. The tables in the restaurant were nicely spaced out and never felt over busy.
There was lovely fresh fruit available all day in the snack bar and ice cream bars were available until midnight. Lovely ones too. Not just cheap ones!
For the people who like a very late snack ( even after all that food) there were sandwiches available at 11 till midnight. Never tried them but they did look dry.
The drinks available were good. Not many named brands but the local was ok. Self serve some drinks around the pool which is a good idea. My biggest gripe here though is that you cannot pour your own water and no bottles available. Really do think a water machine should be around the pool as this would take the pressure off the bar staff around the pool. They would re fill a empty bottle for you though. Slush also available but that also not self service.
The entertainment was outside near the pool area. Lovely to sit outside as the weather was still so lovely and warm late at night. The entertainment was very good overall. Mostly professional acts and the odd animation act. Arran the animation team leader was very good. I don't think he has been there long but he was so confident and looked like he really enjoyed doing his job.
The young lady who runs the kids club was also very good. Looked after the kids really well and all seemed to be enjoying it.
There was a lot of children in the hotel and it wasn't even school holiday times. But there were quiet areas if you wanted to be away from all the bustle.
There has been a lot of talk about the pool area and sun bed situation. Yes the pool area does not get the sun all day but there are enough sunbeds. On our first day the management put up a notice saying that any towels down before 9 will be removed. That next day only a few towels down and they did remove them. This is a fairer system for the later risers!. For us we went to breakfast at 8 then put the towels down on our favourite quite spot, near the back door and then sat there till 9. We had a little walk and came back to our beds. Think this decision from the management will be a good move as many previous reviews did moan about that.
The manager himself was often seen around the hotel. He seemed very friendly and always said hello to everyone. Also he was kind enough to open the evening bar area at 3pm (normally 6)
so all of us tennis fans could see Andy Murray WIN Wimbledon! What a great afternoon and good atmosphere in the bar.
A special mention to the evening bar staff. Mercedes, Chelo, Paco and Francessco who all worked so hard with always a smile on their faces.
Overall this is a very good 4* and would stay again.

Everyone has said it all, fantastic hotel, amazing rooms, great location, amazing beach. Must admit on par with most 5 star hotels.
Lovely flat promenade, walks in both directions to next resorts. Turn right for S'illot beautiful Spanish area.
Go and have a great holiday!

Just come back from 11 night stay. Hotel is lovely reception staff was very helpful. Rooms very big and lovely bathrooms. Pool was smaller in real life sunbeds where quite close together, we did have to leave our beds by 4 pm as the sun would go round the building but not too much of an issue as we went to the beach. Thought the hotel bringing in the no towels before 9 am was a good idea as having to save sunbeds at 6am! Italian night was really nice food was brilliant if you have a sweet tooth you will love it so many desserts. Only problem was finding food some nights for my 4 year old should have a small section for children. A big big mention to the brilliant Imke in kids club my daughter loved her she is brilliant with the children and to Aaron both did a brill job. Sa coma isn't one of the best resorts I've been too quite small not a lot of bars, but nice enough to walk off your dinner.

We have just got back from a week away at this lovely hotel! I went with my husband,11 year old daughter, our friends with there 4 year old daughter, we all had a great time!!!
Our rooms where so clean and modern, we had a double bed with sliding doors and my daughter was in the front room with the tv! The bathroom was so big and modern with a walk in shower.
It was cleaned every day with fresh towels!
The food in the restaurant was great lots to choose from I just wanted eveything though so not so good on the waistline!! There was always something to eat all day!!!!
The staff where so friendly best I've ever seen in lots of hotels I've been to!! Special mention to Imka from the kids club who my friends little girl loved and Alba from the resturant 2!
The pool was lovely a little cold we had no proplem getting a sunbed as they have just put a new policy up that any towels will be removed before 9am!
We went to the beach a few times which was nice but the water was so cold!! We did think the resort was not that great but you can walk to s'llot which is very nice and for one night we had dinner out at a lovely restaurant called onkel Willy its on the top of the cliff, lovely paella!!
So if you want a fantastic hotel do not hesitate book it!!!

Spent a week in the Las Palmeras in June this year, food was delicious and the room was not only stylish and spacious it was very clean and plenty of storage space.
Tv has loads of English channels for children and adults!
We booked the twin delux with jacuzzi on balcony and 3 loungers, absolutely amazing lying on privacy of own balcony with a tub to cool off in!
Food was lovely and there was always something on the menu to accommodate the family - the desserts were like 'works of art'
Staff were more than helpful and very polite, Clare and co on reception were more than kind and the waitresses and waiters were fantastic.
Hotel is right on the beach with a few shops and restaurants close by!
Overall a great holiday and brilliant value for money, its so good we have booked to go back July 2013! So in a weeks time we are off again!
