“cloudy island..”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 10, 2012

we stayed at these apartments from the 26th aug to the 6th of september. We were given a room on the 4th floor facing the pool, our room was an average size, the walls are very thin and you can clearly hear your neighbours talking, laughing and moving chairs, taps running which can get very annoying. The rooms have a TV, air con (which you cant control its controlled by the hotel, not very cold, there's a kitchenette with kettle, microwave, fridge/freezer etc.. there is also no locks on the toilet or bedroom doors. The lifts are quiet small, only for maximum 3 people, eating at the restaurant you need 80 euros for a family of 4 per night, dinner only! The pool could have more sunbeds around it rather than tables and chairs to accompany the 175 people who may want to use the pool, there is only about 40 chairs but lots of space - if you want to go to the pool early afternoon you would be very lucky to get any chairs and people do leave their towels on them. There is no entertainment there and can be very dull at night.

The island itself is very nice with its sandy beach (about 5 min walk from the apartments) and lovely blue sea, there is loads of shops just as short walk away however it is very expensive to buy gifts, clothes and souvenirs etc. all the shops are the same - rip off! The restaurants have some entertainment at night 1 or 2 have a different tribute at each night (quite good) difficult to find rice to eat - strange for Spain! also be ware of children riding electric scooters on pavements - I don't know how this is allowed or legal but be careful it can be very dangerous. The weather on the first few days we arrived was lovely however quite windy, in late Aug early sept the weather was awful, we came for 10 days and 4 were dreadful NO sun and it rained which was a shame, overall a nice holiday but i would definatley not come to Majorca again in late august or September.

Just got back from a weeks holiday. My partner and I stayed at the Paraiso in a one bed SC apartment. The hotel was really clean, our apartment was clean and spacious. The SC facilities were really good. The fridge was a good size which came in handy for storing large amounts of Sangria and San Miguel :-) The resort itself was really relaxing. The beach which was beautiful was a 2 min walk from the hotel.

If you are looking for a relaxing time away this is definitely the place to go.

As a family we really need an annual holiday to get away from the rigours of every day work, College and school grind. As a family we were really impressed by the Paraiso and the apartment was really spacious and we were allocated a 2nd floor apartment. Our room wasn't ready when we got there but Mario on reception allocated us a room that was ready. We upgraded to all inclusive and this was an additional 1900 euros which was well worth it. The restaurant was excellent and the service second to none. The bar service was excellent but the Bar snacks were a let down (Ham & Cheese, Ham, Cheese or salami sandwiches). The entertainment team was a bit of a disaster Bingo (to win a bag???) Music quiz where you had to run down and answer a question to win a cocktail (Which you get could anyway if you were on All inclusive). Tony L'amore was a highlight????? and the clown with his bell ringing was quite good in parts. During our stay the last 4 days were a bit of a damp squib as we had some rain and lots of clouds. Lots of depressed holiday makers and the entertainment team of 1 decided to play bingo again. Can't really call the one woman team members enthusiasm but even she must've been bored. And WHY NO WI-FI The hotel only had 2 PC's.
Thank you to all the staff for making this a pleasant 2 weeks for me and my family.

Just got back from a week in Sa Coma staying at the Paraiso and had a great time. We've previously stayed in Cala D'Or the previous two times we have been to Mallorca, which is a beautiful resort but the beaches there are so narrow and cramped. After a little research on Sa Coma we saw that the beach there was really big with soft sand and decided it looked good.

Following a stressful and unpleasant booking experience (nothing to do with the hotel but rather the OnTheBeach website) we arrived late at night and were greeted by a night receptionist full of character and fun who was great with the kids. Our room/apartment was a one bedroom affair with a separate lounge/kitchen and bathroom, and a balcony that overlooked the pool area and the beach. In fact, all rooms have a great view here as they all face the beach so you can't go far wrong. However, our room (and any ending in 01) had the added benefit of being at the end of the hotel so there were no other rooms/balconies between us and our view, our bedroom window also looked out over free space rather than into the corridor/walkway, and we had a bathroom view of the beach as well.

As we arrived late we had missed dinner but found food and drink waiting on the table in our room when we got up there - a really nice touch. The kitchen was really well stocked with more stuff than anyone could ever need on a weeks holiday I think. Previous aparthotels we've stayed at pale in comparison to the stuff we had to hand!!

However, other than making packed lunches to take to the beach we ate in the hotel restaurant. Breakfast lunch and dinner are buffet style with plenty of choice at all meals. My only criticism was that sometimes some of the meat dishes weren't cooked right through. This was often true of the breakfast sausages, and also of some of the evening dishes like chilli con carne. The good thing was that there were always lots of alternatives.

Entertainments, should you want it, was provided in the day and evening and the kids pretty much lived for the mini disco which was run by the fantastic Ania with the most wonderful sense of humour. Unfortunately for future travelers she left the day before we did to go back home. A shame as she was great. We didn't do any daytime entertainment stuff as we were always on the (fantastic) beach or in Palma, but I think she also ran that. Other evening entertainment varied day to day and was a pleasant enough way to spend the evening with little effort.

We hired a car twice whilst in resort and both times this was arranged through the hotel. I had a look around town before doing this and the rates were consistent so no reason not to use this service.

The town itself is okay...not as nice as Cala D'Or where we have previously been but good enough. The beach in Sa Coma though is great. If you've got kids then it's perfect as it shelves away really gently. Even on days where there were big waves the kids still had plenty of safe places to play in the water as you can go out a long way without getting too deep.

All in all a great week and I would definitely go back to the Paraiso. Recommended!!

Room Tip: Rooms ending in 01 are at the end of the hotel and have the bedroom windows facing out over clear sp...

Me, hubby and two teenage sons spent two weeks at the Paraiso and we were so impressed; and couldn't agree more with previous glowing reviews. From the moment we arrived we were looked after so very well. We were warmly welcomed at reception and our check in was swift and within minutes we were in our apartment on the 3rd floor, we were lucky enough to have a front facing room on the end on the building which were a little bit bigger that the others and benefitted from having side windows as well as the large patio doors leading on to the equally large balcony. Our room was lovely and clean, more that an adequate size for our party. Loads of towels and complimentary toiletries. We also benefiited from having a fridge, kettle and 2 ring hob (I think originaly the complex was all S/C). The bedroom was massive with loads of strorage space so all your clothes could be stored and you could hide your suitcases away for 2 weeks! We still had loads of empty drawers. The view from our balcony was breath taking. All the staff were very attentive, especially the bar boys (Gabriel, Dan, Victor, Javier) who were there in an instant if they saw you had an empty glass. During the day you could get whatever drinks you wanted, again with the same swift service. The buffet restaurant was beautifully laid out with many various delights. Food was very well cooked, always hot and depleted food trays were topped up very quickly. The food was lovely and enough selection to cater for all tastes; especially the desserts, very nice! We were always greeted by the ever smiling Carmen who again was always very attentive. The maids did a sterling job as did the army of cleaners who cleaned all around the pool and terrace areas every day from 7am, so everything was spotless for the first guest at the pool. During the day there were various activities to cater for young and older children and their parents. The animation was carried out by Ania who worked alone but still made sure the children had fun, I think she did a marvelous job; in the evening she would return to do the children's mini Disco, then would hold quizzes, competitions etc for the adults. On a few nights professional entertainers would take to the stage, we had Abba Tribute, Knife Throwing, Flamenco Dancers. Acrobats plus other singers; sounds a bit naff but the atmosphere was always happy and people did enjoy it! The Paraiso is small enough to give that personal touch but still has plenty to offer.
During our first week there were several German families there but all the children became friends despite the language barrier; the second week there many more English familes (maybe due to German school term times) and we made many new friends and our boys did too. The complex is safe and they often just went off to do their own thing, or nipped out to the local SPAR for sweets etc. The roads around the complex and Sa Coma in general are fairly quiet hence the amount of hired bikes, family for four bikes and scooters.
The swimming pool was just the right size for the amount of rooms and was never really overcrowded, plus you had the added bonus of sunbathing on the upper roof sun terrace, very quite and relaxing and just a few steps down to the pool to cool off. The traditional 'towels on sunbeds at dawn' wasn't too bad and there were more that enough sunloungers for everyone.
Another point is that we did not see any bugs of any kind in our rooms or in the complex as a whole; a friend advised that we take a plug-in Mosquito repellant but we didn't need it. Some beautiful butterflies about though!
The complex is located in a quiet little road, no loud bars about and the most you'll hear is the clip clop of the horse drawn carraiges or the odd coach dropping off some more lucky new guests.
We all agreed that the Paraiso ticked all the boxes and we would love to go back one day!
Thankyou to all the staff for making our holiday so enjoyable; we all loved it!

i stayed at these apartmetn with my husband, daughter and 18 month old grandaughter. The apartments were just the right size for our group. They were always kept clean and tidy, and considering as we stayed when the last two weeks in August and the weather was extremely hot, it was a bonus having the air conditioning on all the time. Can't say much about the food as we stayed self catering, but the meals always looked nice. What did surprise us was the attitude of some of the people who were all inclusive, who seemed to have the attitude "well i've paid for it so it's my right to have it, one particular occasion that showed this, was a man who got 4 glasses of water from the bar, and poured it into a bottle to take out with him. i know the reasons for paying for an all inclusive holiday, but to do that was bordering on ridiculus.
However, all in all, lovely place to stay, beach very close, and nice quiet family friendly resort.
Will be going back next year.

Room Tip: All rooms faced the pool all looked to have a good view.
