“Never disappointed by this hotel”
Reviewed June 7, 2014

Having been to this hotel many times with family members we were again made to feel really special by all members of staff. The staff are the biggest asset and Protur should be very proud of them. They are always friendly, very helpful and professional. Try and get Paco to dance! Some of the staff have been there since the hotel opened, which in itself speaks volumes. Mention ought to go a new member of staff, Martin, who is in charge of Animation. He was very good and enthusiastic and seemed to find it easy to encourage adults and children to join in the games. Well done.
Maintenance of the building and grounds is excellent - everything is very clean and tidy. Rooms on the 2nd floor give you a glimpse of the sea and a fine view of the pool. The choice and quality of food in the restaurant is fanastic as is the service. I gather this can not be said of the other restaurants you can go to if you are all inclusive, so best to stay at the Sa Coma Playa.
Our thanks go to Chej and all the staff for making this another enjoyable holiday. Thank you!

Just come back from weeks holiday with 8 other family members, including 7,6 and 1 year olds. Location great, a good selection of shops to walk around. The beach is less than ten minutes walk away pass the shops. Supermarket next to hotel and friendly, family resort. Hotel - amazing! It is part of a bigger complex, and defo the best one! Hotel itself is fab. All inclusive brill, food gorgeous and good selection. Drinks included bottle beer which u don't usually get on all inclusive! Entertainment at night cheesy but what's except. Good clean family entertainment. Pool lovely, spacious and very clean. Lots of activities to do but.......and here is the but.......all at safari park hotel......however u will see how this is a good thing! Safari park is busy, busy, busy! U be glad to get back to chill out in playa hotel. Safari only over the road . U can choose to visit restaurants at safari park as part of all inclusive....don't bother...food was awful! Playa is defo the quality one from food to everything! Tips - rooms ending 10-16 on all floors overlooking pool. Really nice. Pool not busy so it's nice there. Rooms ending 00-06 overlooking bar, so as u expect abit noisy at night. Suites on top floor are literally two rooms. If u got two kids prob worth upgrading esp. if one of children infant. Overall fab holiday will defo go back.mini bar in room updated free of charge daily. Spa amazing. Had full body massage

Room Tip: Overlooking pool highly recommended as pool quite. Rooms 110-116

We are really struggled with this review as it’s all been said in parts 1 and 2. How do you improve on perfection?

After seeing all the fantastic reviews for this hotel, ours included, ‘I think it’s fair to say our title ploy to keep this gem a secret (Parts 1 & 2) failed miserably. But all we’d say is “told you so”.
This was our 3rdth visit in May 2014 and again it was amazing, just like our previous visits.
From A to Z there is no hierarchy just people with different titles all with one thing in mind ‘to make your holiday the best you have ever had’. It says it all when you go out on trips and you can’t wait to get back to the hotel, it’s like going back to family.

Chej and Juan, the Managers, are fantastic, the Restaurant Manager and staff are a delight. Don’t take my word for it go and see for yourself how a ‘brilliant hotel’ should be and is run.

We have had an ongoing joke with Chej (one of the managers) about finding a fault at the hotel. One night I thought I had found the illusive ‘fault’ with this hotel, my coffee cup in the room had no handle - hot fingers - my wife informed me this was a designer feature. This hotel knows that they have the ‘big things’ right but the stupid little quirks of guests they could never guess. I mentioned the missing handles to Chej, as a throw away remark, on entering for our evening meal. By ‘Protur magic’, on returning to our room the cups had magically grown handles. I think maybe this was the hand of Chej - what made us laugh most was that the handles had been turned around so that we did not notice they had been changed until we used them, this is truly showing ‘attention to detail’ to please guests and is one of the reasons why we say it like visiting our family. Believe me this is how to get it right and to bring guests back again and again.

SPECIAL THANKS TO:

Obviously – Chej and Juan the Hotel Managers – Still even after our 3rd visit they are the most friendly and hardworking managers, with their guests interest and happiness at heart. No more to say, it’s all been said in our previous reviews, just a great big ‘THANK YOU’ again from both of us.

The desk staff are all brilliant especially Christina who was extremely helpful.
Manuel at the outside bar, does this guy ever stop smiling. That said all the staff have a permanent smile on their faces.

The Restaurant Manager. It’s hard to call him a Manager as he again, combines seamlessly with his staff and never gives a thought to helping his staff with day to day tasks, as I said before no hierarchy just pure teamwork, just how it should be, and is here. The restaurant staff obviously appreciate their restaurant manager, it was his birthday whilst we were there and the excitement between the restaurant staff when they presented him with a birthday cake during service was palpable, they obviously respect and admire him, what more of an accolade could he have.
Vanessa - in the restaurant. It would be hard to find a more attentive and pleasant person who is so efficient and polite. She gave my disabled wife extra attention to make sure she was comfortable.

The young gentleman with the lovely smile (apologies I have forgotten his name) who is the head of the hotplate in the restaurant, again impressive memory, without any prompting from us he even remembered from on our last visit, that my husband liked lamb and likes it well done. When you consider how many people visit this hotel this again is truly remarkable.

And of course all the unseen staff behind the scenes.

There is nothing else I can tell you about these ‘brilliant people’, they know everything that is needed to make sure guests have a brilliant holiday…..that’s why we, and others, keep returning. We have already booked our next visit in October 2014, this will be our 4th, two week visit in 2 years, says it all doesn’t it.

Tip to anyone starting up a new business. Take your staff to the Protur Playa, watch, look and learn how it should be done it will be the best investment you will ever make.

See you all in October, Gwen & Frank.

Room Tip: Any room at this Hotel is good, no is excellent, pool facing rooms have more sun but garden facing r...

I have just returned from this amazing hotel for the 3rd year running with my 6 and 3 year old.
what can I say.........everyone must go at some point in their lives! It's always my eldest daughters birthday while we are away as we holiday in the school holidays. Chej and the staff always remember us and make it an extra special day for us,with cake, champagne and royalty treatment.
the mini club is run by Aurora who is excellent and always makes our holiday, She works so hard and remembers everybody, she was accompanied this year by Martin, who was very funny and kept us sell entertained. The food is amazing, with champagne every breakfast time if you want it. The pool is excellent and le reserve which is a water park located 5minutes from the hotel is again all inclusive with a 10 euro supplement for adults, well worth the money. this hotel will be one a family jewel and I can't wait to go again next May,missing you all already.Thankyou for making our holiday memories so special. The only reason I havent rated the spa is I haven't had chance to go yet!

Room Tip: Try to get a room at the front of the hotel, the sun is there on the afternoon and my children loved...

We stayed here as a family of 3 (child of 6) in May 2014. We have stayed in many 4 and 5 star hotels previously and this is probably the best for so many reasons. We are usually very critical of hotels and very discerning but it was difficult to find fault with this one. Here is a summary of our experience:
Room - excellent, very modern, spotlessly clean, well appointed, luxurious (twin superior)
Food (buffet) - cannot fault it, extensive choice, extremely high quality, large range of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks. If you don't book 'all inclusive' you will seriously regret it when you see the extremely high standard and range of food served. There is a hot plate where great quality meat and fish is cooked fresh to order, fresh salads every mealtime, around 20 other hot dish options and a huge range of desserts. There is something for everyone. If you fancy a change of scenery for dinner (we didn't think it was necessary due to the huge choice and themed evenings) there are numerous other restaurants in the resort.
Cleanliness - spotless in every area and nothing looks tired, grubby or in need of updating.
Staff - always professional, polite and friendly. The hotel manager greets all dinner guests and is excellent with children of all ages.
Pool area - very clean, stylish, plenty of loungers and Balinese beds, does not feel at all crowded, pools are suitable for all ages. There is a beautiful large outdoor seating area which is shaded and perfect for cooling of or enjoying a pre-dinner drink.
Facilities - there is something for everyone: sports, play areas, indoor pool, WIFI. There are a number of Protur hotels in the vicinity and the facilities in all can be used.
Entertainment - Something for all ages each evening in the bar area and Martin was great with the kids and also entertaining for the adults.
Drink - Extensive and high quality range of drinks and most are included in the 'all inclusive' package. I had a mojito every night and it was to die for.
I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this hotel and will definitely be returning next year.
Simply Superb!

Booked a last minute break to this hotel. Service on arrival was warm and welcoming and when we saw the room wow! The cleanliness was exceptional and as for the food pretty much 5 star every day. The manager always seemed to be on hand to welcome guests. The whole experience was a relaxing one and would highly recommend the hotel to anyone.
