“Lovely Family Hotel”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 4, 2013

We went to thi hotel last August. I booked it all seperatly so saved about £400 on thomson price. It was a very clean hotel. Food was excellent every night , plenty of choice. We had our teenage son with us so hiring bikes and playing mini golf ,all free of charge. Was a great way to start the day or end it with a round of mini golf. Plenty of shops close by and also lots of british bars to go to for a drink in the evening. Most evenings the entertainment room was very busy but we did tend to go out for a walk and visit local bars. All in all a lovely hotel and we wil definatly go back one day. My only minor gripe would be the double beds were new but quite hard.

Stayed here over Easter to celebrate 70th Birthday. Could'nt ask for more. Excellent management and staff - a credit to Protur. Quality and choice of food cannot be faulted. Nice play area for toddlers, and lovely indoor pool. Spacious room, with well thought out layout. Perfect BBC & ITV reception via satellite. A big plus point is that this was the first hotel outside the UK we have stayed at where an electric kettle and a good supply of coffee and tea bags is provided in rooms. Simplicity itself, but it means a lot to those of us who are not human until we have had our morning cuppa. Well done Protur!

Beach and English newspaper shop is about 10 minutes walk from the hotel, as well as a large supermarket. Plenty of bars and restaurants in the area, but prices at the hotel poolside bar are more or less the same.

Easter was a nice time to visit Mallorca, it wasnt crowded at all. It was just over 40 years since we last visited Mallorca, and the first thing we noticed after getting off the plane at Palma was that the new airport must have been designed and commissioned by architects and executives who have a passion for long distance walking. It is not a passenger friendly airport. It takes about an hour from the airport to the hotel, but once there, this route march is soon forgotten!

To summarise, a big 'Well Done' to everybody involved in the running of the hotel!

Definitely been done up to a wonderful standard. Staff were all very friendly and bent over backwards to help you if you needed them. Rooms were immaculate and beds are very comfy. Food is lovely, and they do their best to keep it fresh for you if your later in.

Lovely shops around and a lovely little cafe on the corner of the road for cheap dinners if your only going half board.

Couldnt fault the hotel or the area whatsoever! =]

Room Tip: there isnt much difference at all between a standard and a luxury room. Not worth the money for the...

Hi we stayed here in April 2013 for a week, the room was very good one the best I have ever stayed in, bathroom was clean, shower was very good. Service at the hotel was very high standard with plenty of good food and range of food was wide. We stayed half board, the breakfast was good and dinner. You will have to pay for any drinks at dinner. Snacks and drinks during the day were average cost. Eg a pizza was 6 euros and coffee was 2.5
Cost for safe hire was low but be aware that towels for the pool require a 10 euro deposit that can only be paid in cash. The pool was not heated as was too cold to use in April and there is no inside pool.
Staff are great very happy and make you feel very welcome. The entertainment girl Sarah the ozzie is very good she goes out of her way to help. Overall a great time was had.
Would go here again

We travelled on 7 April 2013 and although a little worried about the weather the average temperature was about 20 degrees. With flights around the 2 hour mark (Only 1hr 55 mins on the way out) it was a perfect destination for us as a family as nobody wanted to travel for too long for a weeks break.
The transfers were a little chaotic as so many flights arrived at once but they did the trick.

The hotel is slightly on the outskirts of Sa Coma but in the direction of Cala Millor and both are easily walkable from the hotel.

The Manager of the hotel is outstanding and very helpful and friendly as are the receptionists, waiters and dining room staff.

The rooms are fantastic and very modern resembling that found more often on a corporate level rather than a family level. The showers are rain forest showers with huge shower heads and I have never seen the children as keen to get cleaned up.

As it was April the 2 outside pools were quite cold as they are not heated. The indoor pool is rather small but should you encounter a shower is passes a time.

The Hotel is connected to its neighbouring 5* sister hotel and the Spa. We did not use the Spa but had good reports from others.

In addition there is a sports facility connecting with at least 16 Tennis courts, Paddle ball courts, Cycle hire and other facilities. These are all free !!!

The cycle hire is particularly cute as there are cycle paths all the way from Sa Coma to Cala Millor (Approx 2.5 km away) All you need to do is leave a refundable deposit.

For those more brave the Castle is just outside the gates bar 1km walk or Mountain Bike ride.
Great views of both Sa Coma and Cala Millor with a lovely small restaurant at the top for a cold beer, an ice cream or a snack.

The main restaurant at the Hotel is quite small but the variety of food is fine and the quality very good. There is a wok station so each night you can choose an oriental dish of your choice cooked fresh for you. This turns into an omelette station in the morning performing a similar task.

The bar again is not huge but perfectly suited and the entertainment is inside which is fantastic on a chilly evening. Should you choose all inclusive they use full branded spirits rarely seen as part of an AI deal. We chose Full board instead as with Cala Millor just up the road we wanted to be flexible.

We chose the Pirates night as an excursions which although rather expensive is a great night out.
That being said the coach from Thomson were chaos and we arrived so late that although we paid mid-price tickets (EUR 190 for 2 adults and 2 children) we were sat in terrible seats pretty much amongst the cheapest area.

Would I go there again. Definitely.

Room Tip: This is a medium sized hotel of only 3-4 floors. The best value for us was to opt for 2 rooms as thi...

This was our first holiday travelling abroad with our son in over 10 years and we were glad we picked this hotel. The restaurant always had lots of choice and was always very freshly prepared. Great evening entertainment. The rooms were very comfortable and really clean. The friendly staff made you feel really at home always happy to help especially Chej the manager what a lovely man, very helpful and always really happy it was a shame the holiday came to an end! We would recommend this hotel to anyone thinking of going to sa coma.

We have just got back from the Protur Sa Coma Playa Hotel and Spa, and have to say were not disappointed at all. The rooms were very comfortable and Retro stylish. Very clean. The bathroom is also very modern.
The restaurant was also very clean and the food was good. There was something different every night, other than the salad bar, but saying that there was a lot of choice.
The staff were friendly and helpful. The entertainment every night was much the same, usually a group or solo singer.
This time of year they shut down part of the complex which we were not told by our Travel agent, but you can still hire the bikes they have on site which is free other than leaving a small deposit. The other restaurents on site,Grill,Tai etc were also closed until the beginning of May.
If i was being picky, the only thing i would be negative about would be the sign with the hotel.s name on, which looks tacky and it does not give this hotel the credit it is due.
We would definately go back to this hotel.

Room Tip: The rooms at the front of the hotel are good if you like sun facing as we found we got the sun most...
