“Good fun but sunbeds should be included in the price.”
Reviewed September 24, 2009

Overall, we enjoyed our day here, the slides are probably not as daring as at other waterparks on the island but it is a good place for a family day out, particulary if you have young children in your group.
The admission price is 17 euros but sunbeds are a further 5 euros each and there is also an extra charge for use of a locker. We found these extra charges rather annoying and made for an expensive day out for the whole family.
I agree with other reviewers about the frequency of the waves - on our visit the wave machine operated for about 10 minutes at midday and another 10 minutes at 3pm. Once an hour would be more reasonable.

“Fantastic day out”
Reviewed September 16, 2009

The Hidropark was excellent. We arrived about 11am and left out about 4pm. We had prepurchased out tickets from rep at hotel so there was no need to queue. Sunbeds were 5 euros to rent but well worth it. Once inside there was lots of nice shady or sunny places to put the sunbeds. The pools and waterslides were fantastic. My son was 6 years old and had a great time. We met some couples with teenagers and they did not enjoy so much so maybe its better for children upto about 11 years of age.
There is also a park with a small swimming pool for really little ones as well as a putting green.

“Take your own refreshments”
Reviewed July 23, 2009

A good day out especially for the children but found the 'extras' rather expensive. We were a party of 5 adults & 3 children so with the added cost of beds it worked out a dear day out.Full marks went to the ever watchful life guards, who moved around about every 20mins and while we were there we actually saw them in action a couple of times,I knowits what they are paid for but we thought they were excellent.
The wave pool was a little dissapointing as the waves only came on once between getting there at 10.30 & leaving at 3.30.
We are visiting Alcudia again in September but don't think we will be going back to the Hidropark as there will be 13 of us this time.Shame.

“Bit pricey but ok”
Reviewed July 20, 2009

Went here with my wife and two young kids. We spent about a half day here I don't think you would get the full day out of it.

It's a bit pricey €50 for two adults and two children - also extra for a locker and sunbed. The waves only come on every few hours which is disappointing but we did find the water was reasonably warm compared to our hotel's pool for example.

The slides were ok but we wouldn't usually go to a waterpark so don't have any others to compare it with.

There is a play area in one of the pools which the kids spent a lot of time at and you can even sit in the shade to watch them there is you want. There is also a grass play area to the side which our kids spent a good bit of time on.

The food is very pricey and a complete rip off so avoid it.

“Don't even go there!”
Reviewed July 4, 2009

We saved this water park until the last day of our holiday as we had to check out at 12 but were not being picked up by bus til 6pm.
We had spent a lovely week around the pools at Bellevue, Alcudia and on Alcudia beach. To be honest, wished we hadn't wasted our last day at this overpriced, less than exciting 'attraction'.
The slides are not exactly white knuckle, half of them you slow to a stop on the way down!
There is a wave pool, we were there from 12 til half three and they only turned it on once for 10 minutes. WHen they turned if off again, everyone booed! The pool was heaving because everyone had been waiting for the waves and the whole park congregated there, so it was actually quite dangerous. You had to pay extra for sunbeds and the green paving slabs were too hot to walk on - although much of the walking area is white so much better
Priced at 17 euros for an adult and 8 for a child, I would definitely give it a miss - its just not worth the money. You also have to pay 5euros for a locker and then you get a guy with a key - one key fits all! Sadly you don't get to keep the guy! The food is overpriced too so either take your own or make sure you won't be hungry.
Plus points? There is ample shade around the edge of the park if its hot and a kiddies play area if they are bored of swimming, but the crazy golf of course is extra.
All in all a really disappointing trip - and certainly not a whole days worth.
